Ashu stared at her disappearing figure. He lowered his eyes and breathed in; he let the feeling rule over his senses. Then he looked up once again to find she is gone! And the silence that followed is unbearable. He wished to go back in time, he wished to reach out and grab her hand?But now she was gone ?!

That night he dreamed that he is running in maze rotating in circles?with each passing second he can feel sadness building up, restlessness creeping in his head ?he waited with batted breath for the time when he has to face him, face the boy with dark hair and a mole on his chin?he look up at cloudy sky, it look so grey and sad?.and then as if a miracle, clouds flow away and he can see bright sky .sun bright as ever, reflecting in his eyes. He looks up to find the place flourishing with life. And then he see them ?hundreds of them! In million different colors, brandishing their presence they encircle him ?as he whisper with joy "colorful, lively ?beautiful creatures they are"

Ashu got up with a start to find his mobile ringing. He smiled looking at caller ID "Nidhi, good morning ?.so how was your pajama party?"

Nidhi: Ohh it was so good ?we had a blast! ?listen tell me one thing

Ashu: what?

Nidhi" if 4 out of 5 people suffer from diarrhea. Does that mean 5^th one enjoys it?

Ashu; what?? ?you want me to answer this question. I mean how do I know?

Nidhi: what do you mean by "how do I know"? ?you are a doctor...you should be knowing this

Ashu: you called me to ask this ?..At this time?

Nidhi chuckled after hearing his annoyed tone." Ok sorry, no need to be annoyed for such a small thing ?I called to tell that I am getting lunch for you , so you are having lunch with me today?"

Ashu: is this order or a request?

Nidhi: 'Order of course ?ok now I have to go, wait for me ok "and she is gone even before ashu could open his mouth.

He thought with Nidhi life is going to be one hell of a ride ?

Ashu found his life changed after nidhi's arrival.Well in a good way ?he sensed she don't use big words or even try to put it in words to express what he is for her ..What he really meant to her. A small smile, a simple gesture that's all she need?and he is perfectly fine with that ?he found its very easy to please her but very difficult to refuse when she ask for something ?but sometime she is more like enigma, a puzzle which he don't understand? there is something which she keep hidden within herself, may be in knot of pain and emptiness ?she never show it and sometime fail to hide it! And when he gaze in those deep brown eyes, her lips stretch with huge grin. Her smile is so warm and welcoming that it reach till his heart making him glow with sudden happiness.

Ashu got ready and drive towards hotel where nidhi is waiting for him. He came inside smilingly towards nidhi; he was wearing jeans with full sleeved shirt. With his messy dark hair and with those brooding eyes he looked even more handsome. Nidhi observed one or eyes lit up when he entered, she felt kind of irritation with the mere thought of someone else looking at him. Unaware of all these ashu came and sat next to her. She was still in miffed off mood , looking at her sulking expression ashu muttered to no one in particular

"She never told her love,
But let concealment, like a worm i'th' bud,
Feed on her damask cheek. She pined in thought,
And with a green and yellow melancholy
She sat like Patience on a monument,
Smiling at grief. Was not this love indeed?"

Nidhi: ohhh?What was that?!

Ashu: that's shakesphere ?its from his play Twelfth night !

Nidhi: So doctor saab is interested in literature apart from medicine, Interesting!

Ashu smiled

Nidhi: "Love is a smoke made with the fumes of sighs;
Being purged, a fire sparkling in lovers' eyes;
Being vexed, a sea nourished with lovers' tears;
What is it else? A madness most discreet,
A choking gall, and a preserving sweet."

Ashu: ohh I dint knew that even Ms verma is interested in literature?.! So is it true?"

Nidhi : what is true ?

Ashu: what you just said about love!

Nidhi: do you know , its scientifically proven that falling in love is nothing but chemical imbalance in ones brain !

Ashu looked up as nidhi continued " ohh they said , its nothing but dopamine which trigger craving and desire for a person in ones brain ?"

Ashu: if brain is doing everything, and then why we a have heart?? ?

Nidhi: so you believe in love ?

Ashu: I believe, always believed?.if not why I will be such a big fan of shakesphere . I don't believe love is just some chemical imbalance ?I believe its something which keep one going , keep one to be better ?it is something to be appreciated and preserved !

Nidhi looked up at his handsome face, into his eyes to find everything he said reflecting in them.That he really meant it?she thought , is their anything which can help her stop falling for this man, anything which will make her stop loving this man ?she sighed hard and looked away !

While going back in taxi, ashu found her very silent and more into herself?She sat in far corner gazing out into darkness, he saw same pain and same emptiness lingering in those eyes ?a mixture of mischief and pure melancholy! There is a depth which he can't reach ?he became more restless with the mere thought that she is pain that something is bothering her ? he felt her pain touch his heart just like her happiness do, he wished he can take the pain awy from her ,he wished that he can make her smile ? nidhi turned and looked at him and whispered " I am not feeling well , do you mind if I keep my head on your shoulder a bit " ashu smiled and extend his arm ..She slid up to him, he enveloped her with his left hand pulling her even more close?curling her whole body like a baby..She buried her face in his chest?and she drifted to sleep hearing rhythmic sound of his heart.

Ohh thank you dear ...😳

Thank you ...ashu drive karke nidhi ko hug kaise kar paayega esliye maine do no ko cab main bhej diya😆... thoda adjustment tho banta hai ...fitction hai 😆
