Naku just clung to his tough tall frame and he looked down into her green doe eyes and gave her a slanted smile, with narrow hooded eyes.. his hands pressed on her back gently as he commented, "you ride well Naku, take me for a ride anytime ,anywhere. She felt the tip of his nose with her fingertip and clarified," nehin Saab .. anywhere nehin! this biking is only for here and now.." before she finished he pressed her back so hard that she jerked flat into his chest! and he fumed on her forehead, "why this distinction Naku ?, she looked up into his contracted eyes , all wide eyed, "you mean to say you don't mind me biking around in Patil Vadi, with you perched on it as well? it's sure to invite loads of stares! mujhe tu koi notice nehi kare ga! but everyone will for sure stop, and salute you!.. he threw back his head slightly and chuckled.. "so you can be funny too Naku ?.. yes you are right that perhaps you may never ride where we live, not the accepted thing for a woman who is Dutta's wife".. he bent his head and brushed his lips against the curve of her neck.."how about giving me the food of love Naku? the thing is, here the expanse of the country side whet's my appetite ..bhaut bhook lagti hai, mujhe" he teased as he kissed her temple...and she slowly flattened her palms on his chest and pushed him off a little, "Saab stop it koi dekh le ga!"she said desperately. He tightened his grip around the small of her back, "and who is going to see us Naku? these horses , donkeys , cows and sheep? ju teri relatives hain! he complained loudly . Naku giggled and tapped her forehead on his hairy chest , "aacha chalo ye batao , what are we doing for dinner? he pulled his neck back and looked down at her face,"hain, what kind of a question is that? kitchen and cooking is your area, so tujhe pata hoga , so go on you tell me then what's for dinner, humm? he pressed his arms around her back , and she moaned, "Saab aaj tu you'll break my back with your squeezes and crushes! Dutta kissed the top of her head and mumbled, "these are not squeezes, but my loving enfolds.. tu bol de ke you don't want your Saab to give you these.. tu I will stop". She moved her eyes up and looked into his lowered eyes,"nooonh maine aisa tu nehin bole..kar lo ju ap ka dil kehta hai.. he chuckled like a rogue as with his slender hand, Dutta moved her head under his chin and replied in an amorous voice , "given the chance Naku I can say a lot but then you will dwindle away in a hot flush!".. she slipped her arms past his v-shaped waist and hugged his back as she pressed her arms diagonally on his broad hard warm back..

His body filled with desire at her touch and he spun her around to the closest tree within their range and showered her lips with an evidence of the service his lips could provide.. She moaned as her head moved side to side on the hard bark of the tree trunk and once again she tried to ward off his heavy body that arched slightly alongside hers against the tree trunk...Anay's yells from behind compelled Dutta to withdraw his further amorous onslaughts on his shy petite wife. They both laughed as they saw Baji running after Anay when he pedalled off with an adult bike,"areee rok ja! marwai ga tu mujhe! Deva shapat baacha hai ya andhe! Anayyy ke baacheee! bawled Baji .Dutta walked toward's the clearing and roared,"Baji! tera se ek baacha nehi sambhala jata? Anayeee! get back here now! bellowed Dutta with his pointed finger downwards near the tip of his toe. Anay pedalled back and braked at a distance from Dutta . Dutta looked at him with a jaw that twitched dangerously..."get off the bike and stand there on the side! he ordered and yelled , Baji !take it away and padlock it". Baji nodded as he watched the shrivelled and frightened Anay ,"ho Bhau!. Dutta walked slowly toward's his nephew and bent his long legs and looked into the his eyes and said slowly, "Anay that was a dangerous thing to do , you could have had a fall ,along with a nasty injury humm?"asked Dutta gently but firmly. Anay snivelled and argued, "but I can ride it mamoo! and I didn't fall either did I ?he asked innocently, Dutta blinked his eyes and gave him a small smile as he placed his palm on the young lad's head, and replied with a small nod,"humm you can ride it, but you need more practice on a bigger bike to gain more control, I watched you for a brief second and the wheels wobbled , the bike could have steered out of control, you are still young and don't understand where danger lurks , but as adults we like to be cautious.. he scratched above his top lip and said.. erhh cautious meaning careful.. and Baji came from the side and put his arm around Anay's shoulders and looked down at the crouched Dutta, "and you better be careful Bhau! before Anay with fright wets his pants! and Anay headlong head butts Baji in his belly yelling "I never wet my pants! .. eee! Baji yelled blue in the face and spread his arms apart,"Bhau this is not fair! he get's a telling off from you and dhulai ye mere kar raha hai yehra hai! you watch Anay! no bed time story for you tonight! threatens Baji. Naku rushes by Anay's side and looped her arms loosely around the little boy's shoulders,"don't tease him Baji , Anay don't you worry if Baji doesn't tell you any stories then your mamoo will .. she giggled .. and Dutta was stunned into silence as his palm pointed to his chest. Baji heard the solution and cackled with a clap of his hands and yelled , "ho! Bhau will tell him stories of kis ke supari de! kis ko thora! aur kii ko duniya se utha diya! and Dutta roared, Baji chupkar eyeee! before main teri ko dhekhoan apne haaton aur laaton ka kamal! Naku took Anay by the hand and covered his ears, with her palms, "not for your ears Anay! chal let's go while we decide what punishment to give these badly behaved men!

