JAI got a grip of himself and straightened up and then he said
"u know raj I have never talked abt this to anyone, at that time I was alone desperately alone,biji had gone and after a few days masi ma (I mean ur mother) she died too
We didn't know where were u
I was having very little money that masi ma gave me.
Doc said sona could be alright bt she needed mediciene course which would be expensive
I was small , I tried my best bt bt ,some charity sponsored her treatment after two yrs ,, bt by that time it was too late ,she is same ever since, I have enough money now ,bt there is no hope.
Doc says only a miracle can save her………
I was taken to orphanage
The same charity sponsored my studies ,I wanted to be an army officer

Naina nudged him in his ribs .he looked towards her nervouslyand then she said
Sir aap us din ki baat kar rahe hain jab jab aapko ,,hum samjhate the aapki us car accident mein
"death ho gayi hai…..raj completed the sentence 4 naina
Yup the same day

And thenthere was a siren
A firealarm
Smoke was filling in the basement
Everything was getting hazy
An then what raj knew next was falling at the impact of an explosion

THE PIOSEN

There were shrieks, screams, sounds of gasping and groaning,, heart hammering faster faster and faster raj rolled over his back,, bt b4 he could see anything he was being helped to stand on his feet by a pair of hands,, he thought it might b huda as huda was standing nearest to him b4 explosion. Bt he was wrong ,, standing b4 him was a medium and muscular figure with blood down his face, an unfamiliar face
Raj knew this one was someone wrong
And instinctively he shouted
"naina there's somebody here" ,bt he couldn't speak further as suddenly a wet kerchief was forced over his mouth, he struggled against it , he kicked and made full use of his limbs , he thought he had got that person ,he was right the person's grip loosened,,and he felt the man collapsing besides him
..bt raj felt his consiousness also failing perhaps there was an an aesthetic on the kerchief
His eyesight was becoming more foggy..
He could see blurred images ,of flames ,,of falling almirhas ,junk strewn here and there and flametongues who were trying there level best to lick as many people as possible to death,,,,,,,
A shadow was coming to him, grewing darker and darker
Bt the sounds were fading with his vision too . he was going to black out soon
Oh why he ought too faint so often these days!!!!!..
He moved forward towards the shadow,and got collided with his bunk bed side. There was an incredulous pain on his leg ,,he remembered there was a jug of water along his bedside table ,,
And he started searching feverishly 4 it
It wasn't easy ,he was growing hot ,,could feel the flames coming his way,, the shadow had stopped.Why he didn't knew..
He had to get out of here
And then he got his hands over something he needed too much right now
He poured water from the jug ,he had just located, over his head……his vision cleared somewhat and sounds grew louder…..
That shadow was of jai who was crouching below a table and coughing violently
Raj rushed towards him,, helped him to his feet ,, and said
"Jai lets get out of here"
They both slipped. Staggered ,fought and stumbled upto the backdoor,, where the fire has still not reached,,,,
They could still see people standing there
Huda,ud, abu supporting amin and aalekh and dr shalini and that was all
Raj knew sth was wrong
Naina was still inside those retching flames
Bt his vision was going foggier again
He felt more and more dizzy
Bt that wont help…
Huda and aalekh were trying to get inside again
Bt the flames were preventing them
Meanwhile raj found a tank nearby full of water
He dipped his face in it
His vision again cleared, sounds grew louder
And he heard shrieks ,screams of naina calling
"RAAAAAAAAAAJVEER"
He looked aroud and saw a rag
A long rag
He picked it up
He covered himself up in it and advanced towards the backdoor
Jai held him back
He was saying sth but all that didn't made any meaning to raj right now….
He bit jai's hand,who withdrew it quickly ,and b4 anyone of them could react ,, raj jumped in flames
Qieut 4getting the pain in his leg.
He rolled
Shielded his face from flames using his jacket and the rag
And Called out
'NAINAAAAAAAA'
And he heard a strangled call
"rajjjjjj"
And then a cough
These sounds were coming from his left side
He turned and rushed towards the source of the viose
And there he saw her fighting with those flames
Bt she won't be able cope up more
He rushed towards her
Caught hold of her arm…
And pulled her towards him
Her blackened face was ever so beautiful
He wrapped her in the rag more protectively then himself.
He groaned
He could feel a burning splinter in his elbow bt there was no time for it
He looked around 4 the door
Finally he located it
Both of them staggered towards it.
The door was not far
Bt still instead of becoming more clear it was becoming blurred and blurred
No no he can't pas out now
He gathered all his strength and reached 4 the door
He put his hand outside
Someone caught it
Who he didn't knew
They were out
Here the air was more fresh
He knew she was safe..
He freed her from the rag
And engulfed the air
Bt sounds were becoming lighter and lighter
He'll faint
He said to the person holding him
"water,,pls pour water over my face"
The person replied
"raj r u alright"
"Water"
Bt he knew water won't do the trick this time
And then
SPLASH crashed cool water over his face
His vision cleared ,bt was not the same as b4
It was still blurred
The person supporting him turned out 2 be jai
"raj what happened to u,, come come to that truck come on pls"
Raj looked around ,there was sth big standing there ofcourse
He limped along jai ,,they reached the truck
Raj climbed with great difficulty…
The pain in his leg had returned to its full measure
He stood in the truck along its wall
Then ud came to him , jai was standing there
bt where was naina??
"jai where's naina,??"
Jai==she fainted,, raj no don't react.. she's fine
Raj look at ur state.
"I am fine . where r we going anyway??
Where this truck came from??

