Hey, I hope everyone's doing well and finding ways to deal with the absence of our show. It's been great to read all the appreciation for the thread, and as we have always said, the thread is only ever as good as the people participating in it! So thanks to all the people who obliged and followed the rules for healthy discussion!

To be honest, the sadness hasn't hit me yet because I am still enjoying the sheer relief of my first Hindi soap that didn't end in disaster with the story compromised and the lead characters killed -- either figuratuvely or literally. 😆 I revisit my favourites often and it's such a pleasure to have a show in which the last episode connects almost seamlessly to the first and gives satisfactory closure to the main premise. Great work by the CVs!

@Calvin: Your question brought me out of hiding. 😛 Neha was always my favourite character on the show, right from day one, and it was really a pity that her storyline was cut off. That said, I don't think the second set of writers in S1 knew quite how to handle her, so I am happy with the tidbits we got after the leap. They gave us just enough information to infer what her trajectory might have been. What I like most is that Neha's choice not to have children was validated. In S1, she tried to "heal" herself in a way that made sense to Ishwari, by falling in love with a Ranveer and puting her conditions aside. But she couldn't sustain this faith after all she had seen, and it didn't really give her the happiness she wanted.

Much like Dev, but in her own way, I think Neha had to come out of Ishwari's shadow and fight for her own definition of happiness. Even though she expressed a lot of bitterness towards her mother, she never really stopped struggling for her approval in S1. I like to think that over the seven years, she learned how to take Ishwari and Dev with a pinch of salt and live life on her terms -- Ishwari's fall from grace after Sona left did not change her relationship with Dev alone, but also her daughters; once the flawless facade of Dev-Ishwari's relationship broke, it stopped being something that Neha wanted and aspired to and that liberated her.

As they showed, she was the only sister in touch with both Dev and Ishwari during the seven years; I like to think she learned to give them less importance which is why she wasn't as hurt or angry as her sisters. What she had always known about Ishwari came true, leaving her feeling more confident in herself. The rest is left to our imaginations, especially where her and Vineet's story is concerned.😊

@Sam..thank you for helping in bringing conclusion to Neha's story
And thanks to me to bring you out of hiding..i have been secretly waiting for your post after the show ended..
And yeah Neha is my favorite character too..apart from Dev-Sona there are 3 more couples in the show..among them Neha-Ranveer was my favourite..but alas writers ended their story..i was fine with that since i was more interested in Neha's story..and i waited for her story in S02..and when the news of her return came i jumped with joy but her story was not shown unlike Nikki's..
So i was yet again disappointed..
But your post does give an insight..

@Sam, thank you so much for coming out of your hiding place... I really missed reading your posts in the last 2 weeks...

I have watched a lot of TV shows (Mostly western), but apart from Friends and Breaking Bad... No show was ever able to present an ending which made me want to revisit the series again...

Castle, White Collar and even Sherlock, while might have began brilliantly, ended on a note which left a sour taste... Especially, Castle which ended on the most perfect note in its season 7...

I so ardently wished for a 8th season.. Like KRPKAB, I wanted to see more and more of Rick & Kate (Caskett)...

And, I was so elated when my wish came true... But, in hindsight, it was the one wish that I wished never came true... They ended up slaughtering two characters that I loved so much.. I was so sad that I even signed a petition to end the show since I couldn't bear to see them anymore...

It was the most heinous and painful way to end a show... In fact, KRPKAB was the sort of... a rebound for me to distance myself from the pain of the horrible end to one of my most beloved shows...

It is still such a difficult thing for me to see the old episodes of Castle because of how it ended... Hence, I always hesitated to get attached to a new show since 9 out of 10 times, the ending was so poor...

When I started to fall in love with KRPKAB, I was comforted by the fact that it is a finite series... But, when the show decided to go for a leap (after the tragic phase in December), I was relieved to let go of the bad memories of the last few episodes of the pre-leap but also sad that the finite end was no longer possible...

But, the show picked up pace and somehow, got back to its high standards (even though it was only able to reach or meet its peak in certain episodes but the overall quality was still far superior than other shows and the only thing which was affected was the editing aspects and some story bits)... The acting, music and writing (for the most part) remained top-notch throughout the series...

So, you can imagine my shock when the news of KRPKAB end came out... I felt like history was repeating itself... In 10 days, I felt that CVs could never end the show on a note that could satisfy me and I felt like running away to save myself from the onslaught of pain...

It is pretty clear that the last 2 episodes were the ones that were written and shot after the news came out... But, I am just glad that CVs despite the short notice, was able to end the show in a way, which might feel a little rushed, but at the same time, felt complete...

In my opinion, after watching Wednesday's episode (August 23rd), I really had very low expectations but the first 3 minutes (where Sona finally started considering Ishwari like a mother and non-veg craving issue was resolved) and especially, the last 10 minutes of the show (which started with the beautiful conversation between Dev & Ishwari), were probably the most perfect way to end the show (considering the circumstances)...

Seeing Dev & Sona's complete journey through a flashback showing all the big and crucial moments and then, seeing Devakshi's smiling and content faces, with their children (Shubh in Dev's arms and Soha standing between them), made me feel like yes, I have been part of their complete journey and now, while I might not see them any longer, but I could part with them, knowing I am leaving them at the beginning of their most beautiful chapter...

And, the last flashback of the episode which took us back to the very beginning of the series, when Dev brought Ishwari to their new home in the very first episode... And, now how she feels like Ishwari is entering her home for the first time, with the return of Sonakshi and Suhana (and Shubh coming to Ishwari Niwas)...

