To me what I saw on Friday was not junoon but emotional abuse. But, there must be some reason why the writers are selling it as junoon and some in the forum also see it as junoon. Why?

It's said that any kind of abuser, and emotional abuse cannot be taken less seriously, shows his extreme sides. Both the loving one and the heinous one and the cycle continues. I was unable to take this description out of R.K while watching the episode, yesterday. It did unsettle me because I don't mind a show that shows the extreme but I prefer not to watch it.

Yes junoon is an aspect of this show but does R.K's behaviour can still come under junoon or they have made him cross the line for increasing the drama quotient.

I would like to know your definition of junoon. 😊

Agree with u that he is crossing his limits but definitely u shouldn't come to any conclusion after watching a single episode...the Saturday episode showed some different story.

if love can be defined, so can junoon but i can't define any of them..the terms are relative, they can't be generalized...as for emotional abuse , the one who is getting abused can only tell whether or not he/she is getting emotionally abused..

as for drawing parallels with Darr, Agnisakshi and Saubhagyavati bhav, something which is common in all these and missing from Madhubala is a "fearless" heroine who fights back tooth and nail for her dignity, for her self respect, for her happiness...Didn't she show it to him that he was the loser at the end of it ? at every point of the story, someone or the other comes up with "what will you do if you were in Madhu's place"..arre..if you were in Madhu's place , and after unwedding drama, will you come to the "abuser" and challenge him? find work in his workplace and dare him ? after knowing a person so well, won't you run away miles from him instead of getting into the dirty game once again? its a battle of wits and in Madhu's own words, she cannot back out bec. she has not learnt to lose !! Madhu ka ishq is RK's junoon and RK's ishq is Madhu's junoon..if it's abuse, they are abusing each other & emotionally manipulating each other..they have been doing it since the time they put their eyes on each other.

It's strictly my opinion: Love cannot be defined objectively. Yes, in the dictionary, there is a meaning for it. Definition: Nada. It all depends upon each person's own perspective about love. So, Junoon can be very subjective. Till yesterday, I did not give it a second thought as I saw it as a positive word but reading the views here makes me now believe, it has both the negative and the positive and it can make as well as destroy.

My perception of emotional abuse is based on what my friend, a victim of emotional abuse, told me, and the scenes shown recently gave me the same impression. As I said we may have different opinion based on where we are coming from.

Just a note here: It's a fictional tale and I know that. I am not at all questioning the character here but trying to know "why" what they are showing comes under junoon.

And since you brought Madhubala here: A strong character does not mean it gives the other person the license to act like a hunter and make it a game. The strength of one person should not be an excuse for the other person to behave inappropriately.

Bold: Can you elaborate, please.

As I said, abusers usually show both their loving and heinous side. One moment, they are all caring and loving as if no one loves you and cares for you more than them and the next moment, they switch off and just be the abusers. The bright moments are so less that you do doubt what they are trying to show.

P.S: They have every right to show what they want to show but I would prefer if they define what they are showing more clearly.

Bold Red: To hate someone again from the point of love is like taking a huge jump back and likewise, it's huge jump forward to love someone from the point of hate. That dialogue happened prior to the revenge drama and that for me was feel good line. Even after the revenge, she is unable to hate him because it does require a huge jump.

Physical abuse and emotional abuse both are same, never see them differently because the scars are not visible. Plus, once he was about to break a bottle on her head.

I am the last person that would question the fictional content and the writers' vision for this tale. I am just wondering why it's still called junoon when it looks like a case of emotional abuse.

Thank you for posting. If it's neither love nor junoon, why are the makers selling it as ishk and junoon?

junoon WW is intense craziness for something... so in a way what RK does is also junoon... though its abusive it can be categorised as junoon
