OMG!!!! DT Rem p8 - Page 5

This show is amusing at certain parts. I haven't watched the latest episode so sorry if my post is inconsistent with it. I've read that Tannu, Abhi and Pragya teams up to hide her from Daadi and I like the dynamic they represented. It doesn't matter how they all feel about each other but at time in need, they are willing to team up. I like that the characters aren't completely negative or wholly positive. They are somewhere in between. I don't know how you guys see Pragya but after watching Monday's episode I think that girl has serious issues to deal with. What I don't get the inconsistency in her character. When she is alone with Abhi she has the guts to give him back. But the moment she is surrounded with people, she starts trembling. And it is so sad to see that. Like on Monday's episode when he came nwar her, she started to move awwy nervously trying to protect herself. Why is she afraid when she is surrounded with people. He can't harm her with witness. But she is not that afraid of him when they are in the room where he could actuallu hurr her. I don't know if the writers are trying to say something or maybe I am just thinking to much of something that's not even there. And as Pragya helping Abhi to hide Tannu is not lack of self-respect but out of humanity. That is just the kind of person she is unfortunately, at least that's how I see it. If she is willing to lie to her mom, she also is willing to hide Tannu for daadi's sake. It is not the right way, but it is what it is.

And saying that, I do agree that a beautiful Show and characters are ruined with this never ending MU. I wish it ended in a right way after Purab eloping. Since then, this show has been doing everything but progressing and further developing the story. I just really2 hope that Pragya doesn't fall for him first, not with the way the show is going.

I could just as easily say if you're tired of the criticism, to stop reading these threads. There are no dearth of threads to read on this forum, right? But that wouldn't be fair. It isn't for me to decide when it's right for a person to stop reading threads of criticism about the show. That's up to the individual forum user to decide when he or she has had enough.

Even Pragya knows Abhi is all talk no action. Do you really think he would stab Pragya? He carried a hurt Pragya in his arms for miles in the jungle episodes.

Extramarital affair- technically yes! But AbhIGya marriage doesn't exist for Abhi. So I don't know what to say about that.

In one episode, one of the dadis was talking about her own marriage. She said early on she and her husband fought too, but that helped get all the bitterness out. Then later on, there was much love between them.

@Tia Abhi's actions are utterly unwarranted in a rational and realistic universe. I can't comprehend why you are so adamant in your determination to defend his actions. Just because abhi's character is played by shabbir doesn't necessarily mean that s his actions are harmless. The shallowness of his character is a testamont to the weak and immature writing by the cvs

Ash & LKB, totally agree with what you have written. I cannot stand Abhi as a hero anymore. It disgusts me that he treats Pragya the way he does, he is an arrogant jerk with no sense of fairness or morality but with a mammoth sized ego. Pragya is highly irritating as well, her taking everything he dishes out is pukeworthy and if she falls for a man like Abhi, I would definitely look to Freud for an excuse. The show started with great promise but has wilted by the wayside.

Ash, you said it right, does not matter which part of the universe one lives in, abuse is abuse, no two ways about it. And the message that is being spread by this show, popular or not, is appalling. Idiot husband abuses wife, equally stupid wife tolerates it because she is the embodiment of wifely, daughter in law material, so there we go again propagating that the fairer sex is the weaker sex because the fairer sex has no option but to bear all that is shoved down their way. But wait, let us not forget that one saving grace, the woman is living up to an ideal and so she will definitely be amply rewarded in the end when said man will celebrate her goodness in all its glory. All he deserves is that swift kick in his pants, as LKB wrote. A man who treats his wife with scant regard and publicly humiliates her and privately abuses her is no gentleman, he is neither funny nor childlike, he is verily a scoundrel in my eyes.
