Entry male protagonist

Dutta Bhao

On the Quay

The episode begins with Dutta's resounding firm declaration.. I will not shift the goods anywhere! all gaze and are bedazzled by the persona of the speaker.Morey is curious to know , who this is who dare's to defy his authority.. and somewhat amused he questions, now who is this Amitabh Bachan?

At that point the figure shifts his weight from one foot to the other, spread his arms wide and splashes into the water, regains his posture, and begins to walk majestically cutting through the waves of the sea.. Morey frowns, as the jean clad limbs push their way on to the shore..All wait for this person to show his full semblance.

Baji , suggests to Morey, if you want your safety then quietly go away. Morey moves his eyes from the approaching young stranger, and sets them on Baji's face.. hey jackie shroff ! smartie pants! now you will guide Malmal Morey about what's good and what's bad?. He then drags Naku to his side and walks with her to meet this stranger.. whose feet were now on the shore... and he walked forward , slowly and surely. Babi held her breath, expecting some collision between this stranger and Morey. The stranger wears wet brown square toed shoes, stands on the semi dry sand with his feet slightly apart. Morey finds him standing before him and looks at him with interest. Baji looks at the two with a slightly furrowed brow. Naku looks up at the young mans face. His eyes slightly glazed but fixed to one spot.. and slowly they narrow..he blinks and Naku and Morey observe his slightly apart strong jean clad legs a pair of soft slender hands that hang by his side... Naku's gaze moves up to his pure white two button blazer, a top a navy blue shirt, with top open button at the neck.. which displayed his thick gold belcher chain.. the man wore a close crop stubble and one of his typical feature was his indented chin and a defined square jawline. His face displays a firm pout that almost seems to the onlooker , like a smirk..

Yes it's this still scoffing face that gives Morey a few creases on his brow.. this man's silent calm.. and Morey slaps him across the cheek for his defiance. The stranger holds his face sideways, as we get a view of his profile more so his ear ornaments.. then slowly he brings his head from the side to face .. Morey who much amused rolls his tongue in his mouth.. and replies to Baji's earlier question.. what will you do , if I don't go? he says to Dutta..who now gives Morey a deadly look.. Morey filled with rage gives Dutta another resounding slap on the same cheek ,and his face spins with the impact!.. this time Dutta straightens his face, his brow creases a bit, eyes flash, nose flares.. as he stares at Morey whose eyebrows go up and down, in jest.Dutta looks into Morey's eyes, and then calmly he advises Morey, in a civil tone, listen to Bajirao, and get out from here. Morey chuckles..at Dutta's words..

Naku sees her chance, she bites on Morey's hand,and he lets go of her wrist. Naku runs like the wind! straight to this stranger and he lurches for a moment as she grabs his right arm and turns her head and looks back at Morey.. Dutta stares at Morey.. and soon after the girl hides behind Dutta's arm. He turns his head and his hooded eyes look down at her hiding behind him...and then slowly he moves his head to the centre and muses .. what is going on? the girl weeps shielded by his arm and then he raises his head up and some what confused, yet sternly checks out Morey's face... the girl sobs, .. saab! please save me! saab please save me!.her parents hear her pleas to this man.

Dutta gets suspicious, and his face become frigid as he stands before the girl protecting her. Morey, meanwhile, feels his shoulder , and looks at Naku. Dutta fixes his eyes intently on Morey's face..Morey looks at Naku and cocks at Dutta, as he slowly nears Naku..who grabs Dutta's arm in horror of Morey..she looks up at this strangers face.. but his now waiting, but enraged face stares at Morey. Morey looks at Naku then at Dutta and chuckles, as he says Naku , he?.. he will save you from me?. Dutta waits and watches as Morey's palm slams down on Naku's wrist and he tugs her..Naku looks up at the stranger.. as morey orders her, come with me... but the strangers arm descends on to Morey's and he grips it hard that compels Morey to let go of Nakusha.

Morey looks into this strangers blood shot eyes, bold , defiant, daring, expression.. challenging Morey's might! morey refuses to let go of Naku's wrist.

