So, I've been brooding a bit over the episode and thought I would write down my thoughts. Again.
I would like to think that this confession, which is all about Madhu proving to RK that she loves him above everything is less about Dips and more about RK himself. In other words, Diputz mainly stirred fears that were already there-perhaps not in RK's heart, but definately in Rishab Kundra's mind. So Madhu leaving with him is not RK proving to Diputz that someone loves him, despite what he says to her (i'm basing this on the fact that to understand RK one must look at his actions, not his words), but RK proving to himself that someone can love him despite his trappings. As to logic- I'm going with the theory that with someone like RK, for whom emotion is always an extreme, once those emotions are roused, then logic flies out the widow. I hate that fact that Diputz was used as the catalyst, but at the same time, am hoping that her function will now be decreased- she has served her purpose, and now CV's will use other people to act as obstacles.
As to RK knowing Madhu loves him- I think he always did, at some level. He was aware that she had feelings for and has taken action to prevent them from maturing. But the fact that she was going to let him kiss her, the fact that she did KC for him, and many other factors- yes, it was obvious that he knew. I don't think he loves her fully yet- he's possesive, he's obsessive, and he wants her to be his fully. But that's not love. Love requries trust. And RK does not trust Madhu. I don't think RK even trusts himself- if he did, he would not be instigated, now matter what. Love will come as trust grows. Until then, it's junoon- and junoon without love has dark and ugly connotations.
Edit: I should add here- RK trusts Madhubala. RK does not trust Madhubala's love. And RK does not trust that her love is pure. How is this logical? Well, my answer is simple: We are all fools in love.
One thing I found interesting-forget that he took up the challenge- he's RK, he could not not take it up- its about proving to himself that someone loves him, so yes, I can swallow it. What I found interesting was what he said: "I will not lose again."
That sentence makes one thing clear to me: When RK thinks that Madhu does not love him, has infact started to love the trappings of a superstar's life, he's not going to let go of her. He's going to make her love him, he's going to make himself Madhu's first priority. RK is going to make himself Madhu's god. My thinking for what he's going to do? Break her to make her. The sculpture and what one of promos said strikes me now: He builds Madhu's sculpture and colors it with his blood, and in the promo he tells her "This camera is now your world. Leave everything else. This is now your world." Madhu is RK's galatea, willing or unwilling. And RK will never let her go.
CV's bring it on, I just hope you do it well, but one request- for the love of Pete, stop using Dips. She's done her part and now should be part of the past. Keep her on my screen, but give other characters a chance to become obstacles.
