Kumkum was standing near the window, in her room. She was not only quiet but also confused, with fear in her eyes. She didn't know, she didn't understand what was to happen after this. She remembered Sumit's words, what he said , in the dinner. 😕 😕
Kk : yeh kya ho gaya hai mujhe…. Aaj mujhe apna har kadam galat lag raha hai. AISA nahin hai ki main Sumit se pyaar nahi karti… par aaj sab kuch galat lag vaha hai…. Mummy ji , Papa ji….wo….. 🤢
She is very tense.
Sumit enters the room, and sees her standing, quietly.
Sumit goes near her and stands beside her, still she couldn't make out. She was busy luking at the sky. 😳
Su (smiles) : Kumkum.
Kk (snaps out) : Hunh…. Aap….. jee….
Su : Kaisi tabiyat hai tumhari?... Aaj Unit ke log tumhe kaafi miss kar rahe the. 😊
Kk ( with a fake smile) : Hmm…. Theek hun…
Su : Doctor ko dikhaya… kya kaha unhone? 😛
Kk : Nahi… doctor ko nahi dikhaya.
Su : Kyun??..... aise tabiyat aur bigad jaayegi naa… Ruko main bulata hun. 😳
Kk : nahi Sumit….. main theek hun…. Sach.
Sumit stops.
Kk : Ermm….. Sumit ek baat poochni thi aapse. 😳
Su : Haan poocho naa….
Kumkum turns her back towards him and then starts speaking, so that he might not read her face.
Kk : Sumit… agar koi kisi se bohut pyaar karta hai…. Aur ….aur usse jhoot bolta hai..sirf….sirf isliye ki Can wo apna pyaar na kho de…. To kya yeh galat hai? 😕
Su : haan……. Bilkul. Kyunki agar hum kivi se pyaar karte hain to hume usse jhoot bolne ki zarurat hi nahi padegi. 😡
Kk (with tears in her eyes) : M… magar Sumit…. Agar wo insaan kisi ko takleef jaanbujh ke nahi dena chahta tha… bas yehi darr tha ki agar usne sach bola to usse uska pyaar chin jaayega. To bhi uska jhoot bolna galat hai?
Su : Dekho Kumkum… Jhoot , jhoot hi hota hai…. 😳 Phir chahen wo kisi bhi cheez ke liye bola gaya ho….. aur waise bhi agar kisi se hum sachcha pyaar karte hain….to koi bhi sach…. chahe wo jitna bhi kadwa ho…….hume usse alag nahi kar sakta. Par tum aise … yeh sab kyun pooch rahi ho? 😕
Kk (thinks) : kya karun?... Sumit ko sach bata dun.. 😕
Su : Kumkum…
Kk : Hunh…
Su : Kya hua?.... Koi problem hai?
Kk : Jee….. wo…. Sumit, mujhe kuch… (she stammers then pauses) wo Sumit main eek novel padhi thi usme yehi story thi….isiliye poocha.
Su : Ohh…. To kya end tha us story ka?
Kk : Pata nahin….. maine end nahi padha. 😕
Su : Ohh…. Okay…. Jab end padh lena….. tab bata dena ki kya hua tha? Okay? 😳
Kumkum smiles.
Sumit , then leaves.
Kk (to herself) : main kyun nahi bata paayi Sumit ko… kya karun?....
She sits on the bed, and cries. 😭

Kumkum is sleeping, or say, trying to sleep. She is feeling uneasy.
She remembers Sumit and Prachi's talks.
" Aisi ladkiyan yeh bhi nahi sochti ki unke baad unke mummy-papa ka kya hoga?" 😭
She sits up, and is very worried.
Kk : Mujhe mummy jee-papajee se aaj hi baat karni hai….. abhi.
She luks at the time. It was 11: 00 p.m. she gets up from the bed, changes, and goes out of the house. 😕
Outside she hires a taxi, and sits in it.

