On a serious note, emotional abuse has been recognized and termed as domestic violence. Abuse does not just constitute physical scars due to physically being beaten, it endorses a lot of other types of abuse too which accumulate in destroying a person both in the inside and on the outside. But like I said people on this forum constitute the types of abuse MB is enduring right now as a dark love affair so I highly doubt their intellectual brains have developed to acknowledged the real issues of life.🤔

@Bold: I completely agree. with regards to dark love affair may be I m too naive to understand it Jules as I honestly class RK's action as emotional abuse. for eg: Him humiliating her in Public and Private, putting her thoughts to least of his concern, destructive criticism and the list goes on and these are some sole reasons which would not let me acknowledge the so called dark love.

RK abused Madhu , I completely agree
But does anyone appreciate how far this man has come ?
This man had a tormented childhood, fame at a young age and constant emotional torture from family / first love
Of course he is "abusive" but does anyone acknowledge the fact that he could do so much worse ?
Did he consummate with madhu ?
Did he rape her ?
Today he forced her but why ? To prove to her how much he loves her
RK had the power to do much worse but no one appreciates that

I mean she knew that her own dad tried to kill her...she never ever saw her dad until all these years later and then again her dad tried to kill her...Even after all this, you don't see Madhu torturing and abusing others!...And you said he had emotional torture from his first love...Dips, right? Then isn't RK Madhu's first love and isn't he emotionally torturing her too with all this suicide natak?

And puh-liz!! You think he did this to prove he loves her? What a joke!! Has he even realized how much pain he has caused Madhu yet? No! Has he even realized that he loves (I personally don't think it's love but everyone else seems to...) her? No! He just sees her as his possession!! But does anyone appreciate how far this man has come ? I do appreciate him for some reasons but not everything.
This man had a tormented childhood, fame at a young age and constant emotional torture from family / first love : Yes I never denied the fact of his tormented childhood, his first love and everything. But always carring the Past baggage within yourself is not a good enough excuse for me to overlook what he has done to Madhu. And yes we all know that he had every chances to rebuilt his future and present. Madhu herself gave him the opportunity but his EGO never let him do that. So His past experiences would not make my heart melt when I see the consequences of his act on breaking the very dreams of Madhu: The very girl who infact sumbitted her heart to him letting bygones be bygones.
Of course he is "abusive" but does anyone acknowledge the fact that he could do so much worse ? Yes he is abusive and I restrain myself to think about how his character would be further butchered as I think its completely Black enough now.
Did he consummate with madhu ? No
Did he rape her ? I seriously never thought this topic would come here, I have never ever thought Rape to be an easy issue to just point it out. So, I again deny to answer it.
Today he forced her but why ? To prove to her how much he loves her : This Love as I have mentioned always is what I fail to understand. Without respect, Love is lost. Without Care, Love is boring. Without honesty, Love is unhappy and above all Without trust,Love is unstable. I myself have never seen Madhu having all those in Love, So I beg to differ that what RK did to her is out of Love.
RK had the power to do much worse but no one appreciates that: I have appreciated RK's character in the beginning but as I kept watching, I m sorry I could no longer relate to him. Yes, he could have done worse but thinking about it would never make him any SAINT to the things he had done in the past.

okay, i'll keep this short and simple: what RK did when he left Madhubala at the alter, that was abuse; what he's doing now isn't emotional, verbal, psychological, sexual, discriminatory or any other form of abuse. the most exigent difference being that this time she's the one who has all the power in the relationship. if she so chooses she can completely destroy this man with a few choice words, whereas anything that RK's done so far has bounced right off her. he's clearly the one suffering in the relationship.[/QUOTE]

@Bold Red: I beg to differ it again as I believe he is using Pressure tactics, isolating from friends and family, monitoring phone calls are indeed classed as emotional form of abuse.

@Blue: Power in relationship: Isn't relationship all about trusting each other, valuing feeling, caring and supporting. I do agree one is more powerful than other in certain relationship. But taking turns in having power in relationship, I honestly am confused if its a stronger one.

@Black: All I can say is what goes around comes around. Yes he is suffering but he still is not taking the chance to reflect that if he was wrong at the past. for RK one piece of advice: Sometimes you just need to let go of your EGO, its not called giving up but infact growing up.

Who does Madhu love ? RK.
Madhu had a tormented childhood but she had a mother who selflessly loved her and put in good values
She had a sister
In a real world where women are constantly giving chances to abusers who physically abuse them , victims of domestic violence are going back .. Why ? Sometimes fear other times ; love and hope.
Situations are alike both of them
But please understand RK lost a father at a young age and never interacted with his mother properly
As for madhu , madhu has been strong she is much stronger than RK
RK is weak and no one is denying that
RK broke her heart but did he go marry Trisha and live in the same house because she isn't successful enough ?
Madhu always had the people she loved except her father of course
Madhu is strong but she is human
And she loves RK , sure RK needs to work more to get her forgiveness
But madhu loves RK , that should be the only reason she forgives him
And madhu should appreciate how this man could do worse to her but didn't
RK is not a bad human being he is just messed up
But that's what people are , messed up
