Yes i think looks r important too...but thats not mean it worth everythings...other things r also important...looks gives a perfectness to the personality..just like u add a little salt to ur food.

but i dont think u can judge one's personality from his/her looks...if she/he is good looking but dumb...it dont worth anything

I actually don't think DD is all that good looking (I know people will stone me for this) but she's a fantabulous actress. This is the first serial I've watched her in and I'm struck by how well she coordinates with the other(s) in the shot and how she conveys a lot through her eyes. She's just fabulous.

Third, is attitude. You have to literally walk the role. And I think both VD and Seema (the actress playing Deepali) do a terrific job with this. The way VD swings his arms and saunters across a room like he owns it - totally something a superstar does. Seema/Deepali's gait is fantastic too - she totally shouts "vamp" with her demeanor.

So, in my book, looks are not that important, although they sure help!

dont worry cause i agree with you as well. the attitude is something vd is a natural at and looks like so is seema :)

its not me who says it , its a lot of people around me.
Of course characterization is more important than the looks...there is no debate about that...it is really not a question of either or...It is an asset for someone to be goodlooking...why not give credit where credit is due and recognize that it is an asset...It is OK to appreciate beauty...nothing wrong with that...
i know , but i dont like it when an asset is over appreciated more than an earned credit , and thats exactly what people do regarding looks.
Yes...your previous user name rings a bell...good to talk to you again😊
it was nice talking to you too :)

interesting topic ! looks def. are important, the glamour industry is the best example..be it the fashion industry, bollywood or tellyland, good looks does help ..it also depends on the context in which we're analyzing a person...if we're looking for a life partner, we must try n look beyond the l ooks like how the person actually his, his family, nature, intellectual etc etc. ...bollywood and tellywood are industries who are selling their product ..they look for a complete "package" ..along with good looks they ask for a charming personality, basically X factor !! i believe many successful actors were successful bec. we liked their personal style ! of course they should do good movies n acting n whateva...but how they talk, how they walk , how they present themselves, like a role model !!

i never noticed VD in his earlier roles..pyar ki ek kahani right? (maanna padega Ekta kapoor has an eye for charming men and women..she's brought the best actors in tellyland) ..i noticed him only in MB, woh bhi recently...loved his style, whateva he does, the way he says his dialogues, he has tht RK image in my mind, i'll never watch EK's serial to know how he was...i'm watching DD since Dil mill gaye..then Geet of course...i liked her very much as Geet, more than Madhu...in tellyland, i think what we like more is the serial and their characters...of course when 2 good looking people get together, we like to see their chemistry on screen, we love to watch them...but not all the actors & jodis out there r that attractive but still they r successful...

a well balanced view :)

The only thing i will say u need both looks as well as acting. You need the x factor, the spark in your eyes. You should have a strong personality. You should have strong impression. Maybe you are less beautiful, but if u have x factor noone in this damn world can stop u. One example of 2 singers. you must know the famous rivaliry of Britneu spears and christina aguilera. Why britney always won, because she have d x factor, people can connect with her. Christina career is flop now, why ? because she was never likeable like britney and she lacked the x factor simple. In the end, who is liked by the GP matters the most. Gud looks or acting skills can't force people to like u
