Episode 349 Discussion: 13th August 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. It is entertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. We do not want to feel stifled into that kind of atmosphere here.

There are several other social welfare sites that are there to discuss the genuine issues. If for some reason, it is felt that social concerns have to be addressed and ethical and moral responsibility needs to be exercised for watching entertainment, then; certainly the forum is an open place to create separate ATs and build up that kind of propaganda.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread. Strong words such as psychopaths unless used in show, need not be used to instigate riotous atmosphere or start sermonizing.

POINTERS for Writing/Posting of your reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.
Regulate the font size. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters for no special reason.
The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating/whining/complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum.
When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.

anger/hurt/majboori whatever, she shouldn't have slapped Bittuji...

the clunk drama continues..Sultan in RK mansion but nobody bothers to find out, the scene changed to morning..needless to mention, RK mansion is a dharamshala , anyone can walk in and walk out, there is no security or cameras !

Madhubala Kundra took the cue from Sultan bhai and gave BITTUJI the papers and asked him to get it signed ! wow ! how real !

no comments on Bhai and Madhu's scene, totally ridiculous ! the same phata hua dhol from both of them..aren't they bored of saying the same thing over and over again? "tumne divorce paper sign kyun nahi karaye", "RK ki maut", "mujhe maar do", "humari zindagi", "mera pyar" 🤢

Rk in a fit of anger signs off the papers well thanks to spoilers he burns them later on
Bittuji is given the mahaan job of getting papers signed.
i fail to understand why is it that RK is still thinking, is not more than easy to figure out what is going on??
and dipali, is the biggest casulality of this track, she is totally gone nuts

so sulthan motto again is not madhu, he wants her to be seperated from Rk because, she is his support system and then publicly humiliate him. his target is always RK madhu is his means

whatever were the circumstances, i hated madhu slaping bittuji,,,,had she shown that courage, anger to the creep, or in talking out to RK, things would have been different,,,
he puts a gun directed at RK and gets madhu to divorce him now to humiliate him in public and then to marry him and stay as his wife if this is what it is the list can be never ending,all u need to say is "i will kill RK",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,seriously now his demands are unending

Sultan and Madhu scene - Ghiso-peeto..same old everything. Only Sultan has become more brazen and enters RK mansion. And no, Dips did not let him in. So was it Mangesh or Patil?? Who else is left now to be butchered??
Sultna has now added one more clause - Madhu has to announce to the media, that she is divorcing RK!! Umm, am sorry Madhu. I know you are traumatized. but can you please ask that mahaanta ki moorat how does he plan to implement his part of the deal??? Just like that, I am curious...😆
The escape of Sultan is quite comic...with Rji, Sikky, Bittuji all involved. Dips hides Sultan in the guest room and emerges with a ghastly mask on her face to fool everybody...whatever. Madhu guesses that she 's hiding Sultan.
Bittuji comes to the jail with divorce papers. Blah blah goes on...RK signs them in anger. I was very irritated, RK still does'nt seem to have grown back his brains😡.
Madhu packing... (where will she go??? chawl, I hope 😡). Even if everybody has on an long outdoor shoots, at least keys will be around!!?? But this is logical, and Mb land has stopped following even a teensy weensy bit of logic. So 🤢
Bittuji come in, uksaos her, tries to provoke her into revealing the reason behind this divorce. he's going to get one of Madhu's tight slaps tomorrow. Now he will live through what his chief went through, eons ago. 😆

God, these people, RK, Bittuji noone believed Madhu when she said Sultan was alive. Now why are they so puzzled?? And best part is still, tubelight has'nt come on, not one person so far has even thought of SUltan being behind this. RK is thinking of Sultan but for different reasons.

this was simply the worst episode of Bhai era 🤢 the way Sultan escaped (which they didn't bother to show), Madhu asking Bittuji to get divorce papers signed, Sultan constantly asking Madhu to do all the thinking and action , RK signing the divorce papers thinking that Madhu ditched him bec. of his bad waqt (which was quite hilarious😆)...this is the heights ! can we plz take a U turn from here?

