Hey guys 😊

I am Harini and have been on this forum for sometime now but always as a silent reader .So now I thought I'll just write a short story on our favorite Abhigya as I happened to have an idea that might suit them . This is the first ever story I am attempting to pen down so your inputs are most welcome. Hope it is good enough and worth your time 😊

PS 1: I don't know to read Hindi as i haven't learnt the language ever and whatever Hindi i know now is only because of the numerous Hindi movies and serials that i have been watching the past few years 😆 I understand the language and can manage to talk if need be.So i have made minimal use of the language here so forgive me for grammatical errors,if any. I will make sure to improve going forward 😊

Background

As this is going to be a short story I didn't want to bring in any negativity here. So the characters from the show Abhigya, Rabul and Aliya will be retained . But Abhi will marry Pragya not to take revenge but only because Dadi chose her for him .They will decide to take their time and build their relationship starting with being friends. Now they are best friends but Pragya loves Abhi and hasn't confessed yet. Rabul meet in his office just like in the show and after confessing their feelings,get married with both family's acceptance.Aliya is positive in this story and so Purab is her very close friend and she really likes Pragya also .So now I will start the story 😊

Part One

It's a fine Sunday morning and after having a late breakfast with the family ,Abhi and Pragya come back to their room and decide to watch TV for sometime . They see Zindagi na milegi dobara featuring on Filmy and excitedly settle down on the bed to watch that.

After around an hour into the movie ,

Abhi says .." U know fuggy? I had a gang of three friends , during school. Rini,Anu and Vinay.. We always used to hang out together .. Purab was two year's junior to us but because I knew him even before I joined that school, we were a gang of five as he was always with us too..

Rini was the understanding one and used to put up with all our tantrums and random arguments and she was also the favourite in the gang. More like my younger sister, best friend to Anu and Vinay and older sis to Purab.

Vinay was more a brother to me, who was there always . Purab,Vinay and I had a lot of fun playing and inventing games till late into the night after the girls went home .

Anu was the funny one and she was always a bit slow in understanding the spontaneous comebacks from Rini and I during our arguments and so we always used to make fun of her. All in all , ours was one awesome gang .. Aliya got along well with all of them too ..We never hid anything from each other.. This movie reminded me of my friends..I miss them 😔"

Pragya : "Wow Abhi this is so sweet.. I knew only Purab till now though.. Where are those three? Are u guys not in touch?"

Abhi : "I don't know fuggy 😔 after school each of us had different priorities.. Rini wanted to do CA.. Anu wanted to get into fashion designing and Vinay wanted to be an engineer and u know what I am now 😉. So as we started chasing our dreams we had to travel to different cities and after the first five or so years after school we kind of lost touch 😔I even tried going to their place after few years but all of them have shifted and the present occupants don't have any idea about them .The last we knew about them some five years back was that Rini and Vinay were studying abroad and Anu was into fashion designing and in Delhi ..I feel bad even now as they can never be replaced and that was one of the best phases of my life.."

Pragya: "Hmm Purab also has no idea about them kya ? Atleast one of them ?"

Abhi : "No fuggy I don't think so .. We both moved here together because Purab wanted to help me with my music company and wanted to start up his own company too so I am not sure if he got to stay in touch either.."

Pragya :"I hope you get to meet them someday.. After listening to what you just told about them even I want to meet them now 😊.

Pragya happens to see the TV by chance and realises only around half an hour of the movie is left. She wants to cheer Abhi up and says "Abhi! You have a concert next week and you wanted to practice right? Chalo lets go"

Abhi: "Oh ya fuggy .. I totally forgot that with all this talk we had about my friends...and yes I hope I get to make you meet them someday.. you will like them too😊..lets go now"

Pragya mind voice:"Awesome chance now Pragya.. You have been thinking about what to do for Abhi's b'day next month right? Find these three friends somehow and make them talk to him on his b'day.. I am sure that will be the best surprise ever! 😊 I want to see that smile on your face when you see your friends Abhi..I will try my best to get in touch with them..this b'day will be your most memorable one "

Part Two

Pragya: "Purab..Purab.."

Purab: "Arey Pragya di aap? Kaise ho aap? Bhai kaisa hai?"

Pragya: "All fine Purab .. Mujhe tumse kuch poochna hai.. I tried calling you but your number was busy so thought i l come home and talk to you".

