I am not endorsing his methods but just trying to go by literal meaning. As for something to qualify to be an abuse, it has to be a regular pattern.

I know RK had left no stone unturned to make Madhu's life miserable but that was more of a challenge, with her fighting back..

I will look for the text we read on abuse and will try to post it.. Wikipedia is not a reliable professional source. I know we use these terms interchangeably but scientifically n legally, it's quite different. I know it sounds quite geeky😕

The only thing that stands out is that he doesn't apologize.. And that he used abandonment as a punishment, but again it should be a repetitive threat.

If there is a psychologist n psychiatrist here, they will know what I am implying and they will be able to explain it in better way.

OK... coming to RK... well if we forgets the revenge part want he doing is a kind of obsession or passion only... to be with her... to be loved by her... to be cared by her... and he is trying his best so that she don't go away from her.. at the same time he is showing caring nature too... the emotional torture is happening bcos of the revenge he did to her... I know its confusing.. well i can't explain more than this...😕

But I had always thought that the title of this show being "Mahdubala Ek Ishq Ek Junoon" That it was MB's Ishq which she has for R.K and it would be her "Junoon" to get over the betrayal and still have passion for living her life to the best of her ability.

The story as I had understood was always about MB and her life. R.K. has been a phase in her life to teach her that you can love somebody with all you have and when that pure love is rejected and the person you fell in love with turns out to be not what you thought then you have to find the "Junoon" to pick up the pieces and move on in life.

R.K. has shown a lot of anger and a mean spiritedness and conscious planning and plotting to destroy MB.

And he is paying the price now because when you plan to destroy someone it always destroys you in the end.

Many have seen this side of R.K. as his junoon for MB and assumed that it was for "Love" when actually he put all his junoon to destroy her .

Now since he has dug his own grave by his actions he now is using his junoon for trying to turn it around to suit his need.

If his passion for MB had been love the first thing he would see is the pain he caused her and the pain she still is feeling.But he sees none of that and as far as I know loving some body means you think of them first.

R.K. has reached a precipice of madness only when he realized that MB had another interest and that she had moved on.

I say this because after he left her at the chawl and then found her working at the studio he had not stopped to torment her further and stooped so low as to even use Dipali to torture MB.

He has made MB tell him over and over again that he is the only man in her life. There is no trust and without that there can be no love or junoon.

Junoon? Intense passion that goes to the heights of obsession. Junoon can be about anything. Talking specifically about junoon wala love, to me it's when one would go to any length for the happiness and well being of their beloved. It's not about dragging someone, forcing them to stay by your side and showing how much you love them by various gestures, rather it's about doing everything to make sure that your beloved gets what/whom THEY love and find happiness in. Yes, even if it means that the person they love/find happiness in is not you but someone else. Crossing all the barriers to protect your beloved from any hurt & suffering and doing all the (im)possible to make sure the person whom you love always has a smile on their face. THAT is junoon wala love to me.

Neither what SRK did in Darr nor what RK is doing with Madhu is junooni love to me. RK doesn't even love Madhu.

Honestly, I have no answer as to what EXACTLY junoon constitutes. As you aptly noted, everyone perceives things differently! Where is the line drawn? Well a very good question. We have seen in reality, situations where junoon has led to an obssessor not just killing himself but the person who they are obssessed with aswell, with the message being, if i cannot have you, no-one else can, and frighteningly enough, its a stage where RK and MB as characters have come to. RK refuses to give her happiness and yet he does not want to allow her to even enjoy a smile with a little child because he fears she is romancing the child's father. Though, I would argue presently, RK is more of a control freak who has found the weapon he requires to keep MB at his place than anything else. He wants to control her every move, including her body (am going by the handcuff promo) as well as the holi episode. I am sure if he sees MB touching Sultan again, he will probably go to the extreme of cutting off her hands. *imagine that*😆 AND since he always yap the *haq hai mera, this will not surprise me*

Ok, am all over the place with my rant, but I wanted to say in short is, I dont know what JUNOON is! But whether there is a fine line between emotional abuse and obssession is a question one will have to ponder upon as thats precisely what cvs are exploring upon. RK presents some traits of being obsessively *something* but he is yet to become fully evolve with that term, and am sure the day he does, wont be pleasant for the viewers nor MB😆

With respect to the show...i think in case of RK...its junoon coupled with his big fat ego...
as Nids put it...he is full of I, Me, myself...so his junoon generally means...
everything has to revolve around him...!!
