So much happened in today's episode... I was trying to take it all in and failing miserably. But the truth is that none of the major events actually had a great impact and that really did make the episode a little flat for me.. So I can rate it at 7/10 today. It was though, far better than what was shown yesterday.

Our guesses turned out right on Ashvathama😆 And hats off to Duryodhan for immediately seeing an ally in the Ashram. He made sure that he remained in Ashvathama's good books and surely, Duryodhan has seen a little of how much Ashvathama craves for the luxuries..🥱
Dushshaasan is the follower and the more murkh between the two brothers.. 😉

Ashvathama.. the character is one of the weakest in Mahabharath in my opinion. He came from a line of great men and his father had a great many aspirations about him. His grandfather was none other than rishi Bharadwaj and his father was Drona.. Too much precedence to keep up with? 🤔

The fact is that inspite of being favored by his dad and inspite of having the necessary education, Ashvathama turned out to be a weakling and a coward. He was one in the herd and today showed us why he aligned himself with the Kauravas.
Ashvathama wants luxuries in life and he thinks that his father is not really welcome to this change. Unfortunately Ashvathama has forgotten the very basic rule of being a Brahman. Brahmans were required NOT to acquire wealth. They were supposed to live a simple life and concentrate on widening their intellect. That is why they had such a high regard among even the greatest of kings. But lo behold, here is someone from the line of great sages who wants the exact opposite..

Krishna's words ring very true here.. Are we destroying and curbing our children's capabilities by giving them all comforts in a way that the children do not strive for anything in life, leaving them unchallenged and unmotivated to gain something?

The next part had me smiling though I know that maybe this is the first time the Kauravas have even lived away from the palace.. The Pandavas would have had no issues. They are used to life in the forest. So it is no wonder that these kids got ready without needing a wakeup call in the morning😆

I agree with Shruthi.. Drona has the necessary presence but he seems to have lesser impact when he has something like chiding young children or talking about his revenge.. It seems too contrived and does not have the right amount of passion or the necessary amount of passion depending on circumstances.

The best part today though was the last. I liked the way the Princes reacted to the task of seeing the bird on the tree..

Yudhistir - A king in the making. Drona is right. Yudhistir had a natural ability to see things all around before aiming for something. He would always be a careful man.. He would think of others more than he thinks of getting his aim.. That was his strength as well as his fault. He cared too much about other things.. He would certainly be a good king, great one too but his near and dear ones would surely feel the brunt of his nature😊

Bheem - Now what do I say😆 Little Bheem seems to be the only source of humor around MB today. Aww. .the punishment was pretty harsh but needed. I think Bheem is one person who would not be tamed. He would find ways to get what he wants even with all these punishments around.

Duryodhan - The way Duryodhan answered Drona, it is apparent that for him, his target matters the most, to heck with consequences.. It is a pity that this nature is something that never changed. As Drona said, that is why Duryodhan is not considered a Yodha par excellence..

And finally... drum roll... Arjun...

RIght on target, concentration and aim.. He wipes the smug smile off Ashvathama's face.. The first step where jealousy and greed would start combining...

Just one thing. The kid who plays Arjun is doing a good job, no questions but I feel that the director should concentrate and teach him more about how to hold himself.. Arjun may be young but he had the tejas of the archer he was going to becoming right from the time he started his education. The actor playing Arjun seems a little less confident at times especially when it comes to close ups. This reduces the impact the scene would otherwise have.. So though Arjun hitting bulls eye should have made me hoop, it kinda felt flat for me today..

Again a lot happening and tomorrow, a lot more to happen.. Will Arjun, Drona and the crocodile be this week or next?

This show is improving now. The dialogues were good in this epi. Specially about Dronacharya telling about hitting the aim only when there is proper controll on the result.
His explanation of four different types of friendship was perfect.

i liked todays's episode .. i liked drona and ashwathama scene .. it conveyed the humiliation of a father and son in need of luxuries ..
explaination of 4 friendship was good
kuravas trying to live without luxury and pandavas ease with no luxury was shot well ..

loved the " what do you see " as target was very insightful ..
Yudi : always seeing whole picture worrying abt what right what not ,
Bheem : agreeing with yudi but his food takes priority
Duryo : just thinking of instant gratification .. not thinking of result of his action ..
and Arjuna's concentration and focus and confidence in result was put forth nicely 😊

Forgot to add .. it also showed Ashwathama being proud of being his father best student .. and his happiness shattered by Arjun .. nicely captured

@Justlikethat...Loved your take..
few things that I actually liked in the episode...This guy is doing an awesome job as Duryodhana

His glee and eagerness to prove himself...especially since Bheem got punishment!!

Durri's aggressive and Rashness...

His ego wounded and total eclipse of confidence when he was told to put down his weapon!!
Insecure son born in the lap of an insecure father!!

And then he restores his ego ..albeit negatively...more jealousy and hatred filling in!!

Awesome job done by the little master!!!

Loved Drona's most dialogues today..especially the ones he told Duri...though I did not like how he told Yudi that he cannot be a Dhanurdhara...Yudi could not be the best Dhanurdhara...but he can definitely use the Dhanush fairly!!

Add: Also..the graphics of Arjun's arrow going right through the bird's eys!! Wonderfully done!! It might not look like a hi fi graphic...but this must have been tough!!!

Best part of the episode was kauravas not being able to sleep during the night😆
This episode was all about bulid up.Building up the friendship of duryodhan and ashwathama, building up of competiton/jealousy between ashwahthama and arjun, building up of yudhishtir as a just and kind king(not wanting to kill ants and eggs),building up the relationship between arjun and drona, arjun's first step towards being a great archer. All these intial build ups and first steps will led to epic relations ,characters and consequences.
I am actually liking Drona i dont think he is strict just determined to get what he wants that is the way i see it.The kid enacting duryodhan is good but sometimes his expressions are too extreme but i guess that is required for his character
Oh BTW also the scene where drona burns duryodhan's tent was good.It showed Drona's authority and that he is no pushover. But does that mean Shakuni had actually set up that tent?I am confused but in any case scene was good. But they need more BG scores they are using the same score agaian and again it will get boring soon

yup, agree with you,it was a build up epi for the next phase, the bird's eye pearcing was a great sceane from the epic and it was aptly portrayed in the show, about duryodhan's perceptions about the target was more like an artilery personel than a archer.

Thank you Srushti 😳 I am Harini..😊

After Bheem, I think Duryodhan is cast perfect.. While Bheem's charm is in his characterization, Duryodhan is really a credit for this actor who is playing the character.
He may be over intense on certain shots but he is really good with the various emotions and is spot on most times..hats of to him👏