Sumit is also awake in his room. He hears some noise, so he gets down. He finds Kumkum's door open. He goes in and finds Kumkum missing. 😕
Su : Kumkum…….Kumkum….
He searches her everywhere, and is now tense for her. 😭

Kumkum reaches a place and gets out. She goes inside a P.C.O. first, she is about to dial her house number, but did not have the courage.
Kk : pehle, Chanchal se baat karti hun….. usse ghar ke baare mein poochti hun.
She dials a number. The bell goes.
The phone is in a shop. A man picks up the phone.
Man : Hello…
Kumkum covers the mouthpiece of the receiver with her saree.
Kk : hello…. Mujhe Chanchal se baat karni hai.
Man : Kaun?
Kk : Main uski dost.
Man : ruko…..
Man ( to himself ) : Aawaj kuch jaani pehchaani lag rahi thi….. (to a boy)…. Chotu… jaa zaraa Chanchal didi ko bula la….. keh uski dost ka phone hai.
Chanchal comes there.
Ch : Ki hoya Chacha?
Man : Dekh teri saheli ka phone hai.
Ch : meri???....... achcha .
Man : Achcha….. main abhi aat hun… dukaan dekhna.
Chanchal nods. She then picks up the phone.
Ch : Hello.
Kk (with tears, listens her voice, starts crying) : Chanchal. 😳
Ch ( pauses… surprised) : Ku… 😛
Kk : Nahi Chanchal, mera naam mat lena.
Ch (crying) : Kaisi hai tu? 😃 😭
Kk : Hmm……. Changi…. Aur tu?
Ch : Mast.
Kk : Mujhe yaad karti hai?
Ch : Naa…. Main kyun tujhe yaad karke… tere aur Sumit ke khayaalon ke beech aaon. Aur……. Yeh bata.. tu Sumit se mili? 😃
Kk : Hmm…. Main ab uski manager hun…..usi ke ghar pe rehti hun. 😊

Ch : Dekh , maine kaha tha naa….. ki tujhe tera pyaar zarur milega.
Kk : Haan. Chanchal… ek baat poochun…sach sach batayegi?
Ch : Pooch naa.
Kk : Mummyjee-Papajee, kaise hain?.....Mere jaane ke baad… unhone…. Kya kaha logon se.
Chanchal is quiet.
Kk : Samajh gayi……. Naraaz hain mujhse …..hai naa?
Chanchal is still quiet.
Kk : Chanchal, tu kuch bolti kyun nahi?
Ch : Ermm… kuch nahi.
Kk : Nahi….. tu mujhse kuch chupa rahi hai… bata mujhe…. Tujhe meri kasam 😭 😭
Ch (crying) : Kumkum…. Kumkum…..
Kk (scared) : Chanchal bata please…..
Ch : Kumkum, Uncle jee ne sabse keh diya ki……. Tu apne kisi rishtedaar ke yahaan jaa rahi thi aur tera……. Tera accident ho gaya…. Jisme tu……. Tu mar gayi. 😭 😭
Kumkum is shocked.
Ch : Unhone…… unhone to tera antim-sanskaar bhi kar diya….. ab koi tere baare mein koi baat nahi karta. 😭 😭

Kumkum disconnects, and moves on…..
She kept thinking about Sumit's words……. Chanchal's words….. her happy days with her family….and she kept walking.

Su : Kahaan dhoondhu main Kumkum ko? Raat ke ek baj rahe hain….. Khaan hogi… kaisi hogi?....Kya karun. 😕
So : Don't worry Sumit….. Mil jaayegi wo. Tu chinta mat kar.
Su : Kab tak aise hi ghoomte rahenge…. Aur kahan kahan jaayenge. Mujhe shaq tha ki wo pareshaan hai…. Par kya baat hai… na maine usse poocha….. na usne kuch bataya.
So : Tu please relax kar….. sab theek ho jaayega.
Sumit then remembers, that whenever Kumkum used to be tense, she liked being in open air, near some water… she told him so… (Remember when they danced and Kumkumsaid… ki jab koi uljahn hoti hai to khuli hawa mein aa jaati hun). 😛
Su : Yes….. I know……. Wo… kahan hogi…. Juhu Beach….. Haan…… Juhu Beach. 😛

Kumkum sitting on rocks (stones), near the sea, in Juhu Beach. She is simply lost in her thoughts.
Sumit comes running towards her. He sees her sitting and heaves a sigh of relief. Sumit and Soumy come near her. They see her sitting quietly. Soumy signals Sumit to go, and he himself goes near the car. 😳
Sumit goes near her, and sits beside her, keeps his hand on her shoulder.
Kumkum slowly turns towards him. He sees Kumkum, in tears. 😭 😭
Su ( slowly) : Kya hua Kumkum? 😳
Kumkum, suddenly, hugs him tightly, and cries her heart out. 😭
She hugs him as if never to leave him. Sumit , too hugs her back, tightly.
