THREE BEST ONES

OK on this wonderful occasion of the LNMDJ anniversary, I have something to ramble on too..😆 and this post is inspired and dedicated to a very ardent fan of PriDa/GauCha, 'Leaves'..miss you pal *hugs* and if you happen to read this..this one is for you..Especially the PriDa portions.

So I decided to write about 3 best scenes of each of the 3 wonderful Jodi's that we came to love through this show. After a little thinking, with regard to the nature of the scenes, the performance of the actors and the unique touch each scene had, I have come to a conclusion of the top 3. This is totally based on my opinion so I apologize beforehand if you feel anything I mention offends you and you are completely free to disagree on the selection.

Best Varun-Roshni Scenes

No.3 THE PANIC-ATTACK 😆

We always knew finding the prince of her dreams and the perfect wedding was the only thing that went through Roshni's mind pretty much 24hrs a day, so not being able to have the time to plan a wedding in Mauritius she ends up settling to do it in the mansion itself, what better place than home and close family to celebrate? But just as any bride would get cold feet the day before the wedding so does lovely Roshni and doesn't let Varun rest in peace lol..but here toh Roshni Madam is worried about Varun's extra marital affairs 🤣 and that people will start calling her Mrs.Saxena which is not cool and happening as Roshni and after they have kids she will be called chunnu ki mummy or munnu ki mummy 🤣 and that after pregnancies she will surely gain weight which will ultimately lead to Varun cheating on her, by God does Roshni have an over active imagination or what? 😆 and then how sweetly varun tells her no matter what he will always love her and she says I love you too...awwww now this is what you actually call cute! Their wedding itself had a lot of commotion and interruption but somehow they managed to wed before the shubh mahurat was over..Roshni certainly would never have waited for 5 years..lol. Loved everything about this scene because Roshni acted just as we would expect her to and Varun responded just like you expect him to. Even him saying that Rosh would look 'sexy' in a saree was adorable.

LOVED this scene of Varni in the hospital after Roshni was admitted due to the poison fiasco. Varun trying to cheer her up and help her recover...wanting her to get up and talk not be so quiet.. He brought her flowers and favourite chocolates and Everything he says to her, that he is no tall, dark and handsome prince that she dreamed of, but he is a guy who surely would love her the most whatever the circumstances be and that his love is true...he cried saying it all....it was such a sweet innocent thing..truly defined their love. You felt for him, you wanted to hug him. For Dishank's performance alone this scene deserves to be among their best ones.

No.1 THE RAIN DANCE 😉

Rain and two of the cutest lovebirds this definitely was the best Varni scene in the show!

Right from the moment Roshni being rosh is worried about her expensive shoes and pedicure 😆 and doesn't want to walk in the rain to how she begins to enjoy and savour the moment with Varun under one umbrella. Then her sudden realization of her wrong choice which totally surprises Varun, she did not apply waterproof make-up! 😆 😆. They don't seem to be able to catch an auto so Varun proposes the idea of a bus ride home...and Roshni exclaims in disbelief..princess of Gujral family travel in a bus?! 😆 Poor thing is worried that she looks like a horror movie vamp..hahahaha while Varun comes in and says the sweetest thing that she always looks beautiful..aww. Suddenly Varun sees Roshni dancing in the rain..yeh ladki bhi na keeps changing her mind every minute...lol. Varun even makes her have a taste of vada pav. Completely loved this scene, they were all smiles..first love blossoming, made u wish it was raining too so you could enjoy in the rain just as much as Varni were having fun.

No.3 THE BETRAYAL

Well this is the Savni moment that occurred during the PriDa wedding. Liked this scene a lot, it was quite a turning point in the story. Avni's pregnancy is brought to the notice of all thanks to that doctor. The guilt and shame she felt initially when she admits to being pregnant and then upon seeing the media take advantage to comment on Ela Gujral, she tries to stand up for her mom and herself and justify that her child is not najaayaz but very much legal because she is a married woman now. She believes that her man will support her now and announces that Sameer (Jai) is her husband. But the drastic twist that Sameer takes leaves everyone shocked, he not only says that he has not married her but that the child may be someone else's too. He uses her own words against her, and she is left feeling very vulnerable. Sameer was a complete jerk at this point in time..he had his reasons but he became completely cruel and indirectly he almost lost the respect of his brothers too. Avni was completely shattered, the incident left her mentally stressed..so much so that it drove her to attempt to kill herself. Loved this showdown between the Sameer and Avni, this was among the most bitter moments in their relationship. Karan and Perneet delivered a wonderful performance.

