RAJ's head was hurting,, he was feeling restless,he opened his eyes up,,and stared at the ceiling then looked around,, he was in a hospital room,and shalini was sitting on the sofa reading a magazine……
Raj looked towards her
Shalini==so finally aapko hosh aa gaya
Raj==where r the others??(shalini was checking his pulse)
Shalini==ah naina is fine,I think we told u that in the truck too
Raj==?(flushing deeply) I mean rest of them I didn't only refer to naina,how's abu and amin and aalekh and
Shalini==everyone's fine ,now if u don't mind will u pls stay quiet while I complete ur examination
Raj==how long was I asleep
Shalini==I think I asked u to be quite 4 few minutes mr chatterbox
Raj flushed again and didn't speak anything else
Then after abt five minutes shalini broke the silence
"raj what happened during the fire with u??"
Raj==what
Shalini==I mean?(bt she stopped she thought it was better if raj answered this question in front of everyone) …nothing, I'll call jai now he was anxious abt u and angry too..
Raj==why was he angry??
shalini==I don't know abt that..i'll call him up,, then he can take u to umm to others,, and then I can return to the base..
raj==ok.bt tell me
(bt shalini had already gone out of the room)

Jai had returned after two hrs in the evening to the hospital,,he looked quiet exhausted,,and was unusually quiet
Raj remembered shalini telling him that jai was angry with him..he wanted to ask bt b4 he could say anything jai gestured him to follow him
rAj got out of the bed with difficulty,,jai didn't even came 4ward to help him,,he limped after jai
"what was the matter with him??" raj thought.
Then they came out of the hospital
Jai==sit in the jeep if u don't have any problem!!
Raj==(while sitting in the jeep) whats the matter with u??what have I done??
Jai==nothing ,tum to kuch galat kar hi nahin sakte,to kya hua agar tum kabhi kisi ki sunte nahin ho,,capt rajveer kabhi galat ho sakte hain kya??(and he turned the steering wheel with such a force and expression that sugeested very clearly that the steering wheel had done him a great personnel wrong)
Raj==hey hey hey hey what r u doing.will u pls tell me whats the matter with u??
Jai==no(he answered sarcastically)
And then jai didn't speak..
They reached a tall building after abt 20 minutes
The building was
SWARAJ ORPHANAGE
Raj==is this where
Jai== this is my orphanage.now pls follow me,
and he started walking in front,, raj limped besides him,,they have to climb the stairs,, this was proving to be difficult 4 raj because of his leg ,, bt he didn't ask jai 4 his help.
He winced. Jai stopped in front returned to him and then helped him to climb up the stairs.and said
"incidentily capt rajveer ko jab help ki zarurat hoti hai to vo kisi se help thode hi mang sakte hain,,
Koi unki madad karne mein kabhi inttersted to hota nahin hai"
Raj just stared at jai quiet perplexed.

They climbed up and up
Raj==how long we have to go
Jai== this is the last staircase
(raj noticed that their was much tenderness in his viose this time)may b jai was feelin sory 4 his behaviour towards raj
They reached the end of the staircase
There was a wooden door ,,
Jai knocked at it
An elderly women opened it,,and they entered a big hall
Small children were playing there,, raj was wondering what they were doing here.. the elderly women took them to end of the hall ,, there was another door ,,bt u won't have been able to distinguish it from the walls..
So raj was quiet surprised when the lady opened the door
And led them inside another room with walls covered with paintings of nursery rhymes. And having 4 poster beds and two sofas,, bt raj didn't have enough time to register other features of the room,as a girl suddenly came and hugged him,,
She was a slim girl ,who should have only been of abt 14- 15 years,
She was smiling at him when she released him,
Raj stood there quiete perplexed and then he looked towards jai,, who himself was looking towards the girl in full surprise.
Raj looked sideways,, saw amin asleep in one of the beds ,abu and aalekh and naina standing a few paces from him
If raj hoped to get some explanation from these people then he was fairly dissapionted, as all of them like him looked quiete surprised
Then raj looked back at the girl ,,who was smillimg at him,,
She was holding a toy ,,a stuff toy in her hand which raj recoganised instantly,,it was his teddybear that his bauji has given him on his tenth birthday,, more prisicely on the day when his bauji had died,,,
The teddybear was half burned ,,the girl held the teddybear b4 him,,raj took it from her hands,, and then looked at jai ,who had tear filled eyes,,
Then the girl spoke,,in an unnaturally soft viose,,
"raju b mele ko pata tha aap aaoge, meine aapka teddybear sambhal k rakha ,mujhe thanku bhi nahin kahoge"
Raj just stared towards her,,unable to speak any thing and then he muttered "thanks thanks sona" and looked towards jai who still stood their petrified ..
tHen naina came 4 ward..
Her hand was covered in bandages ,and she was limping too..
Naina==very good sona chalo ab tumne promise kiya tha,, chalo lets go to sleep ,,chalo apna promise pura nahin karogi??
Sona==ok chalo (then she turned towards raj and said)
Mein jab sleep se uthungi tab hum bauji k paas jayenge ,,ok raju b, gunny to mele ko kabhi unke paas nahin leke jaata"
Then she went with naina,,
Naina made her lie in the bed and gave her her blanket .and then she returned too raj,, who was still standing on the door..
Jai finally llittle bit more normal helped raj to a bed.. and went to sit on the sofa,,jai buried his hands in his head..
Raj thought jai was sobbing,,
Raj staggered towards him and sat besides him.
He put a hand over his shoulder
Raj==jai,,how she recoganized me I mean we last met when she was of two yrs and I of ten yrs..
Jai didn't answere nor did he looked up
Raj rubbed his back
Jai hugged raj and sobbed over his shoulder,
Raj==hey its ok !!
U should b happy abt this ,,
Jai== (finally controlling himself) ,, ya I am happy I am happy a lot