Dutta grabs hold of Morey's arm, gives it a slight twist, and gives him a right hook under this chin, that sends him hurtling to the ground. Naku and her family are shocked to see Morey challenged by someone at last! Morey gets up .. but his constables come towards Dutta with a stick and he ducks and instead gives a left hook to the cops who go hurtling across the sand.. Baji too bashes the cops! Morey gets up on his feet again sporting a split bleeding eye brow..and Dutta punches,left right and center! back to the ground. Morey gets up again and Dutta like a lion slowly moves to Morey and plus boxes him this time!

Naku runs across to her mother Dutta is attacked by Morey's cop , but he leaps up and knees the cop in his groin! .Baji shouts beat them bhao! and all watch this scene where one man beats and punches the living day lights out of Morey and his fellow corrupt officers. Finally, Dutta glides towards a vanquished Morey and picks him from the ground, holds him by his shoulder raises his right hand in fist, and is ready to punch Morey yet another time .. but with his mouth pulled down to his chin.. Dutta freezes his final punch on Morey.. looks at the man's his bloodied face , glares at him and pushes him back on the ground.. where the cop ends up on his back, his arms stretched on either side of his body. Babi looks on in disbelief..

Dutta looks at a passed out Morey , glares at him , pulls his jacket straight, glares at Morey's cops too and then calmly walks off..

Baji shouts, hey constables ! get an ambulance for your sahab! Dutta too stands before them.. and Baji yells at them go no! and they all run off. Ganpat runs after them yelling hard! you scoundrels get some of your own medication! look your big daddy is here! and Dutta looks at dryly at Baji..

Babi comes running to Dutta, and stands beside him, weeping, with hands clasped, she says, saab, it's a huge favour for us!, she falls to the ground and touches his feet and carries on crying, I will always remain indebted to you .. Dutta looks down and then looks helplessly at Baji.. who smiles at his Bhao's humility.. Babi carries on with her appreciation at his feet and he holds her arms to stand her up, mausi he says, Babi joins her hands and says, you saved my daughter from that demon!.Dutta looked overcome by her disclosure. Naku cries, Ganpat too nods to say thanks. Baji tells them all, now if you irk a sleeping lion ! our lion will definitely not stay calm! ok aunty now stop your meeting, than Baji yells at Ganpat, oye! you what's your problem with the policeman?, Ganpat fumbles sir actually, no sir. Babi takes over, we are poor people sir! she speaks to Dutta who clenches his jaw.. she continues , this demon , wanted to rape my daughter. Ganpat adds, yes sir . Deeply disturbed Dutta, looks at a nearly dead Morey on the beach.Naku, Baji delve on the grim information. Babi weeps and carries on , he tried to pressurize us! no one had the guts to confront him!. Dutta takes on board Babi's reporting ,as she carries on, we raised our voices! that's why he was following us..Dutta winces and looks the other way silently. Baji adds with jest, hey aunty! are you giving us a drama narration?, Babi replies ,no sahab I swear!.Dutta slants his head and glares at Baji, then cocks his head and signals to Baji, deal with this family...and walks away. Baji strokes the back of his head, and says, now tell me where you all want to go?. Ganpat reports, sahab , we were on our way to Shirdi. Babi adds, we were trying to escape from Morey...we thought only baba can shelter us!.

Baji laughs and says, hey aunty! you're very dramatic! and Babi looks anxious, but Baji says, go on ! sit in the car!. Babi looks to their car and relieved nods her head. Baji looks at Sethji ,and teases him ,oyee, half ticket! move fast!.. Sethji gives him a big toothy smile!. Baji urges the family , come on then! move!.frightened the family ,does as Baji says. Baji yells at the rest of his men on the beach, eh! lets start the work!

Dutta leans against his car, one elbow on the bonnet, and the other folded arm resting on his waist. With his head turned, he looks at the approaching family.They come and stand to his side near the car door. Dutta presses his palm.. which delivered punches at Morey.Baji looks to the huddled family , and yells, eh aunty! you waiting for some written invitation! go on get in the car!. With a slant to his head ,Dutta watches, the frightened family.. slowly get into the back seat of the car ,one by one. Baji teases, is it a local train! go in fast!.once in, Baji closes their door. Their, BG's passes a briefcase to Baji, as Dutta ,who still presses his palm watches on.

Baji opens the back door again and tucks in the brief case behind his drivers seat, and replies to Dutta, yes let's go.