@Soundarya, agree with you, Madhu has the guts to slap Bittuji but not that 🤬 who keeps on talking abt RK's death every 2nd moment...for him she cannot show her aggressiveness ! uske liye bas "Sultan"? and bulging eyes 🤢

Random thoughts, as I count down to the end of this track - hope things get more interesting in the next few days.

Yuck! LV is now in the house. CVs are really painting this guy as truly scary. Can you imagine, girls, what that would feel like to have your house invaded by a pervert who gives you a sleazy look as he sinisterly sidles up, to deliver threats in your own home.
LV and Madhu have another broken-record conversation. Which ends with Madhu drawing blood. Only scratches his cheek. Too bad, I was rooting for severing of certain vital body parts.
Sultan tries to evade Bittuji, ably assisted by Dips. Still, the entire household is roused. Madhu looks at Dips when she is making her excuses - does she suspect Dips involvement? Hopefully this is something she has filed away, to be retrieved at the appropriate time.
Dips - what an immoral leech. Good pairing with Sultan, the disgusting lech.
RK signs the papers in a rage, after hearing how Madhu had them even in the hospital (as he was - gasp - fighting for his life.)
Bittuji got to spend a lot of time with RK and Madhu today- trying to make sense of and talk sense into both of them, albeit unsuccessfully. And then catches Madhu referring to herself as Madhubala Kundra (not Malik.) Dare we hope that the wheels are going to spin at least in Bittuji's head (since his Chief seems to be suffering from temporary loss of brain cells?)

The Precap: Madhu slaps Bittuji after he talks about Sultan should have shot RK, instead of the other way around. Whoa! Of course, I fully expect Bittuji to turn the other cheek and say something to the effect of - now I know how much you love my Chief, or some such thing. BTW, didn't RK slap Bittuji during unwedding?

I just thought of the same thing...RK did slap Bittuji post unwedding. poor guy!! And yuck is the word for Sultan, and he seems to be jaywalking down the stairs, The actors are doing their own thing, is it?? isn't there any direction happening, to give appropriate reactions, at appropriate points? Khair, never had high expectations from Sultan.

Can't believe that the CV's have taken the brain out of RK's skull and thrown it away as it's not good for the idiotic track...

Like seriously RK(*head-desk) the woman was telling you to give a tight-wala hug the previous night and she was caressing your cheek today morning and you actually went ahead and signed the divorce papers in anger!!!!

And from the promo you ain't gonna let her off so easily... Can you actually grow a brain and put all the pieces together? never mind you think Sultan is dead.. but apart from that atleast realize that your wife's actions and words ain't fitting into the story..

CV's seriously cut the crap!!!!! Heights of stupidity!!!

They look like they are trying to get a very different reaction than the one this track is actually getting (just as for the tracks in the past several months).😕 There certainly seems to be majority-audience worry and concern for the lead couple, but also perhaps a disappointment and irritation at the extremely uncharacteristic weakness displayed by both simultaneously all of a sudden - which is discouraging to whatever extent in terms of anticipation and viewability of the unfolding story.
But this time the powers-that-be understand and recognize the unfortunate viewership situation well enough to be handing out massive spoilers like they have a surplus.😲😃
Today's episode showed RK signing the divorce papers at the jail.🥱
And in advance - to completely blunt the impact of the scene, and reassure viewers - they released the promo *yesterday* of RK back home in his own bedroom burning those divorce papers.😃
The promo of the upcoming fate of the signed papers rendered the scene of the signing today to completely filler status.😕😆
While other serials *may* have repeatedly announced outcome during an ongoing track, I'm not aware of any such instance.
MEIEJ's current track is the only one I've known where the channel and PH both seem to know that a very specific outcome is the only thing which will hold and rebuild the serial's lapsed mass-viewership.
Even a slight suspenseful question about any facet of the ongoing track is followed swiftly by an overt reassurance implicit that the suspense suggestion was nothing of the sort.😕😊