Anay gave Naku a sided glance and demanded, "Naku mammi, Anay is hungry.." Naku's big bold green doe eyes twinkled and the penalty for the two big bad boys passed through her mind.

She walked toward's Dutta and Baji who slyly passed swigs between each other from a brandy bottle tucked under Baji's brightly coloured violet kurta. As she approached, Dutta casually wiped his mouth with his back hand and asked with some authority,"khana kab mile ga?.." Naku stood before him defiantly her arms held in front and replied coolly,"khana tab mile ga ja ap dono kuch bunao ga?.. Dutta spun his head to Baji, and said, Baji ye yedre tu nehi?.. Baji sniggered and pulled his lips downwards and brushed his chin, and replied, Bhau mujhe nehi legta she's kidding! looks like aaj ye hum dono ko yedra buna g dum hd!.Dutta too a step closer to her and glared into her eyes, "Naku what is the meaning of all this? how ridiculous !Naku retorted back," when you can do all sorts of bold, daring, deeds, Baji outlined before Anay , tu what's a small taste of cooking do to you? waise bhi you have come out camping .. so it's not impossible that you should cook as well , unless you give up.. Saab.

Baji pat's Dutta's shoulder "nehin Bhau ! ab tu Naku has challenged you! you can't not accept it!.. Dutta turned round and thumped the back of Baji's head, and cranked his head, and snapped,"eyeee nautanki! She has also mentioned that tu bhi cooking kare ga!.. Naku dusted her hands and confirmed , "yes Baji you and Saab are both guilty of squabbling like children before Anay , kya sooche ga woh? he's at an impressionable where kids imitate adults, hence both both are punished. Dutta raised his palm and shouted firmly, "bas! we'll do it ! tera bashan sune se better hai hum cooking kerian. ..chal! Baji! yelled Dutta.

Both went and sat on a boulder.. Dutta cranked his neck toward her and his eyes twinkled narrowly at her," chal ja ab! mera mau kya dekh rehe hai! you've told us we'll decide what to make..he said briefly and Naku turned her back to them and left.. as she mused she'd better give something to Anay to peck on in the meanwhile,as these two could take ages to decide.

Baji looked expectantly at Dutta ,"Bhau koi ideas hain tera pas what to cook?", oyee bloody fool! thujhe main koi cook nazar ata hoon! you shoot your mouth off with rubbish about our trade! so you come out with the idea! Dutta rattled. Baji looked sheepishly at him as he felt the back of his head and replied cheekily," Bhau main tu bolon, what say we just have a dessert of brandy punch fruit mixed salad! let's skip the main meal! he sniggered. Dutta turned his face towards his friend and said, " jab bole ga bikwas he kare ga! Baji sooch jaldi se..."Dutta stood up and lightly poked his fingers on his chin in a thinking mode as his head turned and his eyes shifted.

He looked at the nearby stream and bowed his head and then turned to face Baji who still sat on the boulder content as he felt the back of his head. "right it's going to be roasted fish! there's the stream! It's clean flowing waters, let's check how deep it is?.. concluded Dutta.

Both head toward's the rippling waters, they could see medium sized fish ! within easy catching range.. Dutta said , "get in Baji and scoop a couple of those fat slivery fish, they don't seem to have a thick layer of hard scales". Baji liked the idea but not the idea of fishing! wading in person! so he said "Bhau ,let's go to the local super market and get an anglers set, plus a portable barbecue pit! Dutta nodded "haan ye thek hai , tu ja shouldn't take you long on the cycle! I'll watch over Naku and Anay .. Baji ran toward's the bike and carried out his Bhau's order..