Both men get in the front. Baji behind the wheel , and Dutta in the passenger seat.. his right arm, tilted up slightly at the back corner of his seat. Naku sits in the back, squashed between her mother and father. In the dark, she looks ahead at the back of her saviour.

Baji turns the headlights on , and the land cruiser progresses on through the dark roads. Baji breaks into a popular marathi song. A firm faced Dutta rests his head deep in thought, elbow propped up in the window sill, his palm folded. Baji carries on his item song rendition...and keeps tilting his head to people in the back seat! The family begins to worry what kind of men these might be. Dutta is aware , and he turns to Baji and advises with a jerk of his head towards the road, Baji! look ahead and drive. Baji turns to his friend, eh bhau! my eyes are always glued to the road! and Dutta turns to look out of the window, while Baji with a big dimpled smile breaks into song again!

Ganpat looks wearily at Babi ,then at the BGs in the back seat, and wonders, are these guys safe?

First Eye Lock

Naku looks up at Dutta's back, while he lowers his eyes. Suddenly he feels her looking at him and his eyes turn to the long narrow rear mirror.. Naku lowers her eyes immediately.. as he lingers with a slow slant of his head, but lowers his eyes, and looks out of the window. Naku's face softens at has kindness.. still in trauma ,she has FB's of Morey chasing them on the beach, then this strangers face with his mouth pulled downwards, giving punch after punch to Morey! Morey crashing against the crates! .. and Naku trembles as she recalls the events... but gratefully almost in deep devotion she looks at this man in the front passenger seat..

The car speeds on as the tired family, begins to nod of in the car due to fatigue and past trauma. Babi whispers to Ganapat, ask him will he drop us to Shirdi? Ganpat hushes her, keep quiet..let them drop us anywhere they want. Naku looks to Dutta's back, in case he's heard, and will give a response to their query... but he doesn't and continues to look out of his window in silence..

Sethji whispers from the back, over his mother's shoulder , aye I am feeling very hungry.. Babi scolds him quiet! quiet! and Naku turns to look at Dutta's back.. who stirs not.

Baji hears, and whistles, eh aunty !what happened?.Babi says embarrassed, no nothing.. Sethji..

Baji puzzled looked sideways to Dutta.. Sethji??.. and Babi replies, Sethji my son. Baji gives a cocky smile!, what a name to keep! Sethji!. Babi smiles too and carries on , he said ,he's feeling hungry, I told him to be quiet, he won't die if he doesn't eat for sometime. Sethji begins to pull a face.. but Babi tells him off. quiet!

Naku looks ahead at Dutta's back. He looks ahead and orders, stop the car!.

Baji pulls up beside a respite eatery by the road side. Puzzled, Baji turns to Dutta, what happened bhau?, Dutta replies in a guttural voice, I am feeling hungry. Baji retorts , but you never eat from out side.. Dutta looks at Baji ,.and moves his eyes once to the back seat ,and then to the front. Sethji has a huge smile on his face..as Baji mouths a silent, ohh.. at his bhau's eye messaging to him!

Baji parks safely, and Sethji cheers, aye , get off lets go!. The family gets out of the car as Dutta stands with one leg crossed over the other,. his bottom pressed against the bonnet.The family waits, and Dutta turns to Babi and says politely, eat something quickly .. we'll leave in a hour. Sethji , filled with joy says, thank you sahab..and Dutta almost smiles at the little lad.

Dutta watches the family head towards the dhaba.. Baji stands next to his friend and shyly says, Bhau, I'll just have one for the way.. hey! buttermilk bhau!.. Dutta gives him a narrowed eye look, while Baji, mutters, Bhau, thinks , as though I drink daily.. look baho , you won't eat or drink any thing, I'll just go and come.

Dutta's BG's turn up from the side and comment, Bhao, we shouldn't stop in between, we are already running late. Baji whistles at the BG's, eh! forget it friend! you bhau's guard! and this car's mud guard! you are busy all the time! look if you don't drink or eat anything! how will you become bhau's BG ? huh?.. Baji teases, as he puts his arms around the two BG's shoulders .. and convinces them , let's go get something to eat! what will you eat, tandoori chicken?..tell me body builder?

Dutta sides his narrowed eyes and on his lips play's a small smile...as he leans his back on the bonnet of his car and spreads his arms across..one leg crossed over the other.

