Hey DD!!! Lovely post again and a very thoughtful question... yes, does she really have the right to know anything or rather demand it the way she did when she herself is hiding a big secret. I agree with you that it could be unwarranted - but here is one difference i can tell you why i would defend Naku - and be the Devil's advocate! 😊
Naku is hiding a secret, but she is not destroying evidence and planning to keep it from him forever - she will tell him the truth and in her case (as foolhardy as it may seem), she wants her mother to come around first before coming clean to her husband on her life's biggest truth - the truth that will also change her own life in many ways regardless of his initial reaction - living with an identity she is not accustomed to.
In case of Aayisaheb, Naku has seen and been explicitly told to keep this secret hidden forever. Aayisaheb does not even INTEND to tell Dutta something that she definitely knows he must know. The way she caught her gasping for breath and then confronting the man who Nakusha felt warmly blessed her as Dutta's wife - and then her uneasiness just before he stepped into their house (during the famous magic show) as well as her whole conduct through this episode - sweating, palpitating, lying blatantly, asking Naku to keep mum, threatening her with consequences such as losing Dutta forever, burning her hand in the whole haste and panic and then the final piece of puzzle - the photo of that kid with the same man who blessed her and the sindoor falling off from her old belongings that she had obviously kept safe with her... Aayisaheb's entire conduct seems very suspicious and being the girl that she is - she always wishes good for the family and Dutta - she would want to know what is bothering Dutta's mother so much, even before it reaches Dutta... she is also concerned for Aayisaheb.
See, she believed her and even came running to inform her of the tapes being retrieved from the fire. She was uncomfortable when Dutta was getting restless for an answer and Aayisaheb did not tell him anything, but she kept quiet. But the picture and sindoor made it impossible for her not to ask what the problem is.
For Nakusha right now, the more important thing is to try and get Aayisaheb to share her problem that is causing her so much distress. She is giving herself away in panic, literally and anyone who really cares for the family would coax her to talk.
Why do you think Nakusha should not ask? There is no deal happening there with secrets 😆... She knows she will eventually tell Dutta her own truth and so, it does not stop her from asking Aayisaheb what is worrying her so much that she is virtually palpitating! And, she wants Nakusha to be the keeper of this secret - a perpetrator in the crime. Naku has never intended to do that with her own secret.
Again, Dutta almost caught his mother with that unknown enemy and confronted her, but she lied. If he had caught Nakusha with her truth and confronted her, she wouldn't have lied about it - 😊 Because she is hiding the truth knowing that the inevitable is that it has to come out and soon, but Aayisaheb does not intend to tell Dutta this secret of hers at all, which is making Naku all the more curious - because she knows that no matter how much Aayisaheb tries, Dutta will end up finding out about it. She of course understands the value of truth - only that like we all know - this hesitation of facing the biggest truth of your own life is a very delicate moment - a moment when it is the toughest choice of life to decide whether you have enough courage to perhaps see your most cherished person in life walk away because of your truth. Yet, it does not mean that she intends to keep him in the dark forever like Aayisaheb.
So yeah, since we have the advantage of weighing her on the scale of guilt, we find her tone unjust and that she does not deserve an answer - but think of her as a woman who has been accepted as the daughter in law of that household - the house of a man she virtually lives for and can do anything. It is about his family - a truth that is worrying his mother and that his mother feels will swallow him up completely. Why would she not want to know!?😊
Edit: I forgot to add this quote: "Two wrongs do not make one right"... so even if she is hiding something waiting for that elusive right moment, under the influence of some people, 😡, she will be even more "wrong" if she does not try to figure out a puzzle she has seen Aayisaheb make in front of her - moreover, dutta has smelt the rat and is so restless toh naku ko toh kuch der ke liye detective ban na hi hai! 😊😆