Naku, saw and yelled," Baji where are you running away from the task? and Dutta walked towards her... stood near her and said slowly with a grave face. .. do you think you can make some white rice..? she smiled at him and said , "will do Saab , and are you saying sorry? Dutta towered over her and said, "nehin!.. and then he called for ..Anay!

Anay came and held onto Dutta's hand and said,"yes mamoo , he tried to please..

Dutta looked down at his head and said, "Anay abhi thuri der bad you will go fishing and we'll see if you can catch a fish?.. Anay's eyes couldn't conceal his excitement, yeahhh! he shouted,"Naku mammi we are going to fish! Naku smiled and thought, hummm ..

Baji returned with the provisions, "ye lo Bhau tumhare khatir ye bhi sehi! He smiled as he unloaded the stuff. Dutta nods ,why meri khatir ? it's all because your big mouth spews trash! that we are going through this cooking nonsense! otherwise my good wife would have cooked us a nice meal." he complained. Naku came out of the tent and looked at the bags, "don't tell me aap dono phir se shorru ho gayean hain.." Dutta raised his palm at her plus rolled his eyes and instead yelled at Baji, "chal Baji set up the portable barbeque! and I hope to god you got the igniter.. Baji nodded and went ,"ho Bhau ! and got busy unpacked , and assembled the pit.. laid the special coals and finally laid the brand new grill upon it.Once finished he brushed his hands, stood and unpacked the fishing net.. Dutta looked at them.. and picked up a yellow cone shaped net with a long yellow pole at it's end. Anay ran and got hold of the pole and waved the net in the air, and then rested the pole on his shoulder with a naughty smile,"come on Dutta mamoo let's go fish! as he nearly dashed off but Dutta stopped him in his tracks as he leapt and pressed his palm on Anay's belly.."wait a minute! rok abhi! let me and Baji get our fishing nets too and he revolved his neck toward's Naku and says,"thujhe bhi chaiye net? maachi pakre ge? and Baji yelled , no! Naku's won't be fishing Bhau , she has the biggest shark for a life time Dutta ShiRam Patel! .Dutta nodded his head and cranked his eyes and looked the other way. Naku giggled and replied,"no Baji you Saab , and Anay go ahead! I am preparing the boiled rice! . Baji grabbed a green cone net and hurled a red one toward's Dutta , who caught it and remarked, "why the red one mine, main koi danger hoon?. Baji turned to him innocently," ho Bhau khatra he khatra! explosive!

She could see from a short distance their figures at the shallow river perched on it's green banks. Her Saab loomed over Baji and little Anay. Dutta had his muscular arms stretched over Anay shoulders all the way down to his lower arms as he aided Anay who scooped and dipped in the river to catch tiny goldfish with his net . As she checked the rice , she could hear Anay's cheerful laughter and Baji and Dutta's voices of reprimand if he stepped out of line.

Naku once satisfied that the rice were cooked to how they should be, lowered the heat on the Bunsen burner and made way towards the river. To be on the safe side she held a tarpaulin jacket for Anay in case he got wet.

She could see her Saab's body with his legs apart balanced on two pieces of tree roots, his back arched as he lowered his rod and caught a palm sized slivery fish.. his concentration broke and he yelled "Baji !hold this beauty for a minute! and he turned his neck slowly and in the dappled sunlight that filtered through the tall wide trees on to the forest floor.. he saw her beautiful frame delicate and demure as Naku walk towards them .He beckoned her and she came and stood beside him, but he wobbled a bit and then steadied himself. She very nearly touched him and he growled nehin!.. but she pulled his arm and he had to get off from his balanced position, as he landed on his feet with a thump beside her..

He gave her a sided glare, "did you have to shake me Naku ? I was fine, and he grabs the pole end of his red net and pulled it out of the water and showed it to Naku, "here hold the pole.. she held it gingerly as she looked at the fish that wriggled its tail! and she giggled and Dutta smiled at her tenderly.