Ganpat shouts, hey Babi, come soon, come fast and the find a place to sit... outside the owner goes over to Dutta and greets him. Dutta asks him how he was? how is the restaurant doing? and he smiles and replies, fine, with your blessings bhao, you've come after so many days, please have some buttermilk at least. Dutta says, no, I won't take anything, you only take care of my guests, and the owner of the dhaba says, will take good care of them..and he leaves, as Dutta relaxes, his hands shoved in his jean pockets.

Inside, the wayside eating place, Ganpat tells his son, yes Iam placing the order..and he turns to his wife , lets have non-veg food.. Babi gives him a look. Ganpat calls the owner and asks, have you got alcohol? and the guy says no..and Ganpat adds, I am one of bhao's men .Babi tells him off , you'll go to hell! and he replies, with a wink, if I drink and go ,then I wont be able to distinguish between heaven and hell! you talk like a mad woman!. Ganpat turns to give his order, one tandoori chicken, and chicken gravy, aand 10~12 rotis, all cooked well and dal fry and rice too and ohhh fish too!. he says greedily.

Baji who stands close by , with his hand over his head, chuckles and says, hey uncle! have you just got out of prison? since how many days you haven't eaten?.. and Baji says eat to your heart's delight! It's all free!..

Outside one BG, is on his mobile phone... sheepishly. Naku looks at her mother ,then looks across to Dutta.. his right hand with a ring on it, his fingers, tapping lightly on the bonnet.. the studs in his ears.. his hand in his jeans, upper side slit pocket. His eyes and his broody profile with narrow eyes... and she watches his far away figure with interest.

Food platter is set before the hungry family, and they tuck in greedily. Naku looks down morosely, and then suddenly says.. aye ,I'll wash my hand and come back.

Second Eye Lock

She gets up and walks across to a rusty old hand pump. Dutta pulls his hands out of his pocket. Naku, presses the handle, and looks at the tap, nothing comes out of it.

A palm rests on the top of her arm. She turns to look at the finger tips, then her eyes rise up to see the strangers face, serious, but sincere. She is at once at ease, as he bows his head once, and nods. With hooded eyes, he waits for her to pass by him and move to the other side, and he moves and leans , as he feels the handle of the pump. He looks up to see her opposite him, and then starts to push the handle, with concentration to the task, he pumps, as the water pours out of the tap. Naku stares at his face, so calm, and innocent, lowered eyes, but suddenly he looks up and with a frown, his lips part, as looks at her and points to the running water with his palm! Naku leans forward and washes her hands, as her eyes lift up again from her hands over to his face..and she stares.. he too stops looking down, and glares into her eyes sternly. Naku pulls back her hands , and stands up and he too stands and shrugs his jacket in place from the shoulder. Naku joins her hand in gratitude...and moves away from the pump, and he slips his hands in his pockets, lowers his head and walks behind her into the dhaba, and asks loudly, if you all are done, sit in the car. Ganpat says, yes! and gathers his family. Dutta walks over to the counter of the eating place, haan Baji, had your buttermilk?.. Baji says yes. The owner asks Dutta, was every thing fine good? and Dutta replies, yes all good!

Ganpat says to his wife, jump in quick!. As they both sit in the empty car comfortably, Ganpat with a big smile says, Babi, they 're very good people! see , saved us from Morey, then fed us such good food also! they're very good people.

Ganpat suddenly notices the brief case tucked between the seats.. he leans over and puts it on his lap and opens it!... Babi tells him off , what are you doing?

Naku in the dhaba feeds Sethji his last bits of food. Baji looks on and teases, Hey Sethji will you eat the plate as well? come!

In the car, Ganpat opens the briefcase and it is full of bundled cash! in shock both their palms go to their gaping mouths!... episode ends. Hamlet 53, 26.9.13.

Precap ~ Naku is held at gunpoint by a man. Dutta crouches before the front grill of his car... the man yells, eh bhau! eh!.. Dutta stands up.. Sethji face is horrified. Red faced Dutta moves, cocks his gun. The man yells, bhau, drop the gun! or I'll kill her and he points the gun to Naku's head. Dutta moves, his face like the devil incarnate himself.. Baji yells, bhao kill them!kill them... Babi , Ganpat , Sethji wait for fireworks to explode!

