Today Bheeshm had 'siti mar dialogues'.You know like when you are seeing a movie and people whistle on heroes dialogues i felt like doing that today. Bheem was awesome like the Bheem we know from MB.The child actor is amazing
I even liked shakuni's challenging experience in the end like i will be back and he will be we all know.
One of the good episodes .Go Bheeshm Go
My only complain is why didnt they include Bheeshm's BG score in his dialogues. This was a Bheeshm episode they should have included his BG score
Also kunti this actress has such a blank expression on her face .After pandu got married for the second time i have only seen this one expression on her face.MB serial is full of wonderful actors she needs to pick it up

Had the real Bheeshma been as strong willed as shown today, how could he have joined the Kaurava army?

Exactly Birbabe😊

Bhishm, Drona, Kripacharya, all these elders were duty bound to Hastinapur and it's king and hence they fought the war against the Pandavas. Even salliyan who was actually nakul and sahadev's mama fought for the kauravas because he was tricked to grant Duryodhan his support in the war. This is why salliyan abandons Karna just when Karna needs him as he understood the treachery and had been word bound to support the side he abhorred.

A lot of good guys died warring for the bad side only because they were bound by their duty and word.

He was king today as well, but Bheeshma browbeat him into doing what he wanted. Had the real Bheeshma been like that, he could have done so many things, like stopped the vastraharan, forced the return of Indraprastha, even forced Duryodhan to be sent into vanvas

Vrish, this is what I wrote in Sabhayata's thread with a similar question about Bheeshma.

Sabhyata, Bheeshm stayed strong till the end. But unfortunately when the evil gains more power, the good ones take a beating in the process until Good finally overcomes the bad. That is what happens.

Currently, Dhridhrashtra has only Shakuni by his side. His sons are young and they have no power. At this juncture, Hastinapur still to some extent had the good fortune wherein Dhridhrashtra with or without actually wanting it, had to listen to Bheeshm and Vidur on many matters.

But as the princes grow up and when they return home after Gurukul, Dhridhrashtra got his side of people to support, instigate and make him make decisions overriding those of Bheeshm and Vidur. With Duryodhana and his brothers to his side, and with Shakuni making a comeback, Dhridhrashtra who is currently outnumbered will gain strength..

Bheeshm and Vidur were just simply outnumbered when it came to the scenarios you mentioned. Both Bheeshm and Vidur will be slighted, their opinions rudely ignored once Duryodhan comes back. As King Dhridhrasthra would do nothing but stay silent and pretend nothing happened. And as King, he reigned supreme.

Also, Duryodhan and Shakuni would always come up with the arguments that supported their actions however falsely they had to represent the facts. Dhridhrshtra like he did with those fishermen would side the Kauravas and not consider what Bheeshm or Vidur would say.

It is really sad the way it happened. But MB war had a good many people on the side of Kauravas only because of the fact that they bound themselves with Duty and Dharam to take orders from their king Dhrid and not because they actually supported it.

Well said :)
Bhishma knew he's the biggest hurdle on the pandavas way to victory and that's the reason he himself confessed to Yudhishthira that he would keep aside his weapons in case a woman/half woman comes in front of him. Even though he was fighting on the wrong side, he clearly stated he won't attack any of the five brothers. His 'Vijay aashish' was with them only. And nobody would have understood the pain he underwent facing those who were raised by him.

Bhishma's entire life was full of loneliness, pain and frustrations except the period he was on the bed of arrows, he was in peace then. Perhaps this is how the curse was supposed to lead his lifetime.

Dhrit is such a strange man! He gets hyper when someone reminds him of his blindness and yesterday he himself used his blindness to gain sympathy.