Meanwhile raj and jai glared at each other
Amin==beta inki ladai ka karan mein batati hun
Jai and raj both looked towards her quiet surprised
Naina==amin aap kab jagi
Amin==haan actually yahan itni shanti thi ,mein to kai dino tak soyi rehti
Both jai and raj looked embaraced
Amin==jai raj se isliye gusa hai kyunki raj jai ki baat nahin manta
Raj==what bt ab meine kaunsi baat nahin mani,,ya I was bit upset abt not being able to help u people bt I never actually was adamant abt that
Amin==uske baare mein to baat nahin kar rahe hum
Naina==haan sir ,lekin sir aap russe huye bade sweet lag rahe the
(naina suddenly realizes what she has just said..she looked towards raj who was clearly embarrased and othere were grinning)
She gets up saying
"mein pani pike aayi"
Raj stares after her,,bt comes out of his trance when allekh clicks his fingers b4 raj's face
"sir vo gayi"
Raj had gone a shade of deep pink
Amin speaks again after reluctantly hiding her smile
Amin==yes to han jai tumse isliye naraz hai kyunki us almira vale hadse k baad jab usne tumse kaha k humne abhi base ko chod dena chahiye to tumne uski baat nahin mani,,par apni story sunnane lag gaye,,
Jai==aa aap ko kaise pata
Amin==experiench
Alekh==amin experiench nahin experience
Amin==haan haan vahi,, tu to baat aise karta hai jaise tujhe badi angrazy aati ho
Raj looks towards jai,who was looking towards other side,,
Raj=="umm umm well tumhara gussa jaiz hai,,, I am sory
(naina returns and sits on the last bunk bed quite away from raj )
Jai still does not speak
Raj==I am sory ,,pls look here ,ok I promise aaj k baad mein vahi karunga jo tum kahoge,,mein zyada bhag dor nahin karunga ,or jaldi se theek ho jaunga,Ok!!.. oh pls common now
Jai==(looks towards raj and gives a lil smile)
Allekh==are are aise kaam nahin chalega, apun ko to jadu ki jhapi dekhni hai,aur rajveer sir kya pata ,,aap jai sir ko jadu ki jhapi dete huye naina ko aur bhi zyaada sweet lagein.

Jai and abu and amin and allekh all laughed aloud at this and both raj and naina had gone a clear shade of marroon now
Then after jai and raj exchanged their jhappi
Jai asked==raj tell me now how u recoganised sona
Raj==it was the teddybear
Jai understud at once and didn'tt force raj to say more
Bt allekh ko kuch samajh nahin aaya tha,he gave a quizical look to raj
Raj== actully jis din bauji ki death huyi thi us din mera birthday tha,bauji ne mujhe yeh teddybear diya tha,mein bahar apna teddybear hi sabko dikhanne gaya tha,, usi time ghar mein vo aag ,,,(he couldn't speak further)
Allekh was feeling sory on asking raj abt it
Bt jai continued it 4 raj
Jai=="jab humne sona ko humare ghar se bahar nikala to vo bahut ro rahi thi ,,raj ne use chup karvanne k liye usko yeh teddybear de diya tha,,teddybear thoda jal chuka tha,,lekin sona teddybear lekar chup ho gayi ,,tab se yeh tedybear sona k paas hai,,when lala took raj away he came to meet sona and said to her ,k vo teddybear uske bauji ne use diya hai,aur sona usko sambhal kar rakhe.
Raj sona ne vo teddybear hummeshan apne paas hi rakha hai after that and u know what! aaj pehli baar usne itni achichi tarhan kisi se baat ki varna normally to vo sirf gestures aur do teen words hi use karti hai,,
Raj smiled to him
Aalekh==sir huda ud aur shalini mam kab tak aayenge??
Jai=="at night,and huda ud won't be coming only shalini will come..and raj I want to talk to u abt this u know what made u faint after the fire

