Chapter 6:

Ashu felt , he is now ready not to bid good bye but start over from scratch, trying, struggling to breaks free from the past which held him like prisoner for so long. He started to look beyond those deserted past..he wandered around for some time and suffered heart break .now he decided to let it go so that he can restart , so that he can love and be loved again…!

Ashu turned towards nidhi who looked so immersed in driving but he recognized small smile creeping in her eyes, her lips stretched to replace grin ….her dark hairs flowing down her back making her look even more beautiful . His heart skipped a beat while looking at her angelic face; he felt happy, peaceful and content just to be near her ...he closed his eyes to cherish this moment and looked out as cold wind ruffled his hair. ..He let the feeling sink in, he just let it!

Nidhi looked at his face for a long time; she saw his closed eye lids and the sloppy smile plastered on his face. She wondered "Can anyone look as adorable as him! " , she thought this man who seems to be hard stone from outside , how vulnerable he is !She felt a sudden urge to run her hand through his dark hair, to touch his closed eyes ..

Ashu opened his eyes to find nidhi gazing at him intently.

Nidhi: 10 more minutes..You will reach !

Ashu just smiled back

Nidhi: so someone finally decided to move on.

Ashu: No someone finally decided to let it go…

Nidhi; then someone should know both are one and the same!

Ashu chuckled "someone is already starving! When can this someone come to pick his lady for dinner?"

Now it was nidhi turn to chuckle " ohh, I dint knew that someone is interested in food more than dating!"

Ashu grinned, by that time they were near ashu's place. Ashu got down and informed nidhi that he will be coming at 7 to pick her ! Nidhi smiled and started her car ….

Evening Ashu was getting ready when nidhi called "listen, I want you to wear the shirt which you wore when you met me first ..ok!"

Ashu: why? I mean …why that shirt particularly

Nidhi; because I asked you to do so…

Ashu: but why are you asking for that shirt particularly

Nidhi: because I want you to wear it …

Ashu: nidhi...but why??

Nidhi: because I said so….now will you hurry!

Ashu: are you always so bossy …

Nidhi no..Only with you! ….

Ashu chuckled hearing her last statement that she already started bossing around him.

When he went to pick her to find nidhi already standing .She was wearing purple color kurtha with white color leggings. Nidhi smiled brightly when she saw his car coming towards her. She got inside and soon they were on their way to first dinner date.

Ashu already booked table for 2 and when they arrived waiter guided them to their table. Nidhi looked around to find whole restaurant is decorated with antic pieces with pictures of raja , maharajas and thick red curtains hanging to give rich royal look .

Nidhi beamed in appreciation looking around. She was still lost looking around when ashu interrupted her "so , looks like you are liking this place!"

Nidhi: yes …it's good!

Just then waiter came to take order. Both of them placed order .

Ashu:, so nidhi…what you like other than bossing around

Nidhi snorted "so you think am very bossy?"

Ashu: you are …!

Nidhi: ok fine. Then why you agree to whatever I ask you to do.

Ashu: because I like you bossing me around.

Nidhi smiled hearing what he just said!

Ashu: you dint answered my question !

Nidhi: what question?

Ashu; what you like other than bossing around….

Nidhi: butterfly

Ashu looked around in confusion ..."where "

Nidhi: what ?

Ashuthosh: Nidhi … butterfly!

Nidhi: that is my answer to your question, I like to study butterfly…they fascinate me you see!

Ashu : what you like so much about them ?

Nidhi: they are really cool…do you know there cold blooded insects..I mean to say their blood is cold …they have to warm up their wings in order to fly! And the second best thing I like about is they are very colorful

Ashu: where you study them?

Nidhi: Every Sunday I go out , I know few people who are as mad as me when it comes to butterfly ….!

Ashu: but I don't find them anywhere in city …how can you find them when every inch of this city crowded with people

Nidhi: first of all , they are least bothered about humans …they never acknowledge our presence !

Ashu: they seems to be very self absorbed…

Nidhi Chuckled "no , not as much as human though and secondly they are everywhere …if you really search for them ..you will find them , colorful , lively beautiful creatures they are !"

Ashu pondered over her sentence "if you really search for them .you will find them, colorful, lively beautiful creatures they are !" when he heard her say …its nidhi who came in his mind ..its her face flashed in his mind 'colorful , lively beautiful nidhi…!

He smiled as he thought about it

Just then Waiter came with food and served them both. Soon they became silent as both of them got busy with food which is served to them…

Ashu: hmmm….its good isn't it! Its been so long that I ate this chicken dish..

Nidhi: you like chicken ….?

Ashu nodded his head " so all butterfly good? I mean are they all …"

Nidhi: No…there are some … they suck human blood.

Ashu; you mean to say vampire butterfly

Nidhi; not a bad name though…

Nidhi smilingly looked to find ashu struggling with his piece of chicken "Ashuthosh, what are you doing?"

Ashu: well you see , I don't know how to eat chicken with bone piece ….

Nidhi quickly took his plate." here let me help you out" and using fork neatly sorted so that he can eat

Nidhi" now …here is your chicken ! you finish this by that time I will keep few more pieces ready for you ..Now eat"

Ashu: but nidhi…what about you ..I

Nidhi: I am already full…doing worry about me!

It was late when they both finished, in the end nidhi ordered some chocolate ice cream which she shared with ashu …and soon they left as it was getting late.

Nidhi: drop me at anjie's place ….we are having pajama party tonight at her place!

Ashu: anjie! …?

Nidhi: oh sorry , you haven't met her …She is my best friend, ok take right turn from here and go straight.

Ashu: So what and all you do in pajama party ?

Nidhi: nothing in particular, Anjie will prepare some pop corn and we sit in front of TV wearing one of our oldest pajama and watch some romantic flicks …its fun

Ashu chuckled when like small kid nidhi explained him about her plans!

When they reached anjie's place Ashu got down and opened door for Nidhi, She got down and turned to him…she took his hands and looked deep into his eyes "thank you for such a wonderful evening Ashuthosh ". Ashu smiled "pleasure is mine …! ". Nidhi nodded her head and turned her back to him , after taking few steps , she stopped in middle and turned around ,came back to him… hesitatingly ...then slowly looking into his eyes she placed her hand right on top of his heart ,,,as if she trying to feel it , trying to hear rhythmic sound of his heart ….he felt as if something deep within stirred ..he felt as if new dream took shape and conceived in him…he tried to read her expression , what was it ? what is she trying to do …is she feeling the same as him ? he never felt like this before , its something new , something deep and overwhelming …capturing his senses ..he looked at her deep brown eyes and found him loosing in them .

And then abruptly she took her hand back and turned away from him. She walked over, leaving him behind, leaving him in delusion that whatever happened few minutes before never really happened!
