@Sam, amazing write up. It did give a different perspective and felt positive about it. I felt he was giving Nisha an out. Usually when a boy says no to a girl, the society just assumes that there was something lacking in the girl. Just going by the way things are seen most of the time and not intended to hurt anyone. Here by saying what he did he is kind of becoming the bad guy, so the girl or her family are not looked at negatively. He is being a gentleman.

But there are so many things that are unclear too with the segments and talks of upcoming track. Sonakshi came only after Bijoy said go. But Dev had come to Sonakshi's engagement ceremony against Ishwari's wishes. So Sonakshi doesn't have to retrospect?. I mean will she continue to hide things from Dev or Ishwari and it will be ok. So she doesn't need to be transparent and it is only Dev who needs to be transparent. That she will continue with her idea of independence and being strong and take decisions single handedly, but Dev cannot take any decisions without discussing with Sonakshi. Will she stop Bijoy from interfering or interrogating Dev. Will she ever understand her role and her flaws and faults. Will she again abandon Dev when there is first sign of trouble.


Where does Mrs. Mandol's insecurity fit into all these. She would definitely be happy that Sonakshi is out of Bose house or will she be since Sonakshi leaving Bose house means her company going with her. Will she join hands with GKB to stop Dev and Sonakshi's marriage or later try to break that marriage or will instigate Saurabh to ask for partition in property including the company and thereby proceed that story forward.

@shaavi, I have a different POV after watching today's segments. As once you said, season 2 is a role reversal of season one like a mirror image. In today's one of the segment, if you observe bijoy said yes just for Sona's happiness just like once ishwari did for her son's happiness. I feel now the actual story as per the show tagline may start, a journey from a good mother to a good MIL because now ishwari is thinking like a mother. For bijoy to understand where he went wrong, this marriage is important because he needs to see her happy to understand his wrong judgement and treatment about Dev. Even Sona need to understand with trust and open communication how you can make your relationship a heaven and how she contributed in it's destruction previously. I don't know whether I am able to convey what I want to or not but I am really hopeful about the upcoming track mainly because of the Dev 2.0 as well as the changed dynamics in Dixit's family.

Sam, that was a marvellous write up as always. My own reactions to this track have astonished me (in a good way!). I started sensing dark romance at one point (especially when "Nisha came into the picture. But then her name gave me peace. Because all good things happen at night in KRPKAB). So, the way the last few days have gone, I am a very satisfied customer.👏

I won't blame Dev for mixing Payal with Nisha. I was doing that in my head too. Which makes me wonder how many times did he moan for Sonkakshi when he was in bed with all the Shurtis during his 7 year stint (I still hold by my original thought Dev was not celibate during their separation)??

My opinion on the "bahut der ho gayee" may also not be the same as many of you. I don't think Dev (or Sonakshi for that matter) had any doubts on their love. I think the shocking factor is how far into the deep seas Dev has had to follow his love and how much damage he has done to Nisha in that process. Thanks to the spoilers, I am assured that Nisha took the cue (Dev, tum sona-charitmanas bahut gate ho yaar! Fiance ke saamne chalu ho gaye.. hadd hai matlab). So I guess, der huee, but bahut nahi. (This 35 year old man's mortification at Elena having caught him waiting for his lover is what will remain with me for a very long time!)😳

As for Sonakshi's ego/doubts on their love. I don't think it's either. Both Dev and Sona now know that love is enough but the baggage needs to be dealt with. This track has been about helping Sona come to terms with why their marriage failed in the first place. It's not about the blame. It's about accepting that they allowed external factors to influence their unison.

I am cautiously holding onto my original thoughts, that Bijoy will lead Sona to Dev. Not literally. But, I guess, whatever little PPKR we get, will melt his heart and he will see how well Dev & Sona complement each other.

However, the highlight of this track and more or less this show so far has been how much sufiyana pyar needs the clutches of families to morph into life partner practicalities of the day to day. Like Sam said, Sona 1.0 (and more or less Devakshi 1.0) had this naive energy and optimism. However, every time an external factor found it convenient, they brutally exploited this couple. Only when the families came together and formed a qayanat/congregation, could this love survive the material world and as a result of that their families thrive (It's my pipe dream to see a S3 where Dev and Sonakshi are celebrating their 25^th wedding anniversary... yeah, I will dream on!). Otherwise, this connection is just that... a connection, a fleeting feeling of weightlessness and ecstasy. Both Dev & Sona 1.0 allowed themselves to fall in love with people who they thought were perfect life partners. Till their families met and all hell broke loose. This season in particular has been about that realisation on part of the families that love is above all. A Happy Devakshi will help you flourish. This is why Suhana was needed. Someone in whom everyone has vested interests.

Uff... aadat yeh galat lag gayee... KRPKAB, I already miss you😭

Are you sure any one other than you me and a handful of people like may be Mallika bother about Sona's realisation or whatever it can be termed as? The whole forum is so much into Dev's confession and Iswari's redemption which they feel is not sufficient.Sonakshi's faults or the flaws are never acknowledged by most of the viewers. Ditto is the case with Bijoy. So I feel Sonakshi's drawbacks will never be brought into limelight.

The makers already made Iswari submit herself before Sonakshi so many times since she realised her part in Dev and Sonakshi's separation. Similarly Dev also accepted his part and begged pardon. He took all blame on himself for whatever happened in the past. But Sonakshi did not do any such thing Apart from saying separation happened due to both of them failing miserably in saving their marriage she did nothing .

No such retrospection will happen in case of Sonakshi. I sincerely feel so.
