Good for you. But I was thinking for Bible and Gita. I have nothing else to say to you.
Lovely post! Kudos to you for bringing out the crux so soon. Many people are emotionally involved in Season 1 and/or 2, may start viewing season 3 from the same perspective. Team Sona or Team Dev is immaterial, it should be Team Devakshi.
The issue if is khoon ka rishta vs. dil ka rishta, then Ishwari will think deeper later in the story I hope. After all, she cites Lord Krishna and his mother as an example. Hope she also sees the error in her ways with Neha too via this track. It is day 1 of receiving a life-altering event as news, hopefully, she will act saner once it settles down.
For Dev too it has been a shocking couple of days, with no real-time to process what has happened. I hope he too finds the astute business brains in him to approach the situation objectively (at least opt for a DNA test). For Sona too, Soha held the pieces of her broken heart post the separation. Even if she is not related by blood, both Dev and Sona can never let go of the glue that Soha was/is for them.
Sona to be blamed by Ishwari is really rich though. As if Sonakshi bought the wrong kid from the supermarket. The bold part really drives home the point, a DIL is never really a daughter. That remark about giving birth and being a mother was so misplaced especially when Dev and Sona are victims too. Hope there is an apology for that sometime later.
Bold 2: Wish there is more probing into that. Dev mentioned in Season 1 he always wanted a daughter, how will he balance the love for the deprived one (the new kid) and the longed one (Soha). With Sona and Ishwari not really on the best of terms, it is another challenge for him. Sona and her family are really not at fault, even if the swap did take place. Everyone is allowed to make mistakes and deserves a chance of correcting it, as was done for the Dixits.
Bold 3: Hits the hammer on the nail! I Hope Dev and Sona handle the situation together, take the journey to re-discover their love. I personally, will wait for Ishwari to apologize for her remark today before including her in this rosy (hopefully) future.

It is good to be back to a forum who connected me to people who thought like me, people who did not think like me and so gave a different perceptive and all in between…and got me back to writing
The age-Old stigma of a Boy versus a Girl child is probably going to be explored in this new chapter of kuch Rang….
Dev and Sona married for couple of years each of them busy in their own lives, the love still exists but it is not displayed as it is buried between work, children, Home and everything in between. Isn’t it true that when we become parents we cease to behave like husband and wife instead act like two partners who are co-parenting! That is what is happening in Dev and Sona’s life. Ishwari accepted Sona because she loves Dev not because she loves Sona. Can a Mother in law really love a daughter in law as a daughter or will she always remain the sons wife?.
Ishwari a mother who struggled to bring up her children gave her son the powers to be where he is now but in turn ignored Neha her girl child. Why is it because the Heir apparent was a Male and not a female? Things which were not explored in theprevious season’s is probably explored in this one and if that is so then it will really be a path breaking show.
Into Dev and Sona’s busy lives comes a storm in the name of a son who is their blood, Easwari word for word talks about soga being Just like Dev but now that a Son who is the real child comes in will she still think Soha as just like her Dev?. She thinks she was and is the ultimate mother because she sacrificed for her children and Sona really is not so is her old self rearing her head again?
Dev as usual torn between his mother’s views and his wife’s when all was status quo there were no issues, but now will he really see that his mother does have some strong views and really balance between wife and mother.
For Sona, Soha was her lifeline and is still is. She was the one who mended her when everything was broken will she be able to love another as much as Doha though that child is related to her in Blood?
The dynamics of the three Easwari the mother ,whose world revolves around her son, Sona whose life revolves around her daughter and Dev caught in between…A great story to tell if the makers do justice.
As far as the cliché of swapped babies I think it is not only cinematic liberties but could be there is more than what meets the eye?
Thoughts welcome my lovelies..it is good to be back