Bulbul enters the house and sees Pragya there and is all excited "Di!! When did you come? You didn't even tell me you are coming ! I am angry with you Di !By the way how are Jiju Aliya Dadi and all?"

Pragya: "All are good Bulbul . And I hadn't planned this visit , I just wanted to talk to Purab about something so decided all of a sudden and came here..sorry mujhe maaf karo na" *holds ears and has a puppy face*..

Bulbul melts at that .. How can she ever be angry with her darling Di 😆

Bulbul: "Theek hai koi baath nahi. Anyway I l get you guys something to drink"

Pragya turns to Purab .."Purab, Abhi and I were talking yesterday and he was telling me about your gang of friends Rini,Vinay and Anu and how now you guys aren't in contact with them. He feels really bad about it Purab and I want to do something about it.. So meine socha why not find them somehow and give him a surprise this bday.. I really want to see his face when he sees them Purab..will u help me ?"

Purab: "Wow di! Rini di, Vinay bhai aur Anu di! Omg what times those were di.. So stupid of all of us to not find a way to stay in touch.. We were all so held up with our own lives that time that the initial conversations soon after school gradually reduced and finally all went to different places and now we are regretting 😔 . But this is a brilliant idea di! Abhi will be so happy !! How do we start though ?"

Just then Bulbul enters with juice and snacks and they brief her about their conversation . She gets all excited and decides to help them in this 'Mission - Finding Friends' 😃

Pragya: "When was the last time you heard about them /from them and where were they?Abhi was mentioning about Rini and Vinay studying abroad and Anu staying in Delhi. Do you know more details ?"

Purab:"Rini Di wanted to do CA so after school she took that up, cleared that and then decided to study abroad.. She got an admit from London school of business and that was the last thing I heard about her.

Vinay bhai wanted to do engineering so after finishing that he went to do his MS in Wisconsin university as far as I know ..

Anu Di wanted to do fashion designing and after finishing her course she joined some fashion house in Delhi .

But all this was around three years back Di and we don't know what they are up to now 😭 "

Pragya: "Arey Purab! Look at the brighter side.. You know this much na !! Let's start with Anu because she was in Delhi according to you people.. You know which company she joined ?"

Purab: "I think it was Khurana fashions Di, I am not sure as soon after Anu di went to Delhi she changed her number and we didn't have that with us ."

Pragya: "Chalo lets find their office number and call them.."

They find the number online and Pragya calls the office and is told that Anu left that company one and a half years ago and joined elsewhere.. When Pragya asks if she could contact anyone who was close to Anu ,initially she is refused personal details but after requesting for a long time is given the number of one Ms.Radhika who was Anu's roommate. Pragya thanks the person profusely and decides to call Radhika.

Pragya: "Hello..Radhika?"

Radhika: "Yes may I know who is speaking?"

Pragya:"Hi Radhika this is Pragya.. Rockstar Abhi's wife.. Just wanted to know if you know where your room mate Anu currently is , because she is Abhi's friend and I wanted to talk to her.."

Radhika: "Oh wow THE Rockstar's wife ? Hi ma'am please tell your husband I am his reallly big fan! Anu was his friend ?omg I didn't know !! And the last I know about Anu is that she shifted to khanna fashions in Mumbai after she quit from here ma'am"

Pragya: "I will definitely let my husband know that he has a verrry big fan in Delhi by name Radhika! And wow in Mumbai ? Do you have her contact details or some way that I can contact her?"

Radhika: "Just a minute ma'am I will give you the number that I have.." And she gives her the number.

Pragya: "Thanks a lot Radhika! You don't know how big a help this is! And please come home when you come to Mumbai, rockstar will be happy to meet his die hard fan 😊 bye"

And Pragya,,Purab and Bulbul hi-fied each other and called the number that was supposedly Anu's ,hoping it should be her..

Part Three

Purab calls the number that Radhika has given Pragya and someone picks up after five rings

Purab: "Hello .. Anu Di?"

Anu: "Ya Anu here who is this?"

Purab is so excited that he literally shouts "Diii this is Purab!! yaad hai aapko? Abhi ka dosth and aap sab ka chota bhai bhi"

Pragya and Bulbul are very happy knowing that they have found Anu at last..