And while I would have dearly preferred Madhu *not* slap Bittuji, it is not against her characterization.😊
Bittuji, Sikki, Dipali, Trishna are all close enough in age to Madhu that - if they speak in favour of RK's death when he's just barely recovered from a brush with death - Madhu slapping any of them is even odds.
She *might* not. But if she *does*, it would hardly be a surprise.
She would desist from slapping the senior generation - her own parents, Radha, Roma - but would have no qualms in turning completely against them with no regard for their possible reasons.
Shamsher and Padmini have both felt the full extent of that deprioritization in the two separate instances for each when Madhu felt they were a threat to RK's wellbeing and/or her relationship with him.😊
And right now, Bittuji is the only one that Madhu's displaying rage in RK's defence in front of would serve any purpose in this dragfest interminable track.
Padmini has a default mode when it comes to Madhu - she always agrees to anything that Madhu firmly and overtly insists on.
And everyone else that might support Madhu or go against her seem unworthy of wasting such a moment of Madhu rage.
Bittuji is likely to make at least a token attempt to find out what's going on.😊 I'm not hopeful of more than that, considering the need to enhance Madhu's hunted-prey position has caused the track to make RK look extremely uncharacteristically insensible.😕
Her slapping Sultan would serve no purpose (though they may do it anyway) unless it's the climax scene of the track with Madhu to deliver brutal and hopefully satisfactorily fatal response *effectively*. I would prefer that she limit herself to potentially lethal weapons in striking at Sultan even in the interim rather than slaps that the track is not yet permitting her to back with greater force.
And if the purpose of this track weren't so blatantly to invoke sympathy for Madhu, they wouldn't be showing RK so lacking in the shrewdness that never deserted him even at extreme emotionally wrought points.😕
So no point in expecting anyone else to help Madhu be less helpless until a few episodes more at least.
Have bitter confidence in how much they are likely to drag out this 'interesting' track through each episode.🥱
But so long as they sensibly continue releasing reassuring news nullifying any depressing developments by showing the aftermath before the actual scene, they may manage to ride out mass-audience-reaction through the next several episodes.😕😊
It's a novel and probably unique stratagem and may serve as a liferaft in terms of viewership.
Those who might have got depressed or adversely reacted to RK signing the divorce papers in today's episode have already known - for almost a day in advance - that he'll be back home from jail and burning those divorce papers.😃
And considering the ruthlessness of RK's character, it might even be effectively shown that his reactions to Madhu and Bittuji - and even his flashback of Madhu's stated reason - might be placed in a very different and less uncharacteristically unawares interpretation.
Sincerely hope that if such an excellent outcome is intended (one hopes) to this facet of the current situation, then it should not be delayed much further.
His revealing the 'haldi' win after an entire day of apparently losing was fun, because win or defeat would both be sweet.😳
*This* is not a similar situation, and watching RK and/or Madhu helpless or unawares is excruciating, and more difficult to endure with each scene.
This is *not* a situation where they are behaving characteristically.
Madhu has never been so helpless, and a threat to RK should have had her reacting lethally by now. RK has never been no insensible.
The story-decisionmakers might perhaps keep in mind that when they have Madhu and/or RK behave uncharacteristically for the sake of a track, it makes the track inappreciable on mass terms.
That is unlikely to differ even if outcome is to the majority's taste, since the developments in each episode en route to the outcome are extremely depressing and very much the opposite of what would have majority-audience rush to watch.
The sooner RK's shrewdness and Madhu's indomitable courage are resuscitated, the better the remainder of this track may be endured and perhaps even appreciated as it has - going by viewership maintaining barely acceptable mass-numbers - not been so far.😊
