Hi Hammie, as ever thank you for the updates. Hope you're well. :)
Kala: If her outburst at Baji and Naku does anything, then it clearly voices her desperation. Like sand between her fingers, she can sense she is losing out-big time. It's as though she smelt the the scent of power, she saw it linger before he face, yet when she went to grab it with both hands, poof, he disappeared.
power hungry .. dutta ke wealth nehin.. itspower she hankered for.and where should it go? Aaah but to Vahiniji (More on that later)
Back to Kala, I liked the way she interrogated Baji (and Naku) but mostly her words were towards Baji, even if her venom was targeted towards Naku. They way she listed the family members names and asked whether he would be content with the policy interrogating them all. It was classic. Especially when she practically bitterly spat out the last name ; "Vahini." If looks could kill ey? Kudos Aashka, you never fail to be on the receiving end of my👏. (side note: My mum is that type of viewer, who doesn't watch silently, she passes comments left right and centre and even then they are usually one liners, that leave you holding the side of your stomach in stitches. That's also probably why she doesn't go to the cinema, she'd be thrown out five minutes into the movie for causing disturbance!) So the power shifts, it was within hands reach for Kala, but look, a twist of fate and it settles itself rather comfortably with Naku. That has really got to sting ey Kala? I always talk about Kala's desperation but during these episodes we got to see Suds, wetting his pants too. (well more than usual anyway) Whereas Kala has the smarts as well as the evil. Suds only has the evil. Which unfortunately for him means that while he likes to describe himself as kala's knight, or horse or castle or even bishop he is nothing more than a mere pawn in her chess game. If he really doesn't buck up soon, I can see him meeting the same end as Suresh.
he is pathetic.. if she has a weak link it has to be suds.. And the Lion returns. As much as they tried to create suspense (I'm assuming because at this point it was unlike in which capacity Dutta would return ie as MR or someone else) but it was clear that Dutta couldn't die. Not yet anyway. Not when he has a lot of scores to settle. The universe doesn't normally settle every score (it should but it doesn't) but this time Dutta is granted the opportunity. Let's hope he makes the most of his second chance. great lines naila ..
The way Naku dealt with 'her people' speaks volumes about how she and only she could have been the rightful Mrs Dutta Patil. From the onset, right from 'find Dutta a wife' days, it was clear that Dutta needed a woman who would understand the life he leads. She needed to know that his so called business is not 'black or white' yet Dutta albeit he is a gangster (ergo not the ideal groom to be) he is somewhat more complicated that merely labelling him as a gangster. He is above the law. He is the self proclaimed king of a small village. He is in many respects for some a saviour. No wife of his should for a second not understand the responsibility and unfortunately danger that brings. It is quite possible that everytime Dutta leaves the house to go to 'work' (I use that term very loosely and here may I add I have put my personal views at bay as to how much I agree with Dutta's tactics) it may be his last.
this is what naku tells the police geyser.. dutta has been made the saviour... don with a golden hear,, waise think naila Mumbai underworld is seen as infamous.. even its link... colurs were telling a tale of a don... but they had to sugar coat the character.. hence the golden heart dutta.. they had to be careful ,i think that they refrain from glorifying a don... hence police wale ke anti dutta/gangster words... aye sahib bhi reiterates.. her son's good points...His wife needed to be strong. She needed to be the glue in the Patil family. She needs to be sympathetic to the point that perhaps she border sacrificial-her needs and wants (namely that of a married peaceful life) would be put on hold (as her husband fights, sometimes dangerously for the rights of others) for these reasons and many more I just couldn't see Supriya (Who had ulterior motives anyway) Nor Seema (who comes across as materialistic) as fulfilling those roles.i think dutta recognized earlier on she was the one.. bas she saved his life umpteen times.. was fearless of death itself.. she qualifies to be his lioness..
Granted Seema was pre Bhau days, so arguably she wouldn't need to fit the above role, but even if today, tables are turned and she gets the opportunity to be Mrs Patil, albeit we see a new side to her now, I doubt she could understand what being Mrs Patil entails.
yaad hai.. supriya cringed at dutta's touch on the terrace and said to ravii.. uske hatoon se khoon ke badboi ati the..More on this in the next update as it links directly to the scene where Naku visits the village.
hummm .. when iget to see it and do it.. As ever thank you Hammie