N.B... bart, ivy, warrie, naku, dilse, twinks,tammy.. and others for your very very encouraging comments.. yes, bart, I was beginning to lose hope in this thread..as warrie knows too, but all your kind comments, did give me a kick.. love you all so much.. hammie.

Episode ~24

On the road

The episode begins from the point where Babi tells Ganpat severely, to put away the brief case full of cash. Ganpat 's eyes gleam with avarice and he exclaims, there is so much money here Babi! so much money! here take a look!and he picks a few bundles of cash and hides it against his chest .Babi snatches it from him and firmly says, put it back, put it down, don't touch it keep it back.!don't be greedy! don't you have any shame?that man saved our daughter and fed us good food ! will you back stab him? she argues. But Ganpat defends, a drop from the sea won't make it dry? Why is it affecting you, mad woman?I'm unlucky to have you in my life ! he complains. Babi says, eh! dont talk like a mad man !you drunkard! you'll forever be a cipher!. She moans, Ganapat moans back, then why did you marry me? did I tell you to marry me?.Babi digs her heels in and says, eh, if you touch a single note from here! I'll tell bhau ! and she tries to open her car door and Ganpat cries out, eh babi eh! bhau bhau! bhau! stop chanting his name so much! i've lived twenty years with you! and your chanting his name ! whom you've met less than two , three hours ago! stop talking! He glares at her enraged. She looks to the dhaba and Baji and Dutta seem to be returning. Baji asks ,what will happen now, and Dutta replies, give me the keys I'll drive.Baji throws the keys and Dutta catches them. Babi alerts Ganpat , they are coming ! and Babi snatches the brief case and puts it back where it was, while Ganpat complains, let me count..

They return , and Dutta sits in the driver's seat and Baji sits beside him in front, while the rest pile in the rear seat.

The journey resumes, and the two BGs look at each other in annoyance. One of them checks his watch. The other sends a text to someone, checks his watch and then says, bhau, please stop the car I need to pee urgently. Baji turns back and sounds off, hey mud guard! when we stopped at the dhabaa for an hour couldn't you pee then?

They come to a small bridge, and Dutta stops the car. Baji , yells, get down! and then he turns to Dutta, bhau , I'm telling you why do you hire such body guards who want to pee always?..and Dutta gives a wee smile... Baji yells, eh all of you get off!

All disembark from the land cruiser. Dutta pulls his jacket lapels, and looks up at the night sky, and eases his shoulders. Baji yells to the BGs, go on and make it quick!

Dutta starts to twist to exercise his waist, while Baji yells out to the body guard , eh! will you pee a months worth!. The BG, glares back at Baji.. the other BG, tilts his head from behind the first one, taking note of what activity was taking place...they could see Dutta doing the waist twists. The BGs look at each other and wait. Dutta suddenly turns and sees the headlights of a wagon approaching.

It pulls up,suddenly, ts head lamps are turned off. The two BGs run off to the pulled up car .Baji turns and notices them running off, he yells, hey! where are you all running? Dutta notices they run and reach the parked wagon..and someone pulls a gun out.. Baji shouts, bhao! Dutta activates, he shouts eh! get in the car quickly!

The wagons door opens and an arm with gun in hand aims! as Dutta pushes Naku in the car shouting quickly! Quickly! Baji get the gun!! he roars. Baji yells , bhao you move! let me see!. Dutta goes to the driver's door Baji get the gun!. Baji shouts bhau you move! let me see! and Baji pushes Dutta aside on the bonnet of the car! Ganpat asks bewidered, what's happened?

Suddenly men holding rifles start firing at Dutta's stationary vehicle !

Baji stands before Dutta and shoots at the men. Naku ducks low in her seat and covers her brothers eyes as shots are fired loudly from both sides. One guy in the adjacent vehicle looks ahead at the target.

Baji and Dutta are shielded by the front grill of their car. Baji yells , beware! step back! Baji steps before them and Dutta yells to him, step back! one guy with a machine gun steps forward and shoots Baji on his right shoulder!

Dutta crouched against bonnet , roarsss, nooo Bajiii!

Baji staggers in pain and Dutta holds him from behind and brings him to the front of the car and sits him down.. Baji! Baji! sit down here! Dutta yells!

