sorry for such a random post ...and i know that people have anough nonsense in their lives and i am adding another pile to it through this idiotic rant , but it has just been iwthin me a long time , so thought , whatever the consequences . let me just have my say.lol. The title kind of is not like a criticism or accusation towards anyone. just a random thought. I remember when Vivian first appeared as RK , everybody first and for most took an outlet at how he looked and how suitably handsome he was for DD , but what I want to say is...does it really matter this much? I know looks seem to be the necessary component of the glamour world..but then why do people admire Rani , Vidya or Tabu some much more than these lifeless dolls like Deepika , katrina , priyanka? [with all due respect to each fandom.] Why is the hotness of RK in every post or in everything regarding him so highlighted? Similarly , with dd. Every single fan seems also try to make a point that she is the most beautiful woman in tellyworld ...but who cares if she is or isn't? Kya dd yaa vd ne apne looks hard work se , aa apne effort ya apne daam pe earn kiya hai? Nahi naa? it is something they have no credit for..toh is cheez ke liye itna highlight , hype , posts aur credit kyun dena? Same with the new entry..my kabir from chaal <3 , everybody is comparing him with vd regarding looks and in looks they have tough competition , as if that is a huge thing from making two people potentially damdaar or chemical in their co acting..so what i want to ask is very simple...why is looks so exaggerated in importance? Who cares whose features , eyes , nose , legs , back . hands are sculptured and beautiful? Why does that according to people make actors or other people appear more superior in their eyes...we don't know then . They entertain us as it is their job , and what their appearance is can be duplicated by any substance but what matters is acting and the capacity of it , and no i am not trying to lecture and i am really sorry if i am sounding like that...but all i want to ask is kyun? Why is looks given such immense importance over here? It suffocates me sometimes. Actually , make that most of the time . Sorry , again. And before people counter ask me that maybe i admire vd for his looks , lemme already say that the reason why i even decided to give this show a chance was cause i wanted to thank vd for giving me abhay , by watching his show.. thanks for bearing my stupid rant.

If you are asking are looks important then definitely answer is yes...actors have look test first and it depends which character suits which role according to their looks...an average lukin actor like mukund certainly wont be picked up as lead at a glance even if he has great acting skills bt if u have great looks n average acting skills u may be picked with expectations dt your acting will get improved with time n that happens also...even VD said that his mom now says that he has become actor that does mean she dint praise him much before so he was picked for the first show(which was sm ekta kapur show)for his looks only...but he improved with time... now i love him both for his acting n looks...coming to DD ..i have nt seen her first show so cant comment..i saw her first tym in geet n loved her for acting first than looks...bt ppl say she was improved as an actor in geet..n i still love her as madhubala more as an actress n beautiful human being...but only looks are not enough for an actor to become complete u need to have skills also.

i personally did not like mukund because his character had no spine. it was nothing related to Manish's looks at all for me...i fel the reason why he has the popularity he does and why he even got this show is because he made Abhay an icon..most of us are abhay fans , and he was not chosen because of looks...lets just he had sources that time..which is his personal matter.

I certainly will give more importance to acting than looks..but both matter n equally important more or less..

now coming to actress like katrina..i dun like her acting..bt love her dancing skills in items no.s😆..bt i wont love her as an actress...my fav.actress is Kajol cz i love her acting most bt later started loving her looks too...n i still dun see any actress who cn emote expresions lk her...now coming to Avinesh..he looks handsome...he has his own style n acting..n i cnt comment much abt his acting as i hav only seen him in one or two episode bt i found him pretty nice in acting..

i love kajol as well because of her joie de vivre and dignity that flaunts on her face.

I dun believe in comparisons too...each actor has their own flavour n depends frm person to person...nice post..😊

see the looks do not matter to me but the relationship between the ficitonal couple does. thats the only thing that matters to me actually..i dont think you remember me , but i used to comment on your sush posts in ipk forum..my username was austenrox then.lol.

BTW Vidya Balan, and Rani Mukharjee are good looking ...with loads of talent...(even though Vidya doesnt have the best of figures...which is a shortcoming)..

i am not talking about the personal view point..i made a general statement that the common crowd thinks , you know . Vidya is beautiful and i love her figure . its voluptuous , it illustrates the dignity and sensuousness of a woman ..but see general public says crap otherwise...rani as you know was branded as ugly by so many co actors before she gained her stand as one of the most power packed actresses...i never found her ugly personally.

When they have both it works great...When one or the other is missing they limp along...When they have loads of one...and an OKish stock of the other...they are reasonably succesful...with some dose of luck...