No.2 THE SEDUCTION

This scene was one of the very sensuous scenes of Savni...although it was not their Suhaag raat scene and though there was the deception angle to it, it was a good scene. Sameer at least heeded to the request of his wife, and did try to make her smile by gifting her with a nice mangalsutra. They did share their first kiss, I assume...and though he kept whispering all those sweet things with some other intention in mind..he probably dint realize that he had already started falling for her a little. Avni was slightly hesitant and her presence of mind at the moment when she realized what was happening, her thoughts about what her sister had told her...was a good surprise to the scene. It was quite nicely shot and Karan and Perneet did a very nice job in this one.

No.1 THE ICECREAM & CHAMP(A)

This was an absolutely lovely scene of Sameer and Avni. This was the real Sameer we all liked. He was no longer pretending to be Jai here. Avni was getting a full understanding of the guy who loves his kid a lot and is a very caring person after all. They were in a tough situation financially and it was very likely that a mother, Avni would be worried for the future of her baby, Sameer handled this very well, helped Avni realize and convinced her that all will indeed be well. And to lift up her spirits and cheer her up, he charms her by pretending to be a cute chef in his kitchen, and makes strawberries and cream. Nothing like it to be assured and comforted by the person who loves you immensely. Sameer showed he can be a caring and affectionate husband. Very sweet scene nicely acted by Perneet and Karan.

Also liked this particular short scene that was shown. Sameer being his nautanki and naughty self, skin show eh? 😉 and wondering if they have a boy or girl. Just like we always knew, this middle Saxena-Gujral couple was as adorable as always.

Best Prithvi and Damini Scenes

No.3 THE BEGINNING

This is where it all began, they exchanged looks, they exchanged words..yes I am talking of the first PriDa conversation at the stud farm.

If they faltered in this scene I would never have wanted to see more of them and in turn the maybe the show too. But Prithvi and Damini's first face-off was truly an amazing watch. The initial glances they stole at each other, slight admiration? The smirk on their faces, they were no doubt being judgmental about the other person and seemed to confirm their views of the other after a few exchange of words. He did not like women who were bossy; she never liked men who were full of themselves. Their worlds just collided and they would never have imagined what fate had in store for them. She throws a challenge to control the horse which he ends up winning after a roll in the hay 😉. This was one awesome encounter that showed neither of them would tone down their anger and resentment unless something drastically ends up changing their equation.

No.2 THE FIGHT

This scene made me so heartbroken and sad because I felt so much for both of them. Damini considered Prithvi her support, her rock the only one person in the whole world who she could cry in front of shed her tough exterior and show her vulnerable side. He was her Man. He stood by her through her tough times till her wedding. To see him behave so cold and indifferent to her feelings and her efforts to be a good wife, made her feel so depressed. She tried all that was in her power to make things work, but to receive absolutely no appreciation was very sad. On the other hand, driven by circumstances Prithvi had complicated matters; revenge and his feelings for Damini get mixed up, and he assumes, to stay away from her and be rude will be an easier way out to this situation. His heart cries when he sees her in that state, he realizes that he really loves this woman. The best emotional scene of PriDa, Chandana and Gaurav's acting skills were truly showcased in this scene, because romantic candy floss scenes can be done by all, but to deliver something like this which makes the viewer feel the pain that the protagonists go through is totally another thing.

No.1 THE PROPOSAL

The Best scene of PriDa has to be the proposal. For a variety of reasons, one them being that after watching this scene many of us including me were actually kind of looking forward to the wedding of PriDa which we were against initially. Another reason that the word 'Hmmm' took a totally new meaning, and made it sound hot! 😆 That is now a sort of PriDa copyright..lol. There were sparks flying all around that room, even though PriDa were not even facing each other and having a conversation. As all PriDa conversations, this was awkward and why not these 2 people were discussing their marriage. And right then they were interrupted with the news of Damini's mother's deteriorating health. The scene that followed where Damini lets down her guard and says she can't take it anymore, while Prithvi tries to comfort her by saying he will always be by her side if she lets him, the silent nod and the hug they shared said it all. They never said I love you to each other; they were probably not even sure if they loved each other, but they knew some things at least that they did have immense respect and cared for each other.

On a completely different note..Chandana looked stunning in that red outfit and so did Gaurav in Blue, they complimented each other superbly well in the dress department, and do I have to ramble more on how they complement each other in other ways? 😉

A special mention to the most lovable mom ever, Ila Gujral...she was the love guru in the union of these 3 couples. She held them together, and they fulfilled her last wish and kept her soul happy too. A round of applause for Sujathaji, for her amazing performance in the show and great chemistry with all the others too.