Baji sits , his mouth twists in pain , as he still holds his gun. Dutta moves in front of the sitting Baji and asks in panic, you ok baji ? you ok? give me the gun! and he takes it from is friend. Baji says , finish them all bhau..

Dutta stands up! his body sided ,holding a gun in his long outstretched arm. He shouts and then turns his body , turns and shots again! his gun is empty and in anger he points it up, with his mouth pulled downwards in anger. He dashes to the glove compartment in the passenger seat and fishes for spare bullets, as Ganpat watches in awe, but finds a spare gun which he takes and moves himself alongside the side of the car..

There is rapid exchange of fire! and Dutta presses back against the side of car

Shoots the BGs down. Baji lets out a noise in pain, and Dutta stops his gun fire ,and runs to attend to a shot Baji, Baji are you Ok? nothing will happen! put pressure on the wound!

One guy looks on at Dutta tending to his mate, and seizes the chance, he looks at the passengers in the Dutta's car.. Naku, Babi, Sethji ,Ganpat,.. poised with an aimed gun , he makes way to the car. Dutta pulls out it his hankie, ties it around Baji's shoulder and shouts , keep pressing it! nothing will happen to you!

The other man edges towards the car, runs and opens the car door. While Dutta , shouts to a smarting Baji , wait here !take care!

The guy pulls out Naku out of the car, as Ganpat shouts , eh save Naku! some one save her!. Naku is pulled out of the car with a gun aimed at her , she screams in terror ,like the rest of her family.

The guy yells, eh bhao! eh!. Dutta crouched before Baji looks from the front end of the car, Naku held hostage!

Slowly he stands up looks ahead , judges the situation with fixed eyes.The man with the gun, Naku's bowed head, her hands held up and moving in fright. Firm and fearless he walks towards the the man and captive Naku. The man warns, eh bhau, eh wait bhau! but Dutta continues resolute.. and then stares coldly as he listens to the man's chilling words , I will shoot her!. Dutta's usually firm pink lips part as his eyes pierce too! but undetermined he moves on, his brow sweats, his lips curl, as he looks at the innocent girl held hostage. She watches as his frame slowly approaches them. The man , repeats again, I'll shoot her, bhau!

Dutta moves on, his eyes focussed in a fixed stare. The girl screams , with her head down. Dutta's slender hands, cocks his gun in firing position, as a relieved girl looks across in hope to her saviour, as he moves forward with his gun in his right hand. Dutta with his mouth pulled down in anger and flared nostrils advances foward, as the man orders, throw down your gun bhau before I shoot her! and he brings the gun point closer to the side of Naku's head. Naku's family watch dazed from the car.

Dutta jerks his head to the side, mocking, you'll kill her?. the man confirms I'll kill her bhau!. Dutta unimpressed replies, pull the trigger.. all around hear Dutta's challenge.. and Dutta shouts in a guttural roarrr, shoot at her!. Both Naku and her captor look at Dutta in horror. Dutta glares at the captor.. Baji yells, bhau! kill the scoundrel!. In a split of a second Dutta fires his gun!and the man crumbles to the ground besides a traumatized Naku, with her head the other way, her hands on her face. Dutta stands, with his legs slightly apart, observes as the man falls sideways to the ground. Naku looks now in horror , with open mouth, hands over her ears and eyes popping out. Dutta snarls down at the shot man! , breathes heavily , then looks across to Naku , and his face eases, he blinks once, as he notes she looks at him and then at the dead man.. and then terrified she runs towards Dutta, grabs his right sleeve and hides behind it. Dutta coldly stares at the ground, and then Dutta slowly turns to his right and looks down at her hanging on to his arm.

Babi joins her hands in gratitude and Sethji looks out of the car in complete awe.

Baji peeps from the front grill of the car as he watches both Dutta and Naku still standing near the assumed dead man. Dutta observes the figure and with his right arm that still holds the gun moves back Naku coldly yet protectively, towards the car door, slowly. Dutta turns to open the door for her. His back now is exposed to the man on the ground. Just as Dutta slams the car door shut, the wounded man stirs, and aims his gun at Dutta's unprotected back. Baji yells bhau! but it's too late Dutta is shot at the back in his right shoulder!

He lurches forward as his jaw drops and his full lipped mouth opens wide! All scream in horror. Dutta raises his gun, spins around, screws his mouth and shoots his attacker, who is ready to shoot him again..this time Dutta's get's him in the chest and he rolls on his side dead.