Someone said how Dev and ishu's feeling matter. Replying to that (sorry I am new to the platform don't know how it works)
I am not sure we're seeing the same show. Because Dev and ishwari's feelings have always been considered. From the fact that Sona went through a painful process to give her a child to Dev literally slapping bijoy and never properly apologizing.
Even after Soha was easily shifted to Dev's house. I've lived 6 years at my nani's house due to some reasons. My Nani used to cry everyday for weeks after I left. That part was never considered in the show.
It was ishwari's mistake primarily which led to sona being alone at the time of pregnancy. This is thing not shown in the show but what sort of husband is Dev to leave her wife at such a crucial point of time. Sona was clearly depressed at the news of her not being able to become a mother. Even if she never would've become a mother it was honestly pathetic that Dev let her leave at such a point. She could've been seriously depressed if not for Soha. It was obvious having a kid is what she always wanted.
Now also Sona is being questioned as if she had swapped kids. First by Dev and now by ishu. Worst thing Dev hasn't said a thing to ishu. Dev understands ishu more than Sona.
Dev did something extremely basic by taking care of kids which honestly appreciable doesn't make Sona indebted to him..it's what everyone should do.
Even now sona is struggling with kids ishu is hounding her for complaining.
Sona and bijoy spent 7 years with Soha. Dev and ishu can never understand how jarring this news would be for them. Ishu and Dev should be extra supportive of Sona not only because it's terrible news for a mother it also makes one question her motherhood itself. Sona has also recently lost her mother and this is how everyone behaves with her pathetic.
Genuinely wouldn't want to ever live in such a house.
Love bijoy would want a father like him . He's only ever been rash is response to what he saw. He's seen his daughter not being valued the way he knows she should be valued. His feelings are absolutely valid.
Thank you for penning it down so beautifully. ❤️ I was thinking to point out the same things but now I don't need to.
KRPKAB, be it in season 1 or season 2, had always considered Dev & Ishwari's emotions first & foremost. Be it Devakshi dating, be it them breaking it off (read Dev breaking it off), be it them getting married, be it them trying to conceive or be it them separating again upto the point them patching up after 7 years.... everything happened according to what Dev or Ishwari wanted. Did either of them ever asked Sonakshi or cared for what did she want? No. Sonakshi was just supposed to agree to whatever they decided. But whenever things went sour, the mother - son duo blamed everything on Sonakshi.
What retrospection really Bijoy or Sonakshi needs to do? Unlike Ishwari, Bijoy never had any ill intentions. At first Bijoy also liked Dev & had very willingly went to Ishwari to talk about Devakshi's marriage. It's only after Ishwari low key humiliated him & said Sonakshi has trapped Dev, Bijoy got worried. When Dev dumped Sonakshi, Bijoy saw her hurt, saw her writhing in pain. It's only natural for him that he wouldn't like Dev after that. He was right in his assessment that Dev didn't want a life partner for himself, he wanted an obedient daughter in law for his mother. Even after that Bijoy accepted Dev as his son in law & warmly welcomed him in his family. Pre-separation, Bijoy tried his best to strike an warm fatherly relation with Dev. From Dussehra's Jamai Ador to celebrating his birthday to that "Mussoorie ka kasam".... Bijoy always made Dev feel welcome & wanted in their life. Very very different from how Ishwari treated Sonakshi. Bijoy lashed out only when he or his family was insulted. Dev literally slapped him & expected him to understand that it was accidental.
When Sonakshi accidentally bumped into Ishwari, Dev reacted by throwing her out from his house!
Bijoy became outright hostile towards Dev post leap. And that's understandable. That guy broke his daughter, not once but twice, married her, took her responsibilities but failed to fulfill them, abandoned her when she needed him the most. Why will Bijoy not despise him? And after knowing about Suhana, after knowing how his mother denied Sonakshi entry in his house & sent her back with an warning to never come back again, he didn't even showed an ounce of remorse. He, quite literally bulldozed his way into Bose house, created a ruckus among Sourabh's wedding preparations & kept taunting, insulting Bijoy. Why the heck Bijoy will feel pleased about it? If anything, Asha was too forgiving & welcoming towards the man who ruined her daughter's life. Dev even used to call Bijoy, a man of his father's equivalent, with derogatory names like "budhao", "haddi", "macchi ka kanta", "Mogambo" etc and they were supposed to be funny? Imagine Sonakshi calling Ishwari by "Budhiya" or "witch" or anything like that, I am sure that wouldn't have been considered funny. She called her Mrs. Dixit ince or twice and everyone reacted like she had slapped her!
Bijoy was right in his place to be apprehensive of Dev whenever he was & there's nothing to introspect on his part.
However Dev & Ishwari are total different case. Ishwari still redeemed herself a bit by the end of season 1 but did Dev ever sincerely apologize for throwing out Sonakshi? He put all the blame on Sonakshi's shoulder & said she left. He himself was just guilty of letting her go. He never once even mentioned the horrible accusations he put on her on that fateful night of their separation, neither did he ever apologize for them. I really waited for his realisation of his wrongdoing, him regretting hurting her & him confessing it. But it never came. Sonakshi forgave him without even him asking for it.🤔

