Shewta, I've caught up till Saturday's episode. And nothing I've seen shows me why and how we've gotten past that part.

RK's narration missed one important point on why she decided on this 'revenge.' She didn't just suddenly stop hurting and go to the next step. No, she got to that point because of his constant stalking, harassment and emotional manipulation. They still haven't let the audience forget about it. You think a love which she described as filled with pain, and wounds, one which you won't understand because we've chosen it, we're nothing without it, we have nothing but that love-- is healthy? it's not. And they have kept reminding us with the flashbacks and some of the dialogues.

Madhu comes off as someone who a textbook victim. Look at her, she's always dragged, she's begging. He makes her feel as though she's done wrong, she feels horrible, so when he finally forgives it all and accepts she will be so happy. He is such a manipulator.

One time she did speak up, yes. At the wedding venue, and she told him not to insult her in front of all...and of course she went on to speak of how sorry she was for her "revenge plan," and went on to claim how much she loved him. She's like a person drowning and trying, begging to hold on to something.

Everything he did there, it was to make it all look fine to the outside world.

To this time, we still see him treating her as his possession. Show me where he has not.

Haha when I said lets get past that part, I meant lets pretend that he stops doing that. Then what? Please just simply answer my question. What is the perfect redemption according to you? What should have RK done?

I don't like to twist things around. I like my answers flat out.

Why would I pretend he stops doing that? He's never stopped doing that. That is part of his characterization. When he stops doing it, then perhaps I can think about it. But to be honest, it wouldn't matter since to this date he hasn't stopped doing it, so if he suddenly stops doing it (which I doubt) 1) it's uncharacteristic 2) it wouldn't matter because the way he got to this point in the first place is distasteful.

So basically it's saying, be a jackass, possessive, stalkerish, etc etc. Get the girl. Have the girl lose her whole identity, self respect, everything. And once she's in such a state and blind, clinging on to you...suddenly you will change your methods and be a good guy. Hah. But even if you do change your methods and be a good guy, 1) not believable 2) so the ends justifies the means?

Then why didn't you just tell me in the first place that you didn't want to answer my question? Its okay! Bye, have a nice day 😃 It was fun talking to you! But if you are still interested in answering my question for real then I will restate my question...What is the perfect redemption according to you? What should have RK done?

Bye now! It was nice talking to you! 😃

LOL... I did answer your question. You are just viewing it as not an answer.

The answer is that he needs to stop treating her as his possession. How is he redeemed, when he continues doing so? That would be the start of his redemption. (Though redemption doesn't mean he should end up with her.)

lol okayy. I'm not going to say anything different from likarsh. She answered. But here's my thing.

Perfect redemption = growth. Its about atoning for your sins and changing your methods and your ways.

In normal redemption tracks its about the redeeming the character singularly, not in respect to another character. So for RK to redeem himself he needs to grow and change as a person first. However, when they show this growth and change in relation to Madhu only, that's what makes it problematic. Because redemption, the phrase, is misused in that context. He's only managed to get her forgiveness. He hasn't redeemed himself in any way.

Like I said true redemption, is about growth. For RK this would involve learning empathy and learning to respect all relationships. The atonement part usually involves finding the victim (someone you've wronged) and trying to make it up in whatever way you can. Making it up doesn't have to involve a 'romantic' make up. He can get her beautician job back. He can choose to undo the chains.

Reason why I don't find RK redeemable is because from what I've seen is that he's incapable of growth and atonement involves actions, not words. So he loses on both counts.
That's my 2 cents anyway. Hope I've answered your question
