Hi guys, i took part in the OS contest & wrote this story there!! i thought few might have missed to read this OS in the Contest thread so here is your chance to read this simple OS!!
OS: PURGATORY TO PARADISE
"Shero, Stop!" Madhu screamingly ran behind her dog but before she could chase shero', it ran into a huge Mansion next to her house through the gap in the gate. She stood rooted in front of the gate wondering whether she should go in to get Shero' or not! She don't know whose Mansion was that as she was new to that place but her friends had warned her not to enter the mansion at any cost. But she bravely walked in calling Shero! Shero!' & her eyes were scanning for her dog but she couldn't find it anywhere. Then she saw the house door was wide open & she hesitantly stepped to seek someone's help. "Hello? Is anyone there?" she asked with fear stained voice but there was no reply. She looked around the hall & her eyes popped out seeing the photos hanged on the wall. Omg! Am I really in his house? Is this the reason why my friends restricted me to enter in? Suddenly she heard a glass breaking sound & she turned towards the direction to see a man sitting on the Bar stool & drinking. Is this he? The Superstar RK? My Hero? Oh I want to see him badly but he is facing the other side! Shit!
"Excuse me" she nervously called him.
He tilts his head to see her & his eyes were dark & furious & he took a slug of amber liquid.
"Hello, Hero. I .. I m Madhubala, I'm your biggest fan! I have seen all your movies & I like you so much" she said excitedly.
"Leave" Rk said gritting his teeth & he throws the grass next to her feet breaking it into pieces & making her jump a step back. Oh how arrogant he is! She feels shittier for liking him but who will not like him, this romantic, ever so sweet & kind hero? He takes every girl's breathe away when he appears in screen but now he is behaving like a monster! Can't he be little polite with his fan? She pouts mentally.
"Um.." she shakily whispered.
"I said leave. I want you out of my mansion, now" he angrily said without looking at her & gulps directly from the bottle this time.
"Hero, please. Shero' my dog ran into your house & I can't leave without shero." She said stubbornly.
He abruptly stood on his heels knocking the bar stool down & moved towards her & clutched her arms & she winched in pain. Tears prickled from her eyes & her legs went Jell-O but, she kept staring at him & he was burning her with his eyes.
"Get the hell out of here or I'll kill you" he shouted & raised the drinks bottle up high to hit her but she covered her face in defense & she started panting. Seeing her body shake in fear & tears rolling down her cheeks, He ferociously turned & accidently hit the bottle on her forehead. "Ah!!" she yelped & she held her bleeding head & fainted down on floor on the broken glass pieces, cold & pale.
After composing himself from his drunken state, he tapped her cheeks with his knuckles to wake her but she remained unconscious so he picked her up in his arms & laid her on his bed & cleaned her wound & applied ointment on it.
At morning, Madhu woke first with a pounding head & got shocked to see Rk's hand on her stomach & turned to see him sleeping besides her peacefully like an innocent child but suddenly previous day incident came to her mind & she angrily pushed his hand & was about to get out of the bed but he held her hands tight & mumbled sleepily but pain was palpable in his voice "Don't leave me, Please! I'm all alone" & he passed again. After hearing those words she felt a deep bang on her heart & tears stream down her cheeks but she don't know why his words hurt her so much. She gently released her hand out of his hold & caressed his head once & left his place.
Madhu was walking on the side of the road absent mindedly, suddenly she jerked hearing a screeching sound of a car & Rk came out of the car & said "I want to talk to you, Get inside the car". She remained dumbstruck. "Will you get in or help me so I'll put you in" he asked arrogantly. Out of fear she gets in to the passenger side clutching her bag close to her neck. "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you, in fact I wanted to apologies to you. I never let anyone in my mansion especially girls, you were the first one dared to enter my place & defied me to go out" his eyes were dark while saying this. "& when I saw you in, I last my control & shouted at you & I raised the bottle to threaten you but I accidently hit you. I'm really sorry! How is your head?" He asked calmly & his eyes were filled with concern.
"It's Okay, I'm fine!" she whispered. He nods but he still feels guilty for hurting her.
He stopped the car in front of her house & he opened the door for her & she stepped out & moved towards her house not before gazing him.
"Wait" he said. He quickly opened the rear door & took a basket & gave it to her. She looked puzzled at first & then smiled brightly seeing her shero' in it. She kissed shero & it licked her face affectionately & Rk smiled at her & said "I found your dog.." "Shero" she corrected him. "Yeah, Shero was lying behind my couch".
"Oh! Thanks hero" She smilingly waved her hands at him. Hero? Okay!