Baji yelled, Bhau it must be one kg in weight.. looks small but pale hoi lagete! Dutta nodded , hummm we need two more of theses to make our dinner!. With Baji's help Anay caught a smaller then medium fish ,"look what I caught for my dinner! he yelled excited. Dutta turned to Naku , "go fetch a bowl or a clean bucket to put the fish in". She scampered off back to the tent. Baji too caught a medium sized fish and curved the pole with the netted fish in it.. Dutta folded his hand and felt his chin and declared that's dinner sorted !" and looked behind him and Naku turned up with a bucket and the three men tossed their netted fish into a clean bucket.. and Anay begged "mamoo one last go at river dipping.. before we go.. " Dutta bowed his chin and raised his finger, "ok put you release what you catch back in the river, we've got what we wanted.. "but why can't I keep these very tiny fish? he argued.Baji glared at him, "areee Anay samjhe kar these little fish are bare maachi ka dinner! how would you like if someone takes your dinner from under your nose?.. and Anay questioned ,"but Baji which fish would eat these big fish!? Baji replied, .. big fish like us chal ab collect the nets! and let's go and he taps his brow and says to Bhau, "bahut sawal kerta hai ye lardka, full of questions he is!

Dutta gave a slanted smile and felt Anay 's back as the three returned to the tent area.

Surrounded by thick conifer trees in the vast tranquil natural site Naku sat with legs folded neatly in her sari.. she just looked at the hungry trio. Anay raced and sat cross legged close to Naku.. Dutta looked at Naku and asked.. "bucket la edhur! going to start on the fish.. Naku looked at his furrowed brow and said with a sweet smile, "Saab main kare? Dutta glared at her, "nehin! me and Baji will do it ourselves! we take are penalty with full honesty and he asked Baji, "get the tongs out Baji! I need to start now!. Once he clasped the tongs in his slender hands, Dutta slapped the fishes one by one of the pit.. and gave a sided cocky look to Naku and said," your stare on my face will not cook the fish any faster! so check the rice.. ".Naku folded and unfolded her fingers awkwardly in her lap and replied. "the rice is made, Saab let me help.. shall I sprinkle some salt and pepper ,or mirchi?. Dutta looked at her and with his mouth pulled to one side.. he slanted his eyes and eyebrows to his arm and said, "roll my left sleeve up properly..it's coming in the way". She moved to his left side crouched beside his folded loin pressed on the ground. Her tiny fair fingers folded the sleeve further up his elbow, as he screwed up his nose and turned the fish over.. it's grilled aroma fizzed and swirled up in a clear smoke.. Baji came over and crouched beside Dutta ,"chal I'll take over Bhau, if you want a break." Naku looked at Baji ,"break? how much time have you spent cooking hardly five minutes.. Dutta turned to her sideways and growled, "don't give snide comments , otherwise everyone will go to bed hungry! by the way you were supposed to add the spice.. whatever happened to that humm? he asked with an intimate look into her eyes and she giggled and pushed her body up from the ground and reached out for the spices..

Dinner made and served all four sat around the warm embers of the portable barbeque. Naku served Dutta first who suggested, "phele Anay ko de uske fish and rice" she did with a word of advice," here Anay, let me show you how to debone it.. and Baji yelled, " Naku let me do it! and before he completed Dutta glared at him.. "no need to say more, ju bole ga wok fasool he hoga! chal do it!. Baji pressed his finger tip on the flattened fish in a plate and with a sharp quick knife action from its gullet to it's tail! split it neatly! much to Anay's amazement and Dutta leaned forward and pointed his finger at the fine boned white skeleton of the fish.. "Anay dekh! this the fish's skeleton keeps the fish's body together".. and Naku smiled at Dutta and he told her, "get a fork and gently lift off the bones.. and Naku looked at him dumbfounded.. and he jutted his chin forward and said," what's the problem , can't you do it? she shook her head and he rolled his eyes, "didn't ask you to perform a herculean task.. it's only bone picking, he griped and neatly lowered his fingers and with one gentle pinch of his fingers he managed to literally peel out the skeleton in one go! and held it up for Anay to see.. "keep this safe may be you can dry it and take it back to show every one.. at your school.

