Ashu could not believe that arman nearly hijacked and dragged him to meet this girl. He was so angry and flushed to find him sitting in some resto waiting for some girl. He sat there waiting and sometime sipping mineral water just to cool his over stressed brain. For once he thought of getting up and just to get lost from this place then changed his mind and sat. Muttering to himself that he will just meet this girl and leave as soon as he can.

Its not that he don't want to get married but he feel its too late now and he don't think he can give anything in return to anyone after whatever happened between him and mallika .there was so much heart break when both of them chose to fall apart. Even though it was mutual decision somewhere ashu felt cheated and hurt when mallika left him.

Ashu was about to get up and move out when he saw her coming towards his table. She was wearing parrot green colored top with dark black jeans which is showing every curve of her body< and ashu suddenly recognized she is very young must be not more than 25.he lowered his eyes and waited for her to come over..

Nidhi just looked at him once and moved towards with fake smile plastered on her face. She extended her hand and spoke "hello, so you must be Ashuthosh .The guy I am supposed to meet hmm, I am nidhi …Nidhi verma?" Ashu nodded his head and looked at her and then he saw it, her eyes they were dangerously beautiful but the same time something hollow in those eyes, he saw a mixture of mischief and pure melancholy in those eyes . …he looked away with awkward smile sensing that he was literally staring at her.

No one spoke for a second, ashu just kept on sipping his mineral water in order to avoid him from looking in those eyes. Then out of the blue nidhi spoke " I want to clear few things "

Ashu looked at her and nodded in affirmation to continue

Nidhi: Well ..i mean I am not ….ready to this marriage …hmmm I am not ready for any relationship right now …I mean we don't even know each other …Well I came here because arman sir and neha are very close to our family and my baba trust them a lot …and when they asked me to meet you ..i could not say No to them nor to my baba …..umm …I am sorry but I am just not ready to this …I hope you understand"

Ashu felt disappointment wash over him as he heard her …he was amazed and literally got irritated with himself that why the hell he is feeling bad when she refused ..he must be happy …well that's what he also wanted ..that she will refuse to this relationship…

He was still thinking when nidhi coughed to get his attention…Ashu gave her awkard smile and replied " sorry , I was just ….Hmm well I mean..Even I was not ready for this ..My friend arman dragged me to meet you … even I was apprehensive that how I will tell you that I am not ready to this…and you are still very young and I am already 35 , we have age difference of 10 years nearly ..So "

Nidhi looked at him angrily …and spoke "Are you telling that I am not good for you !!! "

Ashu flushed hearing her comment and replied "Ohh no no , I dint mean that way ..hmm what I mean to say is , you are beautiful ..Really beautiful and good but I feel you deserve someone much younger and much better than me "

Nidhi: are you flirting with me?

Ashu: what? No …what made you think so

Nidhi: because you just said I am beautiful….

Ashu exhaled and sat with muted expression looking at that , suddenly nidhi burst out laughing and he saw when she smile her nose wrinkle a bit making her face even more adorable.

He couldn't stop looking at her, he jerked out of daze when nidhi smilingly replied " ohh I dint knew that you are so easy to tease ..I was just kidding and haan thank you for the wonderful compliment "

Ashu just smiled in return

Nidhi : so shall we have dinner since we are here ?

Ashu nodded his head and he called the waiter to place the order.

While they were having dinner, nidhi looked up to find him neatly putting napkin on his lap and setting his plate with perfection.

Nidhi just smiled and spoke:"so you are doctor huh?..

Ashu: yes , I used to be …but I left that job and now am teaching ..hmm now I am HOD in neurology dept in manasa gangothri college .its time for me to pass my knowledge and share my experience with young students who aspire to be better doctors.

Nidhi : Interesting ! well then when you were doctor , you must have saved lot of life then ..!!"

As Ashu heard what she just said , he felt sharp stabbing pain , he heard his inner voice taunting him "yes he saved many life but he failed to save one when it was most needed "

Nidhi saw sudden change in his expression, the shy smile which was there before suddenly vanished to replace with grief.

After that nidhi tried a lot but he kept his silence and he spoke whenever needed.

After the dinner, ashu told that he will drop her home as it's already late and nidhi agreed without any fuss .

That night while sleeping, he dreamt that He is in KGH sitting in his cabin, he can hear muffle cry, like gurgle coming from someone's throat. He got up and ran outside, in those deserted corridors of KGH.he worry and search for everyone but no one is around. Whole KGH seems to be deserted …he call out for ranganath but to find his own voice echoing by intensifying the silence and then he see him .The boy covered in blood and bruises .Slowly moving towards him. Ashu held him close and take him to ER …before closing his eyes, boy mutter "please save me ..Please don't let me die …please ".and then he see ECG showing straight line indicating his death. Ashu freeze, he look at that boy …he look at his young face. He feel a sob erupting from deep within, while standing he listened this weird and sub-human voice and then he realized its coming from him , from his inside that he is howling , grieving, sobbing for the boy he doesn't even know!
