And here I knew Sullu would be caught in the end so was tolerating the track.😊

Great analysis, was a great read, thank you!

Something that has baffled me during this entire Sultan chapter/debacle is how not only were they trying to throw everything but the kitchen sink at the viewers to see whether anything stuck, but also how they completely misjudged how repelled viewers would be at this not-so-subtle crossing the lines of common values of decency, morality, family that we all hold dear. It had to fail.

For what it is worth, Dil Se - am with you. I just could not identify with that movie (and now I know why, thanks to your post!), and was annoyed that I watched it, even though the songs were fantastic and I'm a Mani Ratnam fan.

I agree with your post except for Dil Se movie analogy.

Dil Se movie was brilliant and showed why people become terrorist in the 1st place. Terrorism is not black or white, even though that is not the answer to what you suffered or endured.

Manisha's character saw her family die and herself getting raped at the age of 12 by men who are suppose to serve & protect them. Sadly these type of things do happen in real life by the army men. Heard many instances where army men have raped women in war torn villages or area's.

About Sultan yes there were way to many inconsistencies and loopholes in the character itself. Plus the actor was not that good to bring the layer's out of the character. Another negative.

Another was butchering the leads & other established characters. Not giving up on the character that got rejected by the audience at every track.

excellent post Shruti👏 the bhai s character never made any sense 😕right from the beginning. If he was so goody goody where did his love for his son disappear when he used him as bait. also the son and mother wne tout of the picture completely when he started leching after Madhu. anyway the list is endless. am just glad that this character is out of the story - better late than never 😆

Well said ⭐️👍🏼
i would like to add that another mistake the Channel made was underestimating how much the audience is attached to RK and his character. they tried to make the viewers favorite out to be a villain, but as soon as hint of the other guy getting prominence in the show was made TRP audience was willing to forgive and overlook anything RK did and condone Madhu's character for associating with that illiterate hoodlum. and to top it all off, they got what probably has to be the most incompetent actor there is to play the role of a disaster character who had track after clunky track to sell himself, and fell flat on his face each time. 👎🏼 Hope the Channel learn from their mistakes and reconsider their nepotism towards that particular person, now that 2 of their shows have suffered because of blind favoritism.

Very appropriate comments...👏. Sultan's character was not well conceived to begin with as others were. The flaws were visible from the beginning and there is not much change in the end either. This track is an experiment gone wrong and should be changed as soon as possible.

Thats a fact. RKs all misdeeds were forgotten the moment Sultan and MB friendship started. 😆😆
