But yeah..he's the sole constant in Ashu's life like DaiJa is in Viren's.

And the one time in the show he loses his temper with Ashu..when Armaan leaves, just before Ashu accepts his love for Nidhi in front of Armaan... he yells at Ashu for pushing everyone away, that scene was reminiscent of Daija pulling up Viren for being selfish..aap bahut manmaani karne lage hain Viren...when she realizes Pooja's heart is broken!

Yep. .totally 😳 n in a way .. Kaka was the one who gave inputs to Nidhi about Ashu πŸ˜‰ n Dai ja was the one.. who made Pooja always believe that... Kunwarji was her fairytale wale RAJ KUNWARJI

'gudiya rani.. bitiya rani.. pariyon ki nagri se ek din.. RAJ KUNWARJI aayenge' 😍

I remember reading somewhere that Sri's mom was terminally sick and she was close to losing her while shooting for this movie... and she did those rip-roaringly funny scenes with Prem then!! What a true professional!! Honestly if I can think of any actress who excelled in comedy it has to be Sridevi..(remember the chaplin scene in Mr India?) No one else comes even close, maybe Juhi!

Great post Tanu... I have remembered so many good memories of my life...
Being a south Indian, I have grown up watching Sridevi and admired her as number 1 heroine.
And during my school time Anil Kapoor was my favorite. So When I watched LAmhe, I was so attracted to this movie because it had both my favorite actors at that time. Till today I remember each and every scene in it.
Every one here already quoted the similarities... I agree with each of them. The innocent love portrayed by Pooja is very much similar to Nidhi's...
You reminded a good movie. I guess tonight I'll sit and watch LAMHE again...

AF .. Sridevi .. in Lamhe/ Sadma / Nagin / Chalbaz / Chandni .. was par excellence.. 😳 ..some of my fave movies of hers.. i listed..!

Lamhe was so unique.. i mean.. th way Pooja was 'mar gai main mit gai mein' on Viren.. makes u smile with warmth n amazement.. that someone can love someone she barely knows so selflessly..! 😍

I love .. absolutely love Lamhe... .n.good u watching it ..do add some more points to the post.. wuld b a fab read! 😳

Yes. Sadma is my all time favorite. She has to compete with Kamal who is too good and she could stand out next to him... A great movie... Chandini... she was so beautiful in that... All the movies you mentioned are great... She was luckky to act wtih each and every good actor in Indian Cinema and she could make a mark of her own...

strangely, I didnt like LAMHE that time...I was hardly in twenties then...
.I dont remember whether I was against this age-gap marriage
or
the concept of 'loved mother' but later 'loved daughter' I couldnt digest... I think I have to watch now.
