is it only me or does the most basic thing somehow redeem dev for everyone and sonakshi?

like he never faces consquences which is why he is also incapable of facing them.

maybe that's why he hates bijoy because noone else tells him how it really is.

also sonakshi is in a toxic relationship. she needs therapy asap.

i feel for dev but he gaslights, doesn't listen and then manipulated everyone except ishu. he also needs help. these people shouldn't be together unless they figure their issues out. its getting tiring to see this behaviour glorified

Few things Jatin is Sona’s best friend so he suggested Sona... for marriage counseling couple usually go together .

Natasha is a lady and Sona’s friend and Dev is not communicating with any one else much he keeps to himself .

I can finally see the chemistry between the leads of this show...in that dream sequence. They have the chemistry quotient going for them fine.

Sonakshi seems hopelessly in love. I don't know how can anyone even think that she doesn't love him anymore!

Dev...it was your decision to move out of the bedroom. She told you that you can still sleep separately in the bedroom itself. You said that you want "peace". Now you are expecting her stop you from leaving. Decide kar lo pehle chahte kya ho.

Ishwari is trying to get rid of the blame. Going to Sonakshi and Dev and offering a half baked plea of moving out as if she is concerned about them. And what was that stupid dialogue about that new entry being Dev's to be wife back then! Pagal hai kya?! Does Sonakshi know about it already?

And that lady came upto them and spoke of such private issue. She said she knows Dev...so shouldn't she talk to him as well? Sab Sonakshi ko hi gyaan kyun de rahe hai? Is Dev so hopeless that everyone knows about it?

This is why I thought that the makers are biased towards Ishwari and Dev's characters. Every other character is made to compromise for justifying Maa beta.

Also precap... I felt bad for Sonakshi. Everybody is giving her advise to fix her marriage. She probably feels compelled, guilty to do so... Though I doubt she can continue with this. Dev doesn't seem to be too concerned to fix the issues. He wants to brush everything aside and make up. This won't sit well with Sonakshi... shouldn't sit well with her given how they have character so far. But you can't challenge a writer's liberty. It's upto them.

Dev is an escapist . I'm sure people close to him know that. He already knows there is discord between him and Sonakshi but instead of facing situation head on , he walked out of the room to avoid confrontation . So he's far from making any efforts to fix it . I said it earlier too, Dev loves her no doubt but it's quiet a one way street where he wants total devotion from her for him , his mom and family but will not reciprocate the same .

Bold 1: That is the biggest attraction of the show: the chemistry between the leads. Because of which the show has been brought back by public demand.

Bold 2: I am so tired and bored of the kids scenes, I forward right through them.

Bold 3: Decision-making is Dev's problem. He tends to do this. You are right, he moved out, she said, we could sleep separately here but he wants her to stop him. Well.

Bold 4: Natasha was Dev's business partner's daughter with whom he was going to get engaged. But he realized on the eve of the engagement that he is actually in love with Sona and broke it off with Natasha. Natasha was heartbroken but takes it in her stride and leaves. Sona knows all of that.. because when he was confused about whether or not marry Natasha, he used to talk to Sona about it, since he considered Sonakshi to be his best friend. He talked about everything to her.

Yes he did. Natasha knew he wasn't very excited about marrying her and was willing to give him time. Her father sort of connected their huge contract that Dev wanted to this alliance and Dev had to go along. Dev had told her that this is all too new and too unfamiliar waters for him, so she didn't expect him that way either. She understood that her father had twisted his arm into a quick engagement when he wasn't ready and willing to make him wait. But Dev thinks, if they have to do this, fine, let's just do this. But his heart is not there in it, and he himself doesn't understand why. Finally when he does, he explains it all to her. She is heartbroken, but strong.

Dev then proposes to Sona that night.. its the most beautiful proposal. Damn S1 was just so amazing in those episodes.

People who came into Dev and Sona's lives were positive people and they were not shown in a bad light afterwards. That is a very good trait of this show in S1.

This show is abt forgiving n forgetting by sona. They did this in s1 too. They are biased towards dev n esh. You will never see them realising or redeeming.

Message sent to society thru this show is, beti ko achcha se sikake sasural bejo, pati aur saas ki baath manke chalo. Awaz mat utao. Tum ladki ho, sasural ka dhan ho. Betwn better sona also understand why to do rona dona n taking head ache. Bcoz from her emotional break down no one is getting affected or nothing is going to change. in fact it is affecting herself. So, if she wants to continue in relationship, she need to keep aside all her feelings n just go with flow..
