Whoa...what a fabulous thread this has turned out to be for discussing Mina's initial post and so many of you expressing your thoughts eloquently - loved reading them all!

I do agree that Abhi needs to man up. He needs to man-up and tell Tanu, "Talk to me. Scream at me. Don't scream and pressurize Pragya for anything because it is not her mess to clear. It is OURS. Most importantly yours as you were in your senses while I was drunk when it happened and you could have stopped it or taken precaution as you know my situation." Here he is avoiding Tanu like anything while he says that he wants his baby and family's vansh is growing in Tanu. Abhi has become a mere spectator while he should be proactive, instead of redeeming Abhi in this track, the CVs are ruining his character.

This particular one (esp. @ bold) resonated with me as part of my frustration with Abhi in this pregnancy drama is his inaction or lack of effort to do anything with either Dadi and/or Tannu. CVs certainly continue to do a disservice to his character by making him so cavalier/dismissive about Tannu & her pregnancy. There hasn't even been one single attempt where he has tried to tell Dadi something...anything - what has it been about 15 days of KKB time since he's known about Tanu's pregnancy?!

I know he is far from being proactive (and hasn't even been his usual reactive self)- IMO even with the MMS situation, Abhi didn't really go after any answers - yes, he halted the divorce proceedings and according to the FB, the solution just fell into his lap in the form Bunty's toy the night before his planned wedding drama!! At least Pragya did something in all her failed attempts (MMS)...and she continues to fight for him and "his" child through all of this.

The half-truth is certainly something that will help Abhigya's relationship but we all know that there is a storm just around the corner and let's see if Mina gets to do a "Congrats abhi part deux!" thread.😉

@ red- I wanted add Pune trip, the way he treated Pragya and Bulbul's roka by swimming pool, he wanted to spend time with Tanu. After all these, Abhi saied Tanu: we decided the we will meet but will not cross our limits, we will maintain distance blah blah... I can't believe how CV's took U turn here to save Abhi, did they forget what they have been showing since Abhigya marriage OR they think viewers are suffering from amnesia?

They didn't forget nor did they think we would forget. They thought we wouldn't care because it's more important for Abhi to look like a moral person now than to have actually been one earlier. 😔

That's the same reason I don't like the MU argument when it comes to Abhi marrying Pragya either. The MU deflects from the bigger problem, which is what kind of a problematic person do you have to be to marry someone to inflict revenge and prevent your best friend from marrying who he wants?

Yes! He did keep the relations. And he kept himself confused and didn't bother making decisions. And he led Tanu on with half-promises and requests for delays. And god so many things that make me 😡

Interesting point about the MU too! The answer is that he's the kind of noble, caring, self-sacrificing, idiotically blind and irresponsible brother who would give in to his sister's emotional tantrums and spoil her with whatever she asks for instead of making her deal with reality like an adult. Also apparently he has no idea about fact checking. 😒

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention, also the kind of grandson who believe it is loving and respectful to feed his sole parental figure lie after lie about what he wants in life and how he chooses to live it.

Abhi has said many times that dadi is his inspiration etc etc. He is emotionally weak person, he depends on dadi & pragya most of the times. Now he has no one so I don't think he will be in any position to understand tanu's lies. I would love it if he figures out everything and clean up the mess.

I would love it if he has no one and realized he could be strong enough to live with truth instead of lies, but they keep showing Daadi and Pragya putting up with him!!

I don't really get it about ruining his character. I do think we're seeing the seeds of redemption here - the first spring shoots of it too. I can't see it as ruined when he's really just being the height of what he's always been.

Oh how I wish he would try to tell Daadi something. I think he's sort of vaguely thought about it. But the lack of decisions...uff!!

Sure, if Abhi deserves it and I feel the urge, I will laud him at every truth-telling and maturity milestone in the future 😆

Abhi's character is such that "he has nowhere to go but up" in the bubble of Abhigya's relationship and I suppose his personal growth...but I did think family and his relationship with Dadi were important to him. His relationship with Dadi also seemed pretty real so for him to not even attempt to salvage it with honesty (yes, I did say honesty and Abhi in the same sentence 😛) is why I think the CVs are doing a disservice.

LOL. Good points.

Still not getting it. He's been deepening his lies to Daadi and his family all this time. Him having to bear the consequences of them facing the truth...all good to me.

I would definitely have preferred to see him be intentionally honest, but it's completely in line with his character that he's not. What I will be eager to see is what happens to him in the fallout. There might be scope for ruination there.

LOL when have Purab-Pragya said that!! I like it. He did lack courage. Lacked courage to be himself and hurt daadi and deal with the consequences. Lacked courage to give up on his own wishes and be honest and live only per Daadi. Lacked courage to find his way out of the mess after he realized it was all a mistake.

And expecting much more is fair...but it's gonna be a long, irritating wait 😆

Mina ji.. Are you asking me when purab and pragya claimed abhi as a darbokh? During the scene where purab makes abhi realise his feelings for pragya post kidnapping track.. He says that "abhi you are a darbokh and egoistic" and during kidnapping track pragya calls him darbokh due to his bhoot bhoot drama if I am not wrong 😆

There was a scene where Abhi (post Pragya's confession and his subsequent run-around) feels overwhelmed and wants Dadi's reassurance - I wanted to see something like that where he at least tries to communicate his despair to Dadi. All I've seen is that he has been distancing himself from her...idk maybe the point is that Pragya is providing him with that emotional support now?
