Now as to the point of the drastic changeover,
The introduction was planned for a new actress stepping into the industry, so it stands to reason that just like honey is used to attract the bees, her presentation must be lucrative and attractive enough to rouse people's interests. Thats how Bollywood works. Its always the visual pathways that are activated first. 😆 The new heroine must look glamorous enough to turn heads.
So in such a case a gown is a better choice compared to a sari for a new actress. And a gown is a better choice that a shorter figure hugging dress for a married woman. So the gown wins hands down either way. 😆
Also, I think its not the dress which makes Madhu nervous and self-conscious but the eyes of the people and the camera. When she wore the black gown, she was comfortable because she was dressing for RK but here she is literally presenting her entire self to the world. There is a difference in the set of eyes she is trying to impress.
Also it stands to reason that Madhu knows exactly what standard of style and confidence is expected of RK's heroine. And so what is she supposed to do? Let her nervousness get the better of her and freeze up in front of the camera? And let RK's reputation go down the drain?
Dont think so.
The only choice she had is to buckle up and face it head on. She can sort out her nerves when its all over. If anyone has ever been onstage to perform a speech or dance or song...they will know all are nervous the first time you go up there...but you brace yourself and finish the performance and then deal with your nerves backstage...
I guess thats what she will do as well...turn her senses off, concentrate on the dance and later freak out in secret if necessary 😆
