Talking abotu conveying thru' eyes, who can beat SRK in that...The Pardesh scene where he bends and peeps in Mahima's room and nods to her Q - whether he would be with her always...oh my god -- killed me!!! 😳😳

Hello DD

You do not know me but I know you because I have read your posts on the LTL-1 forum and also I think you know my sister Ritz (she use to upload LTL scenes on youtube).

I watched DK in the mid 90s. I had not watched any pakistani dramas before DK. My dad actually at that time was learning/keeping up with his urdu speaking skills for his work and hence he was very fond of listening to people talking, speaking in urdu and as a result we ended up watching many pakistani dramas at that time. Dad use to go all the way from punjab to delhi to get the tapes for pakistani dramas. DK was so popular during the 80s and 90s in India if a person did not watch it that time it was as if you have no idea what classic shows were about. 😆 It was a must watch show and I still watch it.

DK is classic and yes I have very high expectations from the entire team of KTLK.

My personal opinion is that this kind of love story between a 38 year old and 24 year old can only exist on television. Though there are people in real life too who have had such a gap in their age but because I do not know anybody personally and hence I cannot judge them and that is why I believe it exists only on TV. Hence I really do not know if Log will accept it or not. I think it depends on person to person. For example, if I just get to know that a certain couple has a significant age difference and I personally do not know them then I would not even bother to say anything coz I do not know the couple personally. It is their life and I have no right to say anything about them and I expect people to not comment on my life as well. Though considering the Indian society everybody wants to know what is going on in everybody's life. Hence, I really do think Kuch toh log kehenge when it comes to significant age difference between a couple.

Looking forward to your awesome analysis just like in the LTL-1 forum.

I really hope the producer and writer know what they are doing because I am not willing to tolerate another one of my favorite stories being butchered in the same year (the first was beauty and the beast in LTL). 😭 My heart can only handle one story being butchered in one year. I am very sensitive. 😆 😃

Edit - About Rajan shahi he has not impressed me with his previous work. When I found out it was produced by rajan shahi I did not even bother to consider watching it but still I am giving him a chance coz of Mohnish Behl. 😳 Mohnish Behl ne kuch to dekha hoga script mein that he signed up for it and hence I am looking forward to the show.

Once you get married ppl have no option but to accept them as couple.
But i do think its different when you have a love affair with an older man.It is not easily digestible for majority of the people.
There are many like this- height difference- girl taller than the guy, complexion difference. etc etc.
I have witnessed this many times- people tend to say that it does not matters to them but when it comes to choosing partners for their loves ones , people do tend to discriminate.

After Kashish, Udaan, Circus, Fauji ...ah ha!!... *Nostalgic muh*
I have been searching for these shows on Internet but except for Fauji, I couldnt find any of these shows!!
Has anyone watched the 9am shows on DD? During summer vacations, when we used to go to our Nanoo's place, we used to always watch these shows at 9am...like doosra Kewal, Udaan and many local shows...They were amazing!!!

OMG..kya yaad dila diya... So you both are my type of gal...Udaan was one of my favorite. Then Kashish and Fauji..I used to watch Fauji and used to blush (don't ask me why)... Kya din the woh...The way stories were made was awesome... no scheming of saas-bahus...I am hoping KTLK will not follow that route as it has to do justice to the classic it is based upon.
I watched Dhoop Kinare in my 80s and that too during my exams...Me and my mom used get cassettes and watch it in the evening when dad used to leave for his clinic as he used to scold.. We both were hooked on to it... Loved Zoya and her glowing face and her naughtiness...
I am not hoping much from Rajan Shahi as he knows how to drag his shows. And based on TRPs, he changes creatives, story writer etc. Currently, Kamlesh is writing and I hope he continues to. I have only watched Chand Chupa Badal Mein which is his show. It was so good because of the story writer and she was fabulous - Saba Mumtaz. She build the character of Viren Sood and then she was taken out. Somebody else started writing and the person could not get hold of the characters and the story and what Saba has planned for the characters. And they destroyed my favorite show.. We heard that RS was focussing on his new show Havan and hence did not give time to CCBM. .And then RS just ended it. I am so upset about it.
Sorry, enough of my ranting...
BTW, very nice posts in this topic...enjoying reading them...