Jai said sth in answere bt he couldn't listen
Sounds were again turning off
His eyes were closing,,head was swimming and he was abt to fall when he was caught hold by aalekh and jai
"sir sir sir wake up,,,, jai sir mein ek baat kahun,,, lagta hai truck inka most hated vehical hai,, jab bhi truck mein sawar hote hain,,behosh ho jate hain" aalekh exclaimed exaperetedly
Bt he didn't knew what had happened to raj
Raj's breathing was slowing down,,
Shalini came towards raj
"naina's fine she'll come around soon ..fainted because of smoke,, lucky he saved her..
she touched raj's forehead. There was cold sweat there
Shalini checked his pulse
And and then horror filled her eyes,
His pulse was slowing down
Bt Why,??
Jai==what happened shalini??
Shalini==jai he is not fine take us to hospital.. his pulse is weakening..
Jai==what?? Bt why I mean he is fine right…
Shalini== no he is not
Jai gestured the driver to take them to nearest hospital as fast as possible,,
And then they stopped b4 a shabby looking hospital
Allekh and jai made raj cume down shalini followed then jai said
"aba aap upar rahiye .. allekh u go with them I'll bring raj
There is no time to argue ,,….no allekh listen take them to …take them to my orphanage
Ya that'll be safe,its name is swaraj,, and is located in chandini chawnk
I'll bring raj there
He'll be fine… go just go plss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jai and shalini took raj inside
jai waited outside with his hands folded
"god pls let him be fine",,,,
after an hr or two came out shalini
"jai"
Jai raised from his trance
Shalini was looking simply terrified
Jai=="there is nothing wrong with him pls say say he is fine"
Shalini==(tears forming in her eyes)
Jai he he'll be fine ..bt u must know sth …
He was piosened jai!!
Jai just stared at her totally stunned
Jai==(finally finding his viose)
"what,,bt how could he be,me and raj ate the lunch together, if there would have been something in the food it should have affected me too,, and raj didn't have anything after that because he was being a prat,, "
Shalini=="he was not eating because he was unhappy abt not being of any help to u people in in this stuff"
Jai==all the same ,,he was being a prat..and now he should be happy .he very well got wrapped in this stuff.
Shalini==jai this piosen whatever it was was given to raj just a few mimutes b4 or during the fire breakout at the base
Jai==what??????????
Shalini==its strange I agree ,,bt I think only raj can answeree r questions now……..jai…..i i
Jai==what ? (he sits down on the bench exhausted)
Shalini==jai I ,,these people r trying their level best to do him in
Bt why??
Because of the missing papers of the red box..
Jai==that's exactly what raj ttold us.he said only three people knew the full contents of the redbox documents
Naveen,, col shakti Chandra,, and raj..the first two r dead so ,,this leaves only him ……
Shalini==I I think there is more stuff to it
If the red box stuff would have been that important then why didn't raj tells anyone abt what was in it,, without knowing abt the contents how r we to investigate??
Jai==what do u mean to say??
Shalini==there is sumthing sumthing strange,, sumthing unexplainable u know I mean how do raj come to know that lala was the one who killed his parents??
And in the train when he returned to india ,why didn't anyone notice firing sounds or 6 bodies being thrown in satluj??
We need to talk to him
There r parts of this that r still not clearr..
Jai==I guess u r right, when can I take him with me
Shalini== I don't think so he'll come around uptil hrs
Jai==he is safe though
Shalini==no he is not
Jai==bt bt u said ,he will b fine
Shalini==yup he'll b fine,, I just meant these attacks ,,??there had been two attacks on him in the last three hrs jai..
There is sumthing we r overlooking..i have a hitch that we have missed sumthing out there
(silence a long silence prevails b/w them)
Jai==I better get going , I had phoned the firebrigade ,,I must return to base,and should notify the ministry
U tell huda and ud that he's fine , then ask them to report to base,,and ask naina to rest ,she had many burn injuries
Bt thank god they were minor….
And and tell me when r rajveer- the prat comes around.
Shalini==why r u so angry with him??
Jai==I I no nothing bye!!
