RK was possessive for his wife because He loves her. He doesn't mind her dancing in SRK party or any such gathering. Only time he actually showed possessiveness is the Sultan track because he had the hots for his wife.. Any man will be possessive in such circumstances. But I never found him narrow minded or chauvinistic. I am sure he wouldn't have been slighted if madhu was wearing such gowns in his parties.

madhu wore a black gown during her revenge..agree that RK gave her..she wore it and the only thing she is uncomfortable is with the shoes not with the dress..she even taken him to the dance before everyone..and she didnt feel an inch of shy..At that time madhu is able to do anything for her revenge she can go beyond her comfort zone..THIS IS CLEARLY SEEN..

Here it's a question of her husband's dignity. From what I understand about a marriage, a husband n wife's respect in society is kinda interdependent. If one is insulted the other is insulted as well. So she is doing it to save her husband and indirectly her own honor.

And RK is not at the end of stardom. Else he wouldn't take this risk with a novice.