ALI and puja were both sitting in the drawing room of their house
Aparently quiet puzzled at something ,,from the past 4 days since the day when rajveer sir as called from pakistan to say that he would be returning to india ,something strange has been happening with both of them ,they got photographs of a little child first from their bathroom ,then from their drawing room then under one OF the milk bottles,then in kitchen and last but not the least from their post mails and emails too..
They had just received a phone call from huda this morning.
Huda had told them abt the previous night events which comprised of two attacks on rajveer sir in a span of abt 3 hrs, burning of the millitary base,, fledding away of the terrorists who were captured at the railway station and raj's story abt his past ,,
Puja==ali tujhe nahin lagta kuch ajjeb ho raha hai ,I mean their r so many unexplainable things ,mera mobile to in sari mysteries ka signal catch hi nahin kar pa raha hai,,lagta hai jaise koi aisa sms hai jise hum logon ne bina pade hi delete kar diya hai
Ali==puja humne bhi lag raha hai jaise koi to aisi baat hai jo hum samajh nahin paa rahe
…..puja rajveer sir ki jaan ko khatra hai,lekin lala unko marvane k liye itna utsuk kyun hai,,,I mean ok !!rajveer sir uske baare mein bahut kuch jaante hain bt still is vaqt sir na to unke khilaf koi gavahi de sakte hain nahi sir k paas unke khilaf koi sabut hai,,phir lala unko marne k liye itne zyada chances kyun le raha he,,,

Rajveer was currently sitting on his bunk bed and sona was sitting on the chatayi listening very attentively to him.
Raj==samajh gayi sona,,aeroplanes aise bannate hain ,aur phir jab planes ban jate hain to unko air officers ko gift kar dete hain
Sona==raju b airoplanes ko giftwrap karne k liye itna bada paper vo kahan se late hain
Raju==vo planes ko gift wrap kyun karenge???
Sona== le hune tan tusi keha k aroplanes ko pilots ko gift karte hain to gift wrap k bina gift thodi karenge..
Allekh==(comes and sits besides sona on the chatayi) haan sir ab batayiye ,,dekha sona kitni intelligent hai ,lekin yeh tang bhi bahut karti hai ,isne subha se kuch nahin khaya hai ,,
Sona==tan ki hun kha leni haan,,naina ji apple do pls
Naina smiles towards her and brings an apple and sits besides her
Raj look towards jai..who was having an ecstatic expression over his face,jai stood up and came to sit besides him.
Jai==(watching sona nibble her apple) thanks raj ,sona ,,u noticed she spoke punjabi,, jab mein iske saath hota tha tab mein normally punjabi mein hi bat karta tha,,raj she'll be fine I mean sona ne kabhi kisi se kisi se zyaada baat nahin ki bt tumse,,this is a miracle..
Raj==meine kaha tha na lala ji ne jo jo bigada hai vo hum theek karenge,, jai tum sona ko hospital se kyun laye
Jai(hesitates bt then says)==jis din base par aag lagi thi usdin mein dupeher ko hospital gaya tha sona se milne ,,and u know what, meine hospital k bahar kuch ajeeb logon ko dekha,, lala meri behen k baare mein to jaanta hi hai,,,mujhe yeh theek nahin laga is liye to be on safer side mein sona ko apne saath hi le aaya
Raj==tumne achacha kiya jai


