KTLk is not way early of its time...DK was ...and yet it was a huge success and still remembered...KTLK lacks story telling ,narration and execution
Lamhe one of my all time favorite love stories...stood out coz of its sheer brliiant story telling execution ,screenplay and acting...Sridevi Anil were pallavi, pooja and viren...Sridevi carried the movie forward with such effortless ease...that you could identify both with mother and daughter in a span of 2 and half hours or so...pallavi's maturity, pooja's devotion, viren's infatuation then aloofness...everything was conveyed convincingly in those hours
nidhi and pooja maybe similar in their persona per say...but there is still huge difference...coz pooja's emotions ,love had depth...from the moment that little school girl would rush home to meet kunwarji only to be told he is sleeping..she waited at the doorstep so that she does not miss him and he walks past her...the way she runs after his car screaming kunwarji ...your heart went out to that girl...hence when she grew up soaked in that love ,her eyes sparkling ,her heart beating for kunwarji ,a section of the audience lapped it up with ease...
where nidhi is concerned the story telling the falling in love was totally goofed up...the character lacked depth ...instead of convincing us abt her love it raised questions abt how why...very poor narration on the part of the story teller...
in fact at this stage she looks in love more than initial stage...coz the story and quality of the show seem to be improving
and yes i do agree with all of you here...abt the striking similarity of many things between lamhe and KTLK...if only it could tug our hearts as well like Lamhe did...i still live in hope
tanu thanks for the fantastic post and a very beautiful morning to one and all here🤗🤗
