Ditto. 😭

We knew since day one of S2 that Vicky would exploit the Bigcha-Golu bond, and the separation would come eventually, but I still wasn't prepared for how much it broke my heart. The way Dev was clinging to Golu, and the way Golu called out "Bigcha" as he was dragged out the door... I am still recovering from the sadma. 😭

I am not sure if Elena is as bothered about supporting Vicky as she is about punishing Dev, silly woman. She hasn't taken care of her son for a day in his life, and doesn't even know if Vicky has a decent place to stay. Somehow the fact that he is telling her nothing -- from his job status to his slap status -- rings no alarm bells in her head. Badiya. 👏

It seems I am in the minority because I think Dev and Sona handled Soha fine. They tried to humour her in small ways while standing strong behind Dev's decision not to let Vicky back in the house. The thing is, Soha's anger is valid too, because as Mami and Ishwari explained, the slap should not have happened in front of the children. To Soha, Vicky chachu is her friend, who gave her attention at a sensitive time. As we saw, Golu felt the same way, and I liked that Dev and Sona heard them out.

The way I see it, there is a difference between validating a child's emotions and giving in to their demands. Dev and Sona did the former but not the latter. Even in the end, when Soha was begging Sona to say something to stop Golu from leaving, Sona just hugged her, thereby communicating something like this: it's right for you to feel sad and angry, and I am here to help you deal with those emotions, but for now, there is no immediate solution. We just have to confront our emotions, and find a way to be okay with the status quo until things get better, because there is valid, long-term reasoning behind our decision.

This is precisely the kind of validation that Dev never got, thanks to a combination of dire circumstances and Ishwari. She never let him express his emotions (even yesterday with Mami, she reprimanded him for his tone), and so he learned to bottle them up and look for proactive solutions instead. He never found a productive, non-judgmental outlet for his emotions until Sona came into his life, and that is why he continues to struggle with his anger. He suppresses it until it bursts forth in ways that even he can't control.

That is why I like that Soha and Golu are allowed to be angry and say what they feel. It's not like anyone was actually going to let Soha leave the house this time (that's why Sona was so casual about it), and when push comes to shove, the equations balance themselves out. Soha had the luxury of being angry with Dev and expressing it when everything was stable, but the moment there was a threat to her world, it was Dev whose hand she instinctively reached for in an appeal to protect it.

Sam, I agree with everything you say. But I still feel that at least some part of the truth needs to be told to Soha. That she should be talked to. If not today, but soon. It is always good to let kids some idea of reality. That will help them to truly differentiate between the right and wrong instead of just going by what they see in front of their eyes. Cause not everything we see in front of our eyes may be the truth. We may have to look beyond that to understand the truth.

And I feel happy that I did that with our son. Recently a kid his age died by committing suicide in school. It seems he had been bullied. After hearing that news, I talked to my son and he was like no way I will do something like that. And I asked him how can he be so sure. He said "Mom, I attended the DARE program when I was in both elementary and middle school". It is a program where police go to schools on scheduled days and teach children the harm caused by weapons, drugs etc and how to say no and choose the right thing.

Saying that bad doesn't exist or just hiding it doesn't really take away the bad. It will be there always. The only thing as a parent we can do is show not all of that, but at least acknowledge it's presence and teach our kids to fight against that. Make the right choice and not just get misled by that.

Not intended to hurt, but am feeling scared for kids like Soha. They are very vulnerable and can be easily manipulated. Cause they are easy targets. And next week it is going to be an emotionally roller coaster week. But am hoping that after next week, it will settle with Vickky's true face coming to the fore and he not having any place to hide. That it will be there for everyone to see and neither maami nor Elena will be able to deny that.

P.S: I have a doubt. Will Elena or maami really be able to digest the truth if Vickky really throws Dev out of IN. Will they truly be able to live there. Will maami be able to wear the sarees or the jewels she wears now. Cause both of them are not that bad from heart. Their heart is not as black as Vickky's. Also will they even agree to live with him, especially maami who is his number 1 fan. I don't know why but am really looking forward now. Maami had in a way rejoiced at Ishwari and Dev's plight at both the break ups. And she always wanted to have what ishwari had. Now that she will be getting that, i wonder how she will like it.

P.P.S: Since Vickky has no real brain in running business, if he acquired Dev's in this way, how long will he actually be able to run it without losing everything. Looks like my brain is in an overdrive. 😆

@ Shaavi sorry to hear about what happened in your son's school!

@Sam good points put forward... I think everyone's in a catch 2 situation here. But I think Dev will be very watchful of Vicky especially around Sonakshi and Soha

The children are innocent all they need is love .. family ..attention..togetherness.. and Vicky is manipulating all those emotions .. it's sad he's doing it to his own son!

@Shaavi: I agree with you, and while I believe today was a definite step up, I don't think that Dev and Sona have handled the Vicky situation in an ideal manner where the kids are concerned. More than Soha, I was surprised that Dev didn't pay much attention to Golu after he kicked Vicky out of the house. This was an extremely traumatic event and nobody really explained it to the children or talked about why it happened -- that is what gave Vicky the space he needed to do damage through the kids and, as he said, hit Dev where it hurts the most.