"Count how many bones make up this skeleton..? and he laid it on a clean plate .. but Anay for the time being appeared busy as he tucked into his meal of rice and fish.. and he sneezed suddenly. Naku patted his back and bent her head near him and asked.. "tu thek haina Anay ?. Dutta rolled his eyes and commented, it's that pepper you sprinkled.. might have got up his nostrils, har baat pe panic maat kiya kar Naku".. he told her off and she closed her lips, pulled them to one side and shook her head a bit and then silently ate her food. Dutta stole a look at her as he held his plate on his torso, his long legs crossed on the grass and propped on his folded elbow.." ummm Naku , tune kuch bola nehi whether maine aache cooking ke ya nehi?..he teased with a slanted smile. She looked up into his smiling eyes and replied, "haan Saab you and Baji both did a good job, the fish is cooked properly and not even burnt .." Dutta chuckled a little as he and Baji who sat beside him, smacked their palms loudly.. Dutta added , "and it's healthy eating as well, no excess oil" ,he looked at Anay and continued, "you know fish has oil in it's body which is good for bones, hair and teeth", Baji's eyes twinkled and he said, "Bhau tu khud ka deitician ka side mein dhande kyun nehi shorru kerta! main chalie ga! ladeez log ka full to full rush hoga apun ke dukan par! he clapped and laughed . Dutta tried not to smile and looked the other way.. then slowly cranked his neck back and said,"tera khana khatam ho gaye ho tu ,you better clear all this! and get Anay to bed.. he looks tired.. " Baji went ,"ho Bhau! waise don't know about Anay , but looks you are in a hurry to turn in, kyun Bhau !bol Bhau !. Dutta reached out for a plastic spoon and hurled it at Baji's head! and hit bulls eye. Anay clapped , "yeah mammoo! great shot! . Baji rubbed his scalp and grunted to Naku , "kya khoon khar aadmi hai tera Saab ! jo cheez nazar ati hai de marta hai!.. and Naku shook her head and stood up to clear up , and looked down at her Saab whose body was beginning to straighten up on the ground.. as he shoved a folded arm under his head.. while his empty plate lay on his belly!

Naku said ," Saab are you going to sleep here on the grass tonight? He raised his head up a little to see Baji and Anay going in the tent to store away the pots pans etc.. and he shifted his eyes and he gently raised his hand.. will you sleep here with me.. hummm? Naku shook her head and picked up the cushions.. but answered ,"nehin! you are not sleeping here and neither am I" .. he gave a slow growl.. "arghhh such a boring woman you are! no sense of adventure , romance, or experimentation! aghhh.. he groaned as he pressed his chest. Naku just giggled and went toward the tents. But he still lay on the grass and watched her , send Anay with Baji into their tent.. she went in probably and ensured Anay was tucked in bed.. Dutta waited, as he bit his lower lip, then Naku came out ,she looked his way. Seeing his chance he beckoned her with his palm , but she pointed to their tent and went in..

Disappointed he had no choice, stupid woman he fumed and he hauled himself, scrambled to his feet and with one arm folded behind his back he walked towards his tent..

However much to his delight his wife was already tucked in bed.. dressed in a white kurta pyjama. Much to his distaste he peeled off his pathiani and pulled on his white pyjamas ,but remained in his white vest.. he came to the sleeping bag that she had kept open from one side to receive his huge frame in. Before she covered him with the sleeping bag.. he nearly fell on her and hugged her, and give her a big noisy smooch on her neck.. "do I smell of cooking? She giggled, humm you do, but nice.. he brought his lips close to her when..

Bhau! this Anay says his nose is blocked! and he wants Naku yelled Baji from outside their tent... Dutta moved off her and muttered, damn! let me go and see kya hoya hai? you stay in bed, keep my place warm.. Dutta stood up and trudged. toward's the door and raised the flap.. Baji looked embarrassed, "Bhau, Anay's says he is unwell".Dutta stood near the entrance of his tent , in his white vest and white pyjamas.. his arms stretched both ways against the entry frame.."yaar Baji! this is ridiculous! he moaned but before Dutta finished, from behind Baji in the dark! Anay darted past Dutta straight into their tent and ran to Naku in the sleeping bag, crawled in, and clung to her, his arms around her neck.. crying , Naku mammi Anay is not well! and she put her arms around his warm soft body. Dutta turned his neck from where he stood and saw the pair as Naku just held her palm up to him as a sign of calm.. Dutta slowly turned his neck and faced Baji and stepped out of the tent. He looked beaten, as he cranked his neck toward's Baji,"chal let's just have some quiet time with a drink amongst ourselves, Baji. Baji nodded, but suggested,"ho Bhau , but at least grab your shirt otherwise you'll get what Anay has". Dutta went , humm, and went back to his tent and pulled out his white kurta and head first in a mood he put it on. He looked at Anay , trying to sleep on Naku's bosoms, while she patted his back trying to put him to sleep.. Dutta met Naku's eyes , and he mumbled, I am outside with Baji, turned and went out of the tent... to be continued ~ Hamlet53~ 2.12.13