"Bye" he waved her back.
My hero is not that bad! Actually he will be too good in playing negative role! He scared the hell out of me but still he is sweet. Rite, Shero? She asked shero & grinned ridiculously.
At night she got dressed in her night dress & went near the balcony to get some fresh air & looked at RK's house & it was fully dark, suddenly she saw some movement in his back yard & her eyes went wide seeing Rk kneeling & lying his head on ground & crying. His cry was cathartic which pierced her heart. She dashed out of her house & went to the garden to see him. Still he was crying & his face was buried in his hand. "RK" she called his name softly & kneeled in front of him. He stared at her for moments, he was fully drunk, then suddenly he launched himself on her & she hugged him back & soothed him by giving solace to him on her shoulders. Then she led him to his room & made him lie on his bed & he drifter to sleep holding her hands & she sat beside him caressing his hair.
"Hey! What are you doing here?" He asked seeing her in his kitchen that too early morning.
"I'm making breakfast for you, if you say I'll go so no need to raise any bottle to frighten me" she teased him.
"No, I won't frighten you again, sorry. Won't your parents say anything?"
"No! My parents are in London, I came to India for my project & I'm staying with my friends" she replied.
"Oh"
"Breakfast is ready!" She invited him to the dining table.
"Thanks for consoling me last night & making this delicious breakfast! After years I'm eating homemade food" he smiled sadly.
"Can I ask you something?" she hesitated. He goes pale.
"I know what you are going to ask but still ask"
"Why you were crying in the back yard yesterday?" She asked nervously & he went blanch.
"Not yesterday but every day I use to cry on my yard because my.. my mother's dead body was buried there" He closed his eyes in pain. Oh shit!
"I'm sorry! How? How long?" she asked.
"When I was five years old, my father, that f**ker used to drink & bring girls to this place & if my mother asked anything he beats her like a shit & one day he went out of control & killed her & buried her in the back yard in front of my eyes. Years later he too died as a result of over drinking. My childhood was hell which is still" all the blood drained south from her face after hearing his dark past.
"I was helpless; I feel guilty that I couldn't save her from that Devil. I was left all alone. I yearned for love so I entered film industry which gave me everything but love is something very far" he said with a hint of tear.
"I LOVE YOU" she said looking at him. He looked at her shocked & smirked at her.
"I don't want your pity, Madhubala. I couldn't hold my pain anymore so I unburdened it to you! That's it. You may leave now" He ordered.
"It's not pity but it's sorrow & sympathy for a boy who lost his mother at a very young age & yearning for love which I want to give, till Eternity & Please don't blame yourself because you are not responsible for what happened. It's not your duty to protect her at that age" she said with tears.
"Please, don't cry for me & don't say you love me. You deserve someone better. So please leave, now" He said not looking straight into her eyes.
"I deserve no one but you & you said Don't leave me' so I'm not leaving you because I know you do love me that's why you shared your lives most personal thing" she said sternly.
"When did I say that?" he asked.
"The first day when I woke up in your bed you held my hands & said not to leave you & you passed out" she whispered.
"Oh! That night was the only night I slept peacefully without any nightmares & loneliness because you were beside me" his lips quirk up slightly.
"Yes, I do love you, right from the first day you stepped into my house, you were so pure, so innocent & so beautiful & I could feel an unknown pull towards you but I was scared that I will turn like my father & hurt you which I did eventually, though not intentionally. That's the reason why I never entertained with any girl because I don't want them to end like my mom."
"You are not ruthless like your father. You are so kind & good at heart like your mother that's why you were worried for me & you took care of my wound & you apologized too & you even found my shero & gave him back to me. I know you will never hurt me. I trust you, RK" She assured him. He remained still.
Losing patience she stood up from her chair & moved close to him& pulled him up & slammed her lips hard on his & invaded her tongue into his & a moment later they both started kissing passionately, a kiss with full of love, longing, trust, promises... A kiss which changed the whole perceptive of RK & they remained silent just hugging each other.
"I love you, madhu! Will you be my life? My wife? Will you marry me?"
Hallelujah!!
"I love you too, always. And Yes, I will marry you but.."
"What?"
"I want you to quit drinking"
"Anything for you, love" he whispered near her ears & hugged her tight feeling loved in her embrace.
"You are a real superstar not only on screen but in real life too. Thanks to Shero for running into your fence or else I wouldn't have got MY HERO" she grin.
"Thanks to you for giving your hand & bringing me out of the purgatory of loneliness & leading me towards the paradise of Love" He said & took her lips once again for a life affirming kiss.