Last but not the least, I should commend Vaibhav Singh for his stupendous acting, which made my heart convinced that Vicky was truly changed and realized his mistakes, even though my mind was ready with all the valid reasons to not believe this seemingly-sudden change... He was truly brilliant in the scene and the little touches of humor and light-hearted scenes sprinkled in between, just made me laugh out loud, completely making me forget that I was watching the last episode for a few short moments...

Probably, this is why, I am not feeling depressed... And, now after watching the first 6-7 episodes of the show and hearing Sona calling Dev 'Mr. Aubhodro' for the first time on his face makes me laugh like crazy... It is like I am watching the show for the first time...

And, I am glad that the end has not ruined my love for this show.. Instead, it rejuvenated me and made me wish to relive the journey and re-experience the moments that made me fall in love with this show all over again...

-Suyash.

P.S: Completely agreed with each and every word of your answer to @Calvin's question regarding Neha... Couldn't have said better...

It has been a long time I posted anything in this thread, other than my guess on how everything slowly was leading to the closure. Just as the news of our show going offair was out, was not in a mood to take part in any discussion or read any analysis/write-ups. So I still have to read most of the posts in this thread & the previous thread. Shall do it later.
However, before it is late, I just wanted to thank all those with whom I interacted in the forum and made this thread. https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/kuch-rang-pyar-ke-aise-bhi/4889945/with-a-heavy-heart. THANK YOU DEAR ONES.

Suyash...I am happy that I could be of some support to you in sharing your thoughts here and thank you for that kind words. One thing I would like to remind you (recollecting your first post in this analysis thread, where you doubted on whether you would be able to be a supportive husband) is that you are a wonderful person & I am sure you would be as good as our Dev; and evenif you happen to stumble somewhere you would make use of the lessons you got from KRPKAB and this forum. Be blessed with a bright future ahead brother.

I am not quitting the forum. But, I will not be as active as earlier. Would try to come atleast once in a week, so that can be in touch with everyone here.😊

Hi every one. I know most of you are sad and try to make the peace with the fact that out serial is ended. But I think I have accepted this fact the day the announcement of the closer is done. For some time I Feel bad. But I had decide to enjoy the last tow weeks and just see how makers are going to make the end of the story. I am happy that they try to close almost all the points. So I want to appreciate C V's for that . The Serial Started with the point where dev brings Ishu mata to the Ishu niwas and this was the representation of the fact that they are no longer poor and now they are financially secure and it ends at the point where they are actually able to achieve the what they want to achieve that is financial security and established themselves as the family. All the three characters had made the mistakes paid the price for them and finally learn lesson. Ishu mata had get over her fear that his son will not accept her as a human and the moment she understand that she is able to accept the changed facts about his son's life and sona as a person and as dev's wife and DIL. Same with the dev because of the Ishu mata' s mistaken when dev loose every thing he was able to put his mother down from the god status and accept her as a human and able to help her out. Same with sona she was not able to trust dev and allowed the other person to control her relation she paid the price by being alone for 7 years and missing dev but learn that she is not the perfect nor her baba. We all want that baba should acknowledge that he is not perfect, Dada should be become the man of the house and tripathi should make their own home and leave the ishu niwas. But honestly
in real life this never happens . I can see the example in my own family when one brother or sister is more responsible then other they remain the same and all others are depends on them. In real life they never learn the lesson and remain the same. Same with our parents at some point we are not able to tell them openly that they are at fault and they don't accept it openly.
And this the charm of our show that they shown the things with the most realistic touch. Like Dev choose his own family over his love for golu and not allowed any one to take the advantage of his love for golu. soha become the normal after getting the assurance that her parents love her and they want her that she should not change. Finally sona was able to tell openly that what she want and Ishu mata accepting her the way is and allowing her to eat the non veg. This is the big change the same ishu was not able to accept and eat the food at her own son's marriage as their was the non veg food at the venue. and created the big fuss when by mistaken the fish entered in the house and finally sona understand that dev love her in respect of she is perfect or not. and she accepted dev as it is. This generally happen over the period of time in every relation that is acceptance of the other person in our life as he or she is and by accepting our faults some times openly some time by changing the behavior and making sure that we don't repeat the same mistakes or some times both but this will happen if you get the strong foundation of love and trust.
So over all I am happy that they end the story with the way it should be ended so we can remember the show for its good contents and excellent acting of the all the star cast.

And finally I want to thank you to the thread makers for making the thread and all the writer for their beautiful post's by which we used to share our views with the peaceful manner. This thread had given me the space where I am able to express my self and my thoughts with your encouragement and become the part of my life. So Ones agin Thanks You 🤗.

I started watching the show from beginning again and everytime Neha comes on screen i am having a weird feeling..because what happened to her disappointment towards her brother and mother..are they gone forever..? but how?
all i think when her story is shown is so what happened to her..how did her life become normal?
Can someone please give me some conclusion..
Pretty pleaseee..😭

Calvin,

From the beginning, Neha's biggest complaint was that she was not given the love and appreciation that Dev got and also there was no acknowledgement of her sacrifices for the family. She wanted what Dev had with Ishwari. But when she saw Dev broken after the second breakup, her illusions were broken too. She realized the cost of Ishwari's love. She realized that she had gotten the better end of the deal for all her contributions during their time of struggle. She had been given the "freedom", the choice to live life as she wanted. She was given the choice and voice to say what she wants in life. All of which was denied to Dev. Once she realized this truth, she stopped wanting that appreciation or love from Ishwari. And when she found a guy who fulfilled her conditions of giving her a comfortable life and was ok with not having any children, she found her happiness. She made peace with her life.