A dazed Dutta looks down at the dead man. His brow knots in pain. He spreads his arms, tries to keep balance on his legs, but his knees give way! and he crashes on his back, upon the ground.. right before Naku, his gun slips out of his fingers .

Baji shouts , bhau! Naku screams, aye! babaa!.. she screams hysterically, saab! saab! getup saab! aye! babaa! she cries for help.

Baji with an injured shoulder in pain comes to his friend but drops by his side. Dutta with his head on the ground, moans in pain. Naku yells babaa!. Babi looks down in horror at the injured bhau and Baji both knocked out cold. Naku screams in panic aye do something!.

Ganpat comes from the side of his wife and looks down at Dutta in a sorry state. An idea comes to him and he looks at Baji who too was knocked out. Naku cries in panic, do something aye! babaa! babaa! he'll die! Naku desperate to keep him conscious grabs his hand, and he becomes aware as she entwines her fingers in his and assures him loudly, saab ! nothing will happen to you! get up saab ji!.. he turns his head and looks up and sees the hazy image of this screaming desperate girl. His eyes roll around to other faces.. Babi, Ganapat.. and Dutta winces in pain. Ganpat looks down at Dutta and chuckles, ha ha ha!.. his family look at his face for his reaction!. Then he comments, my luck! you call this luck! when two gangsters fight! the common man grabs the loot! Naku hears her father and shakes bitterly here, saab is critically injured and babaa.. Ganpat convinces , Babi, look here Babi! here's the money! this is Ganpat's money now! and he gets hold of the briefcase from the car..

Dutta moves his head , and sees the act. While Naku crouches beside a sprawled on the ground Dutta.

Babi confronts, Ganpat, you are so mean, Ganpat! this man saved your daughter not once but twice! are you going to rob him? Dutta moves his eyes upwards to catch on to what Ganpat says.. hey ehhh! Miss goody two shoes! ! this is not the time for it! there was firing here! police will arrive soon! we are trying to escape the police got it! I don't want police trouble again! got it? now move it he shouts and pulls Naku up from Dutta's arm. Naku shouts, no! babaa ! no babaa! but Ganpat drags her.. and she gets up to go ..Dutta grabs her ankle!.. to stop her from leaving him..

With tears in her eyes she turns back and looks at his head, with his narrowed up wards eyes in a pain twisted face.. he waits for her to come, but Ganpat shouts at her move it move it! and pulls her away from Dutta's grip of her ankle..

Dutta turns his head on the ground in anguish...as the family dashes off leaving behind, him and Baji on the road side.

But Naku with force shrugs of her fathers hand and shouts, babaa I won't leave saab and go! she looks back at Dutta on the road, and confirms, I am staying!! and she runs and crouches beside his out stretched arm . Ganpat yells back at her, if you want to die then here is the place for it! come Babi lets go !telling you this will be a police case!

Naku looks at Dutta, and cries, aye lets take him to hospital..they are willing but Sethji points out how will we go? none of us know how to drive here.

They all look worried. Naku looks around in the dark, her eyes suddenly finds a deserted wheeled cart!. Filled with hope she gets up to fetch it. Ganpat urges his wife come on lets go!, but she too looks at Dutta and tells him to stop.

Naku wheels the cart near Dutta's sprawled frame, and orders her father, babaa ! lift them up ! Ganpat replies, pretend your babaa is dead, I can't do anything and he turns to walk away. Naku implores to her mother, who begs Ganpat wait! just help a little Ganpat!. Ganpat still maintains , as he looks at Baji and Dutta's condition, you don't understand.. but Babi in panic presses on, give a helping hand ! pick them up!

Ganapat brief case in hand , places it on the wheeled cart ,while Naku picks Dutta's gun up and puts it on the cart.

Naku lifts one of Dutta's arms, Babi his legs and Ganpat his shoulders..and gently Dutta is laid on the side of the cart. Then the family proceeds to Baji and lift him up and lie him opposite Dutta..

The family push the wheeled cart by hand, towards some hospital. Naku checks his legs are in place on the cart, and the family wheels on as Ganpat complains. I am telling you it'll be a police case. Naku keeps checking up on Dutta's condition. Keeps yelling saab! saab!saab! pressing his shoulder,ensuring he doesn't slip into coma! saab say something ! she cries. Babi says, nothing will go wrong Naku.

