I know its annoying even my father and bro does the same but shouting getting angry is not any solution specailly when you know you can't do anything about it. When I miss anything I love to see. I see the repeat telecast or on net. Why to go fighting or getting unwanted tensions. And well I used to fear my father in early days as dad is really angry types just like me😉. But I guess I have too much of that dominating bone in me so now I rule the Tv session my home.😉😆

But at the same time. I never say anything if he wants to see anything like nowaday he loves to watch IPS and news are toh for ever. So, I just swap channels. Its just me I think. Everyone is different after all.

May be I won't dear because what we thing, what we are depends upon situation and circumstances. May be I haven't seen what you have like you said. So, may be I will never understand.
