CHAPTER 8
Pragya with her glasses foggy thought she saw abhi, he walk towards her and hug her while glaring at the goons. Feeling relax she leans back in his arm still in shock "she is my wife, if anyone touch her again i will personally send you to jail." he says letting go of her making her snap out of whatever dream she was in.
the goons just laugh at him and tries to attack him, pragya watch as the lean tall man dodge and kick the other guys sending them back, the leader grab a stick and tries to hit him from the back but he side step and grab his hand squeezing it tightly. "this will be the last time i will tell you, leave before i call the police." he says twisting the leader's arm, making him wince in pain.
The other guys looking at him, got up and scram, not even thinking twice. the guy sighs with relief and let go of the leader, who glares at him with hate before running away himself. sighing the man fix his clothes and turn to pragya. When she turn around she was hoping to see abhi, but she was disappointed once again, she watch as the guy walk towards her and stood in front of her. "are you ok miss?" he asks
The man was expecting an answer from her, but he didnt expect her to faint.
Earlier
A young man in his twenties, was in the airport pushing his luggage, He smiles seeing his sister name on his phone. he picks it up and says hello
"brother, finally your back. should i make your favorite food when i come home? or maybe buy your favorite snack? or-" she ramble
"wow slow down, I don't want you to over work yourself since you have work to do" he says making her frown
"I can do it later, but for right now i'm so excited. We can do the things we use to do like old times." he says
making the man smile, while thinking about the good times, " yeah, by the way how is mom and dad doing?"
"their doing fine, they'll be so happy to see you, so hurry up dave" she says
"i will" he said before hanging up
The man now known as dave, went to his car and puts his luggage inside. After that he quickly ran inside his car so his clothes wouldn't get wet. He start his car and drove home, while driving he noticed the traffic was very long, so he asks the gps to find a shortcut. once he found it he made some turns and head straight, when he came to a corner he saw a young women being harassed by some goons. He could see her discomfort and her clothes becoming a see through, frowning he watch as they torment her and touch her hair, he quickly got out and heard them ask about her husband.
smiling he decides to have a little fun, after all he hasn't fought in a long time. He walk towards them smiling and says he's her husband than he walk towards the girl and wrap his arm around her. he was surprise to see her lean against his chest.
End of flashback
While all this was going on abhi was watching this from his window, he bold his fist in anger and told the driver to drive leaving pragya in the arms of a complete stranger.
Dave puts pragya in his car before going to the driver seat, he looks at her while wondering what he was gonna do, after all he didn't know her or where she lives. turning back to his seat he decides to take her to his house. When he reached his house he parked and lifts pragya taking her inside his house.
"BROTHER!" his sister screams happily going to him, but stopped when she saw him holding someone in his arm
worried she looks at her brother " what happened to her?"
"i found her on the road being harassed he says before taking her to the guest room, his sister brought her mom saree for her to change into when she wakes up and a towel. dave thanks her and heads to his room to change, once he finished he walks out and hug his sister " ah.. you've grown so much"
"yup, i'm not a baby anymore" she says shyly
"really... we'll see about that, once i eat your cooking" he says playfully
"i improved alot" she says dragging him to the table before sitting down, they both ate while catching up on things they mist than when they finished they decide to head to bed
Elsewhere, bulbul was worried, she was sure her sister was done with teaching by now. She look at her phone and call her again, but she didn't pick up. "where are you didi?" she says concern
she walks in the living room and saw her mom worried, she turns toward bulbul and asks her about her sister, "shes not picking up my calls" she says
"its not like pragya to ignore our calls" she says before adding " do you think something happened to her, after all the rain is very heavy today" she says tense
bulbul thought about it, she totally forgot about the rain and how heavy it might be "maybe shes staying at school until the rain stops" she says convincing herself
"you're right, but i don't want her to stay out there all night, Maybe i should call abhi to pick her up"
"NO! " she practically screams
"why not?"
"I-I-I'm sure abhi busy with his concert, we don't want him to worry over nothing" she says nervously
sarla thought about it before agreeing with her, so decided she went to her room to rest , while leaving bulbul sigh with relief " i'm sorry mom, but abhi can't know where pragya works. He might cause her trouble there" she says not knowing that he already did
The next day, pragya woke up feeling weak and hungry, she sat up and look around the room. looking around she realise she don't know where shes at, just when she was about to speak the door opens " i brought you some soup, since my brother said you have a fever" she says closing the door
She turn around and was shock to see none other than her professor. "professor?" she says
"rani?... what are you doing here?" she asks confuse
"I live here" she says setting the tray down by the dresser
" ok, but how did i get here" she asks trying to remember, but her memories were a little foggy
"my brother save you" she says
"oh...where is he so i can thank him"
Just when rani was about to answer dave walks in, looking at his guest he smiles warmly at her.
"i see you're awake, you scared me for a second their miss" he says
" i'm sorry , and thank you for saving me" she says bowing
dave chuckle and sat next to her " its no trouble, i was just doing the right thing" he says before becoming serious " you should take more care of your health miss, especially since you're expecting" he says making her mouth drop and her glasses hanging on her cute nose

"So he's the reason why you divorce me" he says drunkenly before slamming the glass in his room

pragya is seen being romance by abhi
"I love you..abhi" she says watching him sleep

"what are you doing abhi" pragya says
"i'm here to make sure you stick to your promise, to tell sarla the truth" he says
"i can't tell her abhi, you know that"
sarla overhearing them says "tell me what?"