It had been two days since raj had arrived at the ashram,,jai and huda ,ud had beeen to buzy bcoz of the fire on the base,, no one knew how the fire started, a charred body was found ,,bt gunny had not told raj abt that,he thought this would upset him so he kept it quiet ,,bt they were under quiet stress two buildings of the base had been completely destroyed ,,files related to information on varrious attacks being planned by terrorists and intelligence reports have been charrred,,media was just making matters worse 4 them ,,the last two days had been quiet exhaustive 4 jai,,naina wanted to help them to bt jai insisted that she remained in the ashram ,,he wanted her to study case of rajveer so that it could be reopened and raj could be given a clean chit..jai had come to visit them after two days..he had given raj a new mobile today with bsnl connection ,and the first thing that raj did was to get naina's no ..
Everyone else sniggered in their teas when raj tried to catch naina's eye,,,, ,when raj realized that his futile attempts of catchimg naina's eyes were presenting a splendid show for others he stopped immediately,,
clicking of the doorknob at once alerted them bt they heaved a sigh of relief as they saw huda and ud entring the room,
Huda==oh hello hello,,aj tan mari band baj gayi ,vo kanjus tau aaya tha,,itna lecture to usne kabhi kma mein nahin sunaya jitna aaj ek din mein suna diya
Raj==aaj bc aaye the,wow kaise hain vo
Jai==ek dum fit n fine capt,,achacha ud kya kaha unhone tumse
Ud==he was ,,ummm I think talking abt some irresponsibility ,tacky behaviour and sumthing sumthing and something sumthing
Naina==(said in perfect resemblance with lolitta mam ,that made everyone stare at her)

Ud==(laughing)naina actually kya hai na huda ne mujhe bc ka lecture sunn ne nahi diya,,khidki k bahar kisi ladki par phul phenkh kar us par line mar raha tha,,
Huda==oh udiye ismein tu kahan se pareshan ho gaya,,ab tau ki baat sunta to vahan khada khada hi so jata ,atleast mera timpass to ho raha tha
Ud==dude ,mujhe yeh pareshani huyi ki mein tumhari harkatein bc se chupa raha tha tumhare aur tumharre phulon k gumle k aage khada hokar!!!
Huda==oh ya ya I remember ,,thanks ud!!
Raj==(shaking his head) impossible people!!
Jai==raj ab hum us baat ko khatam karein jo do din pehle adhuri reh gayi thi…
Raj very well remembered two days back jai has told him that he was piosoned and raj has spend the two days thinking over it.. jai has received a cal almost at the same time following which he had to depart .raj has talked abt this to naina ofcourse bt now he needed to tell the others abt it too.
So he told them all abt what had happened to him during the fire breakout ,,,
Everyone was really shocked !!
Jai==even after being given piosen u still had the guts to jump in flames to get to naina..
What kind of person r u??
Ud==macho- man!!
Huda==oye naa na superman!!
Aalekh==a brave person!!
Raj==no!!!! a donkey ,that's what I am

Raj==ya if I had been a lil sensible then we would not have been nearly barbecued in the fire…I was..
(bt he stopped here, he didn't want to tell others what exactly he was thinking,, as they won't agree to it..raj will have to make his leg go back to normal and then he'll go from here,,this ashram, he'll remain underground ,4 sometime,, all other people's lives were in danger just bcoz of him,and naina ,,naina nearly died in the last attack that was meant 4 him ,he can't let this happen again)
Jai==raj..raj r u listening ..what r u talking abt??
Raj==umm nothing,, listen jai I'll complete my story from where it was left and I'll tell u everything everything abt him,, and then then we'll not see each other again ,,4 few days

FLASHBACK:-
RAJ was being pushed around as if he was a rag doll,,bt he could not feel more pain ,he thought grimly
as his injuries had already been so many that no one could have given him any more pain…
He blinked blood out from his eyes,,,to clear his visions,,he could feel his hands were tied behind his back and he was being kicked and pushed by two or three men ,,if if only raj had a lil more energy he could have overpowered those croonies,,bt all his strength was currently being used in staying consious and morever in staying alive,,he stil had the thought of naina to occupy him ,,there last hug and final acceptence of luv 4 each other was giving him the strength he so badly needed,,
And then then there were his cadets
On whom he had full faith ,he knew all of them won't rest untill they have prooven raj and naveen were never traitors…..
He blinked his eyes again
Raj felt himself slam flat into the ground; his face was pressed into grass; the smell of it filled
his nostrils. He had closed his eyes,,he was clutching sumthing in his hand ,what he didn't knew, bt he clenched it tightly all the same!!!!
He did not move. All the breath seemed to have been knocked out of him; his head was
swimming so badly he felt as though the ground beneath him were swaying like the deck of a
ship. To hold himself steady, he tightened his grip on something,,may be it was a rope…

He felt as though he would slide
away into the blackness gathering at the edges of his brain if he let go of the two things he was holding ,, the rope and the locket..
ya the thing in his other hand was a locket a golden locket bt he coundn't recollect any memory related to it ,,everything seemed to b hazy,.
vioses were growing over his head….
Raj suddenly realized that his hands were no longer tied behind his back,, so the rope he was holding was the one with which he was tied..