That said, I don't think today was the best time to tell Soha and Golu (mostly Soha) the truth, because she was so emotional and defensive (like papa, like beti 😆), and it would have given the wrong impression. I thought it made more sense to do what Devakshi did -- try to calm her down and reconnect with her to get her to a point where she would actually listen to them and give weight to their words. As usual, before they could stabilise, they were hit with the next tonne of bricks. Hopefully they will be able to get through to her now so that Vicky can't cause too much more damage, at least to their nuclear unit.

P.S. Was it just me being overly optimistic or did Dev look surprised/confused in the precap when Vicky said he had brought Golu home without his and Elena's permission? Methinks Golu may not be done with his lying days.

I agree with you that they should have talked to the kids sooner and today was not the day. But then Dev was busy with Sonakshi in his own way. Dev should have at least paid attention to the day Suhana had that accident and he found Vickky there. I think it is my wistful thinking cause for me kids are like flowers. They need to handled with care. And I can never see them get hurt, even on screen. It just breaks my heart. And I feel that both Suhana and Golu will be facing something ugly soon(even the truth is ugly. I am not referring to something horrible than that.).

And I guess it was not just a traumatic event for Golu, but everyone. All of them were hurt in their own way and were trying to make head or tail of the situation. They first needed to come to terms with the truth that Vickky, the brother, the child of the family can do something like this. No one was ready for such a revelation. But am hoping that they learn soon and start safeguarding the family.

I don't know why but suddenly the Ayaan track flashed in my mind. In that too Ayaan became over confident after knowing that Sonakshi is not pregnant. The one who came to apologize goes on to threaten Dev. And till the end remains unaware of Dev's real plan. I hope that this track too goes this way and Dev doesn't really lose anything and is not hurt badly. But at the same time just like everyone at IN coming to know of Ayaan's true intentions and face, get to know Vickky's.

Suhana's packing today reminded me of this movie i saw a few years back. In that the daughter says she doesn't have any freedom at home so she is leaving. So the mother doesn't stop her, instead says let me see what you have packed to make sure you have taken all your stuff. Then takes her suitcase inside, replaces the clothes she has packed with some heavy things like books and a couple of weights, trophies etc and also places a tracker in it and gives it to her daughter. When the daughter comments on the weight she says you are leaving home forever, so you need all this stuff. The daughter painfully drags that suitcase and finally reaches the bus stop. After few min there, she calls her mom and asks her to come pick her up. Mother asks so what happened to your plan. And the daughter tells it is too much work and also that she got hungry and tired from pulling that suitcase. 😆 😆 . They have a heart to heart talk and the daughter comes home. It was a nice movie.😃 .

P.S: I love watching movies. Hence talk about a lot of movies. 😆

Today Soha reminded me of that jalebi ad. Anyone old enough to remember it? If she keeps using this walkout threat she will soon learn that it's lost its importance. I saw zid... But no blackmailing. Sona stood by her husband. Deflected the questions that everyone was asking him. There was excellent non verbal communication between the two. Where sonakshi signalled to dev to stop Elena but dev signalled to sona that Vicky is not safe for them.
It's sad that people are expecting Dev to commit to taking Vicky back without much evidence of his change yet. All dev wants is for Vicky to prove his worth. Sona said it for him today.

I think the way Golu and Soha were handled was just perfect. It's Elena who is using Golu for all the wrong reasons and it was going to happen one day. The only difference is that 7 years ago when a Bose daughter/trixit bahu walked out of that house, with their child with *her* no one stopped her as strongly as another Bose daughter was stopped today. The reasons were not justified back then and they are totally wrong today. I hope Elena sees she is punishing her own son as much as Dev.

Nothing more to add tonight. Just want sonakshi to give Dev our love😭

After seeing last nights episode I am happy to note that Vicky has not changed - I have a feeling what's going to happen - Dev will eventually bring back Vicky and he would pretend to be nice and changed and then would throw Dixit family out of IN . Sona would take Dev, Suhana and Ishwari to the Bose house where Asha and Bijoy would take them in but I have a feeling that it would be Sourav (under the influence of Mrs Mondal) and not ronita who would create a problem, yesterday I was not happy with Sourav's words that he kept saying that he wanted to give his child the best - when Soha was young they did not have so much money, I presume - then didn't he feel the same way?
I also loved how Sona stayed by dev's side and offered him support that he was right and she was by his side. She knows the extent of his anger and the reason why he is no angry with him. She knows he is not as much angry with Vicky about trying to sell the software as much as he is about separating Sona and Dev and throwing the Boses out of their house,

I want to see how Elena reacts when Vicky throws them out of IN - she is such a selfish B***h that she will stay by vickys side because he is the one with the money now. Vicky was always bad but now she has also become the same way. What she did last night was use the love that Dev has for golu.

I am very sure devakshi's love for each other would help them emerge from this crisis much stronger.

Looking forward to the story ahead.

saw Friday's episode finally.
My guess is that vicky will alienate everyone against Dev. Should be interesting to say the least. I knew he never changed, i didn't buy it for a second. Everyone except Sona should apologize to Dev in the end when all this comes out. I feel bad for Golu most of all, what a horrible father he has.

On a surprising note, we got a really good sona/dev scene at the end, with a much much better hug than thursday ❤️
wasn't expecting any scenes of them today.
