After dropping nidhi, Ashu came back just then arman called him to ask whether he liked her. Ashu just replied curtly that he is not interested in this marriage and asked arman not to force him anymore. Suddenly Ashu felt exhausted ,he felt like talking to someone as her words kept on reverberating in his mind .." you must have saved lot of life" he couldn't stop cursing himself one more time remembering that night .

He picked up his mobile and called his baba

Ashu : baba , How are you ?

Baba: ashu , everything Ok beta? What are you doing so late? …Arman was telling that you went out to meet some girl …you liked her !

Ashu: baba !! not you again please ….

Baba: Ashu , its time you get married …I know after mallika exit , its been hard for you …I know you feel difficult to trust people but ….

Ashu: baba , it has nothing to do with mallika ..I know and accepted long back that it's over between me and mallika.

Baba: then why ashu ? what are you planning to do ….i want to see you getting married and enjoying your life . I am your baba , don't you think I deserve to see my son's happiness.

Ashu just sighed hard as he don't know what to respond tot his question

Ashu : baba , I am happy now …See I have good job , nice place to stay ..and I have arman and neha ..and more importantly I have you .

Baba: ashu how far , I will come with you …and arman and neha , yes they love you , they consider you as their own but don't you think in the end you will be alone when everyone get busy with their own life .

Ashu : baba,you don't worry about me …I am fine and happy here .

Baba: Ok ashu , I don't force you for anything ..I just worry that you don't left alone I just want to see you leading happy life ..that's all I want !

After that Ashu spoke a while with his baba, discussing about the new project he is driving and about his highly intelligent student. In the end he felt bit relaxed and he rolled on his bed to sleep.

It was over a week since he met nidhi! it was Friday he got up really early to prepare notes and while eating breakfast suddenly he remembered nidhi, he remembered the way she smiled and he thought when she smile, it reach till her eyes expressing all the joy she is captivating inside .when suddenly he remembered her final words which is enough to flush the smile out of his face… he stumbled from where he is sitting and moved to get ready .

That day ashu had to go to another college as a guest lecture to share his views on topic "clinical manifestation and diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome". By the time he reached, his eyes were burning since he could not sleep much prev night because of his constant night mares. He thought if he continues to be like this no wonder he will turn insane and soon someone should come to cure this neurosurgeon.

it was evening by the time he finished with his lecture. And then he had to stay back as principal asked him to join for dinner...ashu couldn't refuse so by the time he finished with dinner , it was clearly late.

Ashu came out and moved towards his car. He shivered a bit as cold wind swept through him. He looked up towards sky hoping to see stars but he found none. When he was a kid , it was his fav past time ..he used sit hours recognizing different constellations and stars And sometime his baba used to come up with interesting stories about people and places he visited.He sighed hard as he thought life was so simple those days , not much expectation , not much heart breaks . Just then he saw some one moving just few inches away from him.

He turned around to find girl with her back to his side, staring at empty sky. He tried to ignore but something in her posture made him go to her. When he went near, heard small whimpering sound as if she is struggling really hard not to cry…he was standing and staring at her when she turned towards his side.

He froze for a second as he saw it was no one but nidhi, all alone standing in this deserted street with tears running down her cheeks

Suddenly he heard himself speak "nidhi, what's wrong? Why are you crying …..Nidhi is everything fine!" as a reflex action he came and hugged her tightly as if to console her , as if its most natural thing to do ..As if he knows only this way he can protect her from whatever she is dealing with.

After few minutes even nidhi turned and hugged him back still sobbing, whimpering. While clutching his back and snuggling even more close to him.

Sorry sorry , I am kind of lost as how to take it forward so i came up with small chapter . Thank you for liking my FF dear 😃