Anu who couldn't believe her ears is so happy and says "Purab tum?! Omg Purab it's been so long !! How are you and how is Abhi?! Omg omg I can't believe this ! Where are you now and how did u find my number??"

Purab :"Di I am fine and Abhi is great! Got your number from your ex-roomie Radhika 😊 Waise aapko patha hai na humara Abhi aur rockstar Abhi dono same hai??"

Anu is just like Pragya from the show and she doesn't like rock music and so never bothered to follow this 'Abhi-The Music Sensation's songs despite knowing the craze people had for his music. She regretted that at this moment because had she known it was her best friend Abhi she would've been there in all his shows whether she liked it or not !

She tells Purab her state and then Purab tells her she is just like Pragya Di who despite being his wife didn't like his music initially.. Then he briefs her on Pragya Di's plan and they decide to meet up in a cafe nearby to talk in detail.

At the cafe:

Purab and Anu hug each other when Anu enters and later Purab introduces Bulbul and Pragya to Anu .Pragya and Anu really like each other.Then Anu tells them about how she moved to Mumbai ,fell in love with an architect here and married him and has a two year old kid..

Purab tells her about his and Bulbul's love story and Abhi and Pragya's wedding.

Anu : "Rini will be so happy to hear this Purab! She has been missing her Abhi bhai a lot "

Purab : "Di you are in contact with Rini Di?? Wow this is awesome ! Where is she and how is she ? Why didn't you guys try reaching Abhi, Di? He is the rockstar and is famous and all. You didn't know it was him okay but Rini Di also didn't know kya?😔"

Anu : "Ya Purab actually even I wasn't in touch with Rini after she went to London .. Then one day I happened to find her mail ID when scrolling through our old conversations and mailed her but never got a reply. Sometime last year she replied saying this was her old mail ID and so she hasn't been using it and missed seeing my mail. We are in contact ever since . After finishing studies in London she started working in an audit firm there. Came to Bangalore just three months back and got married last month. We kept talking about how nice it would've been if you guys had come to the wedding . Rini was abroad mostly after school and after coming back she had a hectic time with all the wedding preparations, getting to know the place and getting settled in her in-laws place so I guess she didn't actually have the time to look for Abhi or know that he is the singer.Actually we don't know what Vinay is doing now and where he is either😔"

All chat happily for a while.They tell Pragya and Bulbul all funny incidents that happened back in school.

Anu: "Purab,you remember how we argued to come up with a name for our group and finally zeroed in on 'PARVA' being the first letters of all our names?😃"

Purab : "Haha yeah Di and Abhi being Abhi immediately googled and found that it meant 'Strong' in english and all that 😃"

Anu then calls Rini and after the usual initial chat Anu tells her about Purab, Pragya and their plan.Rini is so very excited that she will be meeting all of them and her dearest Abhi bhai after so long. She then talks to Purab and Purab is too happy to talk to his favourite sister and Rini and Pragya have a nice conversation too. Rini agrees to come to Mumbai with her husband, a day before Abhi's birthday.

Meanwhile Abhi finishes his meeting with a client and goes back home and finds fuggy isn't there.. After a while he starts missing her and decides to call her and ask where she is. Pragya sees Abhi's call and asks everyone to keep quiet as she doesn't want him to get even the slightest bit of doubt ..

Abhi: "Oye fuggy kahan ho tum?"

Pragya: "Hi to you too Abhi.. I came to meet bulbul cos it's been a really long time ..was just chatting with her and lost track of time .. Kyun? Missing me?"

She asked this before she could stop herself and Abhi also said "Yeah obviously missing you. Jaldi aao " and cut the call.

Only after the call do they both realise what happened. Pragya is very happy that Abhi agreed that he missed her, without adding any "Mera matlab hai, Dadi was asking where you are and she is missing you.. " etc 😆- because Abhi the rockstar accepting something like this was close to impossible..Though she loves him she hasn't confessed so she was happy with Abhi's reply now.. And Abhi was confused as to how he readily said yes without even thinking for a moment.."I know fuggy is my best friend now but why is it that I have started feeling differently the past couple of days whenever I think about her or talk to her ?"..

(Arey Abhi beta you are falling in love with your fuggy😃..hope you understand that before the end of this story😛)

All then tease pragya for blushing after talking to Abhi and Anu can't wait to meet him soon.