[Nikita] Hey Keva...I do know you...I keep making ghost appeareances in LTL and I do see u a lot active!! Cant help making appereances in LTL, although I abandoned the show after Mishal left because I am very attached to the people there!!...but I didnt know u r ritz sis!!...Ah ha!!... I loveee her VMs,...and she is on my FB 😊

[Nikita] haha...Interesting...My history with DK is simple...My Mausi did an amazing PR of the show and told her that you have to watch it because its dng rave rounds in Pak. The very next weekend, my mom bought the Video cassette (1986/1987) and we finished it all in one weekend...Since then Zoya climbing the wall of her neighbour has been hitched in my mind...3 years back, I was tryign to recollect the show and asked my Mausi but she didnt remember it. So, I was searching for that scene...I asked the Pak forum here on IF but noone knew...then by chance I saw the thumbnail of the exact scene on YT, Opened it and there it was...DK!! ...Since then I have done an aggressive PR of this show!!

DK is classic and yes I have very high expectations from the entire team of KTLK.

[Nikita] 😆😆😆...True on BOLD! 😆😆
Well, If I come to know about a relationship with significan age gap, I will be curious as to how 2 generations are meeting and booming...As they say more than 8 (or is it 10) years is literally a generation gap...but exactly as u said, I wouldnt discourage them because one, its not my life, and two, what is wrong for you might be right for someone else. What if they survive and survive graciously!!...they culd be examples! ...My parents have a 11 yrs gap and they are together strong!!

Looking forward to your awesome analysis just like in the LTL-1 forum.
[Nikita] I hope its as profound as LTL for the writers to force me to pen down my thoughts...or other creatives to make heart touching VMs etc...

I really hope the producer and writer know what they are doing because I am not willing to tolerate another one of my favorite stories being butchered in the same year (the first was beauty and the beast in LTL). 😭 My heart can only handle one story being butchered in one year. [Nikita] Are u still watching that show after MR's departure? I couldnt see LTL's demise and I stopped watching...

[Nikita] I am mostly watching it because I am curious how DK will shape up...MB comes as a bonus! 😛
See you around and say Hi to Ritz!!😛

Its just that I am not a fan of Rajan shahi's previous work and hence I am damn skeptical about what he has planned for KTLK. I mean I have not liked his previous shows both in terms of acting of the lead actors as well as the stories and it is hard for me to believe that MB took this role just because he is going to be the lead of the show. MB I think is very satisfied with the work he has done in the past even if he was not the lead of the show or movie. Dr. Ashutosh is definitely a challenge. When I read that MB would be Dr. Ahmer I was extremely happy. Seriously I could not think of any other actor who could be perfect for this role. Even though I am not so happy about the female lead coz I seriously thought Shweta Gulati would have been perfect as Zoya I always saw Zoya in the character of Niki (Shweta Gulati) in DMG but I am willing to give Kritika a chance. It would definitely prove to be a fantastic challenge for Kritika. It is a role every actress would actually want because it so different and refreshing to watch. 😛 😃 Just my personal opinion.

hmmm...I guess from the background that I hail from, and the thought process that I hold, I wouldnt mind two people with yin yang traints...but yeah, if it comes to choosing a partner for my loved one, I would try choosing a yin for yin and yang for Yang...However, during the process if my loved one, like a total opp person, I would give that option a chance without ifs and buts!...
See, Its my experience, but the superficial things like looks, heights, body etc matter at a young age where you feel you have lot of options but when u go deep into a relationshiop, its all about chemistry, compatibility and how well u understand the other...How much are u ready to adjust because not only do u love the other person but also u understand him...and beause I understand these finer points, it seriously doesnt matter to me if someone has a contrast like Amitabh and Jaya or Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones or Dutta and Koel Naku...
But then it might be a different ball game outside my world...and hence, the Q...
Duly noted your point! 😊

Annu, I think he did play a lead in some medical script before...cant recollect the show but it was prior to DMG!