Yess thank you. I also sometimes feel asha forgave dev too eaisly. that man threw her daughter out, slapped her husband never aplogised properly. but I understand she wouldn't want to hold grudges. That makes noone happy.
even when ishu apologzed to sona it was not because sona said anything it was only because sona was worried ishu wouldn't accept her. remember that medicne thing when even after sona did the whole khatri thing for her she didn't take medicine from her untill mamji made ishu relealise. and was sona wrong ishu still hasn't properly accepted her, and the user above says how ishu never complained that dev stopped his company for his kids. ( please guys he stopped work for his kids not for sona its a basic dad responsibility kya hype kar rakha hai.) ishu kept telling sona to stay and how mother is everything. abhi thi she taunted sona when she was opening up how 2 kids are tiring for her ishu replied with " hamare time maid nhi hote the and humne complain bhi nhi kiya". Ishu literally never changed.
Hi gemini , I think I know you..
I really want to know harsh behaviour of bijoy damaged who?
For me he is ideal father. if you hv father like him, no daughter will commit scuicide.
Sorry to buttin..
Hi Hari
Good to see you and yes you know me. I love Bijoy too don’t get me wrong he was a father who stood by his daughter did not stand for her being wronged but he did have a hot head too and in certain situations now that I am a little older lol I feel we have to try and diffuse situations and after it is diffused put forth your views. That is what I was alluding too.
@brule thanks for the reply. I would love for this to be explored because even in so called developed countries there always seems to be double standards when it comes to girl children. I think someone else brought about a good topic that maybe it is biological to non biological child. A child is a child no matter what. Thanks again

If I remember that breakup following slap kand, my blood boils down. I can never forgive dev who called sona gold digger n home breaker etc.
And beleive me, this esh presence making lot difficult to give good morals to her own children. Infact elders shd b like blessing to family. And make younger generation life easy. But don't throw your thoughts on them. Stay back n give support whenever they want.
Coming to dev, he shd take equal responsibility of children. Not just kissing n hugging. Ok, he stayed back n took care of shub, but that does not mean his responsibilities over.
But current esh n dev, there is no hope. They don't really bother abt sona feeling. They didn't take min to ask, how she didn't know n blaming her n parents is really bad. Esh was blaming sona n parents, n dev saying shanth ho jao ma? Where sona stands here? I am disappointed with dev, even after shub birth he still don't care for her.
And finally I want to blame sona for choosing such a pathetic family. If she had given chance to jathin, probably lived respectful life..😆

But Gemini, he had reason to behave harsh. Otherwise he is cool as husband n father n FIL He stood for right things. If I was in his place, may b I wouldn't hv seen dev face again after being called gold digger, slap n thrown out from house. How can he even behave normal when his daughter ill treated. If dixits had treated sona well, we wouldn't hv seen that rash behaviour.
But is there any situation where he created something first which lead to difference in devakshi? Did I miss something?

@Bold - While I do understand that Ishwari was quite problematic in her attitude towards Sonakshi, but I think on this part I will differ.
At that point, Ishwari was still very vulnerable, both physically & mentally. She was still coming to terms with what Sonakshi did for her & she was genuinely confused & trying to understand whether she misjudged Sonakshi and whether she should be more welcoming towards her. In the meantime Radharani happened. Radharani started to emotionally blackmail Ishwari that she didn't consider her family member, she hid such a huge thing from her, how Ishwari needs to discuss everything with her for Radharani to believe her sincerity etc etc. That made Ishwari uncomfortable. She was tired at that point & didn't want to risk displeasing Radharani. She was not ready for another drama. That's why she refused to take medicine from Sonakshi. To keep Radharani calm & unprovoked. If she had problems with Sonakshi, she wouldn't have come off with excuses like the medicine is bitter. She would have straight out refused. She didn't. She was cautious that Sonakshi shouldn't feel hurt either.
In fact that's how I feel about Ishwari for majority of the times. She didn't have any personal problems with Sonakshi, she wasn't complete evil. She was insecure & emotionally vulnerable and her weak points were thoroughly exploited by Radharani. She was manipulated by Radharani into creating problems. If Radharani was not in the picture, things could have gone very differently.
As for apologizing, Ishwari at least apologized. Didn't straight out demand that she has to be forgiven. Ishwari faced her demons & accepted that she was possesive of Dev & was afraid that Sonakshi was going to snatch him away from her. She accepted that Sonakshi was never wrong, instead she wanted to prove her wrong because she couldn't see anybody else apart from herself being right in Dev's eyes. After Devakshi's reunion she accepted Sonakshi quite wholeheartedly & she was quite a good mother in law till season 1 lasted. In season 2 too, she was mostly old fashioned & rigid in her beliefs but never really belittled or blamed Sonakshi like she used to do earlier. That's why I am so annoyed that the season 3 writers have again pushed her back to how she was pre-leap and just nullified all the progress she made so far.
As for season 2, I think it was more like a social awareness campaign through Devakshi than it being a regular tv serial. They brought it with finite episodes & with the aim of tackling social problems. They wanted to spread message that Fathers should help in kids' upbringing as much as mothers do & children are not mother's responsibility alone. For that purpose they made Dev opting to be a stay at home Dad while Sonakshi works. If you consider Dev's character development in that, season 3 will stop making sense even more. 😆