Naku grabs his beautiful slender fingers[ hayeee..hands to die for..] and taps them , keeping him conscious .Ganpat pushes the cart ,but moans you don't understand you mad woman! we'll get into trouble. But Naku keeps on moving his shoulder, saab !say something!. Dutta opens his eyes only just and catches sight of Naku's face. Ganpat continues to insist, move out of here ! while we still have time, lets run!. Naku screams saab!

The hospital arrives, and Naku ,caringly assures Dutta, saab you'll be fine ..she screams call a doctor. Ganpat now runs in and says I'll go and get the doctor!

Naku screams and jostles his shoulder, saab say something ! and he looks down hazily at her face, with semi closed narrow eyes, his mouth loosely apart.

Babi beckons the porters, come soon! handle them with care they are injured.Baji is lifted and placed on a stretcher. Naku tends to Dutta, saab, you'll be absolutely fine.. he catches sight of her face again, she cries hysterically, come quickly!. Dutta too is lifted carefully and placed on the stretcher. As Babi, with her pallu in her mouth, Sethji ready to cry looks on.

Naku rushes up to his side, and the family walks alongside the two hospital trolleys. Ganpat and Naku pushing Dutta and, Babi and Sethji pushing Baji! down the corridors.

Doctor is requested for emergency attention, on the loud speaker, as the two are taken to casualty .

The family wait outside. Ganpat hangs on to the brief case, still getting ideas. Babi and Sethji wait on the bench outside casualty. But Naku goes to the round port hole outside the theatre. Inside the ECG monitor beeps... as Baji's arm is being dealt with.

In another section, is the sided face of Dutta pressed against the pillow.. his eyes shut.The surgeon says, I'm giving you an anaesthetic injection, your operation will be done after that, okay? Dutta opens his eye and mumbles, no doctor, I don't need the injection, I want to remember the pain, ahhh, the surgeon retorts , what are you saying? it'll hurt you a lot, you won't be able to bear the pain. Dutta growls, ehh doctor! I said I don't need the injection! I need to remember this pain! get the bullet out!. The doctors complies, ok ..sister.. and the procedure begins. Dutta hugs the pillow, and gives a muffled ahhh..aaahh in pain. Naku watches from the glass port hole in the door, she watches his fingers grip the bed side in pain.. she looks at the monitoring machines... then his squeezed in pain eye, his mouth twisting in agony..and she can't bear to watch..but pray she does.. Bapaa, please save him! sai babaa save him! Bapaa I'll keep a fast in your name..

Dutta winces in pain, as he grips the side of the bed, and the surgeon says, just a little more.Dutta' face distorts in pain.. and Naku sees forceps with swabs, and Dutta's eye twitches and opens.. as his face eases.

Outside the family waits..and Ganpat still whinges, I told ,you ,we'd fall in trouble, see! he points to the OT.. Babi snubs him, be quiet!. Naku looks at his face in disbelief at how callous he can be, Sethji too not impressed with his father..

The surgeon comes out, a lot of blood is lost, one of you will have to donate blood, he says looking at Ganpat, who protests, hey me? how can I give blood ?I don't have blood only alcohol! [ me larfing! chale ga Dutta ke liye !]. The doctor turns to Babi, but Naku informs him, my aye is diabetic.. and then Naku says bravely.. I'll give blood doctor , and goes with the doctor.

Naku lies on the bed next to his bed. She turns her head and looks at his pronounced handsome profile, his wide brow slightly furrowed in pain.

His tall frame lay patiently on the bed, with eyes closed. His right arm rests on his wide chest. His left arm taped with clear tubes.. containing life line.. which came from the tubes taped to her left arm..

She watches him and she smiles, but from his profile that she can make out from where she lay.. he smiles not ,instead his head moves side to side in pain on the pillow.. he almost grinds his teeth, and twitches his nose. Naku looks across to him caringly. The scene freezes as both lay with their left arms linked by a tube, and right arms fold across their bellies... hamlet 53~ 27. 9.13

Naku hears them ask, behind her where is Dutta patil ?Naku turns to face them with a big smile, are you Dutta bhau's men?
