Noyna ‘Sarabhai’?!!

Noyna’s full name was mentioned by the maid in the jail today as Noyna Sarabhai. I don’t recall if Noyna’s surname was previously mentioned in the show or not but I do know that she’s supposed to be a Bengali woman.

Sarabhai is a Gujarati surname, not a Bengali one. Unless the writers wanna show Noyna was married to a Gujarati man by the name of Sarabhai and as his alleged widow still goes by the same surname.

They used it few times before... sporadically! Yeah, then when she invited mihir for her birthday, she served Bengals food !!

Writers found the Sarabhai surname Cool so they used it. Itna bhi nahin socha ki yeh Bengali surname nahin hai

Hmm.. thank you. It must have slipped my mind. On her birthday she even mentioned she ordered an eggless cake for him too. Also we have seen Mittali gorge on non-veg when faking possession too.

They probably even know the surname courtesy of the show. Ek simple google search hi kar lete pata chal jaata Gujarati surname hai. I’m sure there must be at least a couple of posh sounding Bengali surnames too, they could have just asked Barkha for that! She’s a Bong! Even Amar could’ve told them Sarabhai is a Gujarati surname.

Barkha is not bong. She was earlier married to a bengali actor.

She is a bengali...but her husband Naren or Niren is a gujrati i guess
