The title song of MBEIEJ proclaims that for RK being madhu's ishq is his junoon.So to be her one and only ishq,he is crossing sane boundaries which can have dire consequences.

Its very hard like others said here to find the exact meaning of junnon but i do believe its a combination of obsession and passion. Passion is something positive ,gives inspiration/motivation and brings out good emotions which is in control. But obsession brings out the negativity because we loose our emotional control which again leads to loss of self control and turns into a destructive force.

RK will fall under the category obsessive passion. Usually passions turns into obsession but here, i think CVs took the other route - first obsession and then passion :)

I think CVs want it to look like a dark passionate loves story but the last few episodes gave mixed signals to the audience😕. For some it was junnon and for some emotional abuse. Will not blame any of the side:)

A very good post indeed. I am myself not very sure about what I would class a Junoon as but it does come to the same line of extreme actions which has no boundaries be it of Love/Hate relationship. For me Junoon would be Mark Wahlberg character in the movie Fear (1996) where both characters loved each other at some point but in this show the love so far is claimed by Madhu' side only. As for RK's action currently, I m sorry but I would not class it entirely as junoon and would share the exact sentiments of it being more or less an emotional abuse. I did myself raise a topic on abuse but was shocked to see some responses. I bet RKs character is not himself sure if he either loves or hate Madhu as for now he only wants her beside him at any cost because of his EGO and I can't believe his whole world revolves around him and him only. His character has lost conscience and is way too unstable at this point. Though I can't deny his occasional act of heroism of saving Madhu from her own father but that doesn't make his character any less unstable at this point. So the way CVs selling it as entirely Junnon might be okay with majority but I beg to take it and would prefer not watching it too before someone gives it to me as an option.

Definition of junoon:The person slowly starts identifying whole-heartedly with the object of his obsession,starts losing his own identity and becomes one with him/her.

Death could be defined as Fanaa-Destruction of ego.or Kaivalya-Singularity or Advaita-Non dualism,all leading to the same climax

which means lover destroys his self identity,his aatman(Sense of I)

If someone contemplates on a woman and travels these stages,he will end up destroying himself,But he will not become one with the woman or her identity.

RK is on apath of self destruction.He will never connect with Madhu neither will she whole heartedly reciprocate his love and instead will end up destroying her.

This is the bestset explanation I have read till date.

Hmm difficult to define it An. From what I understand Junoon means an all consuming state of obsession for a particular thing or to achieve a particular goal. It can be positive if you are obsessed with achieving something for the greater good but IMO in RKs case his junoon is destructive not only for the object of his desire (Madhu) but also for him. In his junoon he is hurting the very person he is supposed to love. Plus add his super sized ego to the equation...only makes things worse!! Along with junoon IMO there is an element of emotional abuse too. I don't think it is intentional. He is really blinded by his obsession and has lost any sense of right or wrong. I feel the makers are taking a huge risk by showing the lead hero behave so extreme. I just hope they have the sense to not take it too far where the character becomes completely dark.

in Darr, its looks near to junoon for me, he never try to harm Kiran n abuse her the way RK is doing mentally, but who ever are cmg in between them he tried to hurt them. she got scared with it but he never try to make her scare if I am not wrong as seen movie long back n unable to watch that too, same with Anjaam srk movie. there also jonoor was more scary it was junoon or what I didn't know.

I never though negative side of junoon, it looking obsession not just junoon, junoon for or with pure love is always positive what I feel ,its purely my POV, but junoon with obsession may be always negative where you are unable to see pain of the person whom you clams you love, but in RK case its not only junoon negative or positive but it looking more ego n taking advantage of her weakness that she love her n winning feeling that you still love me so I am really confuse its junoon in love or just satisfy ego n unable to take defeat

full confusion about junoon now but whatever it is it is already gone too far from where Cv can't get back by showing MAdhu still love RK n want to be with him, whether it was darr or Agni shakshi heroine didn't go to that person as this kind of love n junoon is abusing her n giving more pain , girls scare with this kind of love n never feel free around this kind of person so if cvs are showing all this that means for MAdhu it will be more difficult or can say impossible to go back to RK n love him same way without getting scare n feel free the way she did before, its is difficult to accept for genuine viewer too.

may be Cvs will try to show that in his junoon he killed himself to proof his love or apne apko barbaad ker lega or something n that way it will be dark love story, don't know what is their plan ,what I felt junoon apni limit per pahuch jata hai to person khud ko harm pahuchata hai but here he is scaring madhu n blackmailing her n actually giving her more pain can say abusing than himself so how can I say it only junoon for his love not something else

It's not intentional because that is how the character acts and reacts because it's a normal thing for him to do? I also hope they don't take it too far with the manhandling and abuses as then , I'll have to quit watching despite my Pogo jodi 😊
