Yes, senti. Slang created by Indians. No one else uses this word. If you really had any clue, you would know this. But alas, you think you are more intelligent and more informed than you are. Remember, key word here is, think! Also, there is nothing wrong with my grammar or tenses. However, for your information, I am not writing a paper here so I am not being too formal. Plus, I don't need you to educate me on using slang words. Hahaha

My children? What makes you think I have children? Hmmm very ignorant and might I say odd for you to assume that. Also, do not talk about my family in any way. You are getting way too personal with me.

Well you did write abt your family visiting Indians/ Nepalese relatives and being found snobbish but it seems to be edited now...But I agree, lets not go there.

Yes, I do think i am more intelligent and well informed than you.Undoubtedly! And if u arent writing a formal paper, Drashti too isnt giving a vocabulary test! For you to judge her and not be judged yourself is hypocrisy in the extreme! You may have heard "Practice Before you preach" You would do well to remember that.

Now dont get "senti" reading this, ok?

You are reading someone else's post. And here you are, thinking you are more intelligent than me. You are not able to even read properly! Please, give me a break. You are sounding even more ridiculous than before now.

Also, Drashti is giving an interview where she should conduct herself within a professional manner. If I were involved in the entertainment industry, I would do the same. I'm sorry, but using words like "kick ass" is not cool! Also, when you are in the public eye, you have to be prepared to be judged. It comes with the territory!

@TM

1. On Drashti's interviews and her not using 'professional' words!

  • Your argument is totally flawed here going by your expectations of an interview
  • Her profession is 'Acting' ... the clients are not limited to top MNCs suited up honchos
  • What she does is interact in a way that puts others at ease - it helps reporters, it helps the audience to connect with her easily..
  • Does she use bad words? No. Does her as you call it 'over the top' attitude bugs others? No. Infact, very clearly she is loved by many... so exactly why should she go all Brit making her audience feel disconnected?
2. On Senti..
  • Heard of Colloquialism???
  • Also, like everything else vocabulary is also used as per the occasions - formal speech needs to be used in formal occasions

  • A purist- and any purist who is extremely learned in their field would hate to see any deviations. I agree.. but hey, that;s the way world is..
  • And, most importantly, if you have to judge someone's ability, better have the conversation with that person - with Drashti, do you know her personally? How much of her English have you heard? The few interviews I have seen, her pronunciation was just fine and so was the grammar...

  • Lastly, languages change!!!.. Whether you like it or not...nothing is self sufficient...else going by that logic, I am sure you don't appreciate Queen's English in the first place..😆.. and definitely detest American English...( @Anoshka - Australian ka gyaan tum de do) 😃
  • Try speaking in your 'formal' language full of heavy words next time you get an opportunity to hang out with people at a bar chatting for fun!!.. 😆😆

3. Over the top attitude
  • Let's go by your observation and say she does have this attitude..so what??????
  • A girl has her own attitude.. you don't like it..off you go in another direction..there are others who like it..
  • This world was never meant to be a place for robots - doing everything by the code book..😃...
  • Relax..on the language bit...one just needs to be appropriate in a given group and a given situation.. !!!.. Don't over analyze importance of things..you live and you die.. 🤣

Side note: Language is a tool to communicate - communication a process to express ourselves... so if someone has an alternative or better way to communicate with intended audience..why bang heads over unnecessary debate!!! 😆🤣

Again, senti is a slang word made up by Indians and only spoken by Indians. It sounds ridiculous and once again, I repeat, no one outside of India uses the word "senti". With that, I would like to conclude this discussion. My point has been made.