Shock and exhaustion kept him on the ground, breathing in the smell of the grass, waiting... waiting for
someone to do something... something to happen...
A torrent of sound deafened and confused him; there were voices everywhere, footsteps,
He remained where he was, his face screwed up against the noise, as though it were a
nightmare that would pass...
Then a pair of hands seized him roughly and turned him over.
"raj to tum aa gaye"
Nothing bt the shock of hearing this viose could have given him the strength to open his eyes and look hopefully into the eyes of the person kneeling next to him,,
Lalaji was there ,,how he did not know,, may b he came to know abt attack on raj and he was successful in finding him,,all he knew was that he was saved,,
He couldn't thank god more he tried to smile as he looked towards lala ji ,bt sth of lalaji's expression made hi m realize that sth was horribly wrong ,,
Lala ji crashed cool water from a tumbler over his face in a crel sort of a way,,he was smilling, bt it looked evil…
Raj was heaved on a chair by a pair of hands,,he lookked over his sorroundings ,he was in a garden ,backyard of somone's house.. he saw a mango tree, nearby which looked more familiar,hadn't he once broken his leg on an attempt to climb it,,he was in lala ji's garden in his house ,,bt what was he doing there,,raj tried with all his might to ignore the panicking thoughts,,
And then lala ji spoke
Lala==kyun raj haraan ho rahe ho apne aap ko yahan pakar?? Hum tumhare sath aisa kabhi nahin karna chahate the ,par tumne hummein majbur kiya, kyun kyun tum sirf apne kaam se matlab nahin rakh sakte raj,,tumhari vajha se humara itna nuksan ho chuka tha,aur nuksan hum kaise utha sakte the???
Isiliye humein tum hein ek traitor sabit karna pada. Tum bhi bilkul apne pita ki tarhan pagal nikle raj ,use bhi khud ka bhalla bura kabhi dikhayi nahin diya,kuch dikhta tha to dusron ki bhalayi,, idiot fellow,isiliye humein use marvana pada,,
Humne socha k tumko yeh sachayi pata honi chahiye,ab jab tum, bhi apne bauji k paas janne vale.
Raj was too shopcked to answere ,
All his insides seemed to turn Into lead
this had to b a bad joke a very very bad joke…
Lalaji==kya soch rahe ho,,thinking this cannot happen, ignoring that it could have happened ,,poor bloke u r raj
Yes I killed ur father and took u away from ur masi when she neede u the most………

(he seemed to be struggling up against this information more then to his injuries, his insides were no longer seeming to be made of lead ,he felt he didn't have any insides at all ,a grief ,a heavy grief weighed on his chest)
Lalaji==yes raj yes,I did it
u know initially though I hated u bt I started loving u par tumko to pyaar se zyaada deshbhakti pyari hai nahin??
Kher hum tumhare pita hone ka farz zarror nibhayenge,
Tum maroge ya jiyoge yeh to tumhari kismat deside karegi bt hum tum ko ek moka aur dete hain raj!!
Raj's head was hurting him more badly then ever ,,he wanted to die die at that very moment,, to go away from all this treachery and evil and pains,it would have been so eazy,
He cought some more of lala's words like "pakistan" "pow" "traitor"
And then the sentence=="give me that locket"
The next thing he knew was that he was found himself in a cell of aa jail in pakistan,
PRESENT:-
Tears filled raj's eyes as he remembered these gory details,,
He looked up,, everyone was quiet,, raj continued
==the locket ,, I have so many times tried to find out sth abt it bt I was unsucessfull,I just can't remember how it came to me, and what was it whose was it,,,
And now I want to say sth else
Hum mein se koi lala ji k sath mila hua hai, usi ne mere yahaan hone ki khabar lala ko di hai,,yeh dono attacks bhi usi ki meherbani se hain
What I want to say is ,,hum sab sath rahenge,,mein kisi par shak nahin karunga,,baki agar vo traitor chahata hai to bas mujhe ek baar aakar kehde ,mein apne aap ko khud hi mar lunga!!
Naina==sir yeh aap kya keh rahe hain
Raj==sahi keh raha hun, koi aur explanation nahin hai in events ki,lekin mein ek aur dhoka ab bardaash nahin kar sakta,, laala ji ki sachayi ne mujhe sabse zyaada takleef pahunchayi hai,
Hum log sath rahenge ,har baat share karenge,
Ab us double agent ko khud decide karna hai k uski loyalties kiske sath lie karti hai,apni bharat ma ki taraf ,ya lala ji jaise namakharamon ki taraf
Agar usne dusra option select kiya to use yeh samjhana hoga k vo apni bharat maan k sinne par ek aur chot de raha hai!!!
(raj got up and moved to the last bed ,without looking at any one else..)
