Some more symbolisumes from the yesterday's episode. First of all the camera angle which was set for the dev and sona communication was perfect especially when the baba bose and ishu mata was listening the conversation. It was too apt. There was lot of symbisumes in the batti gul shot which I overserve when I see the episode today again. If we consider the power cut as a problem then first dev goes to solve it and then sona come forword but in beteween dev finds sona and make sure she is with him and understands that she is afrid of this sitution little bit and make sure she is with him. And she also stop him from going away so in short if problem is going to appear they will face it together and with each othet as I have mentioned in my pervious post. But the point I observe is how rest of the character reacts. E.g baba bose he start walking with out having any idea where the path is going to lead him and in this process he ended by hurting his mother unknowly and get scrolled by his mother. In the same way baba bose is going to be get lost in the path due to his fear, pride and heartrate and going to hurt his family and may get scrolled by his mother. And in case of ishu mata she listens what dev has told her and don't leave the pace so she is safe. Same is applied to asha and ronita ,dada and mamji also and at the same time mamji try to make sure no one get hurt. So in the problem these character will be firm on their places. And in case of mami she was looking for red and find herself where she don't want to go. So in the problem she will look for the red and the get comfort from the unexpected person. This is my take.

Elena finally took a stand for her son." You won't be there in Golu's future" she warned Vicky.

Elena's ch always interested me. She is a complicated ch for me to understand. But her above dialogue certainly helped me realise the true person under the garb of an impulsive,easy going ,simple and non interfering girl that we very much like to overlook or sideline.

Elena loved Vicky to the extent of leaving her family for the sake of her love. She is in total contrast to Sonakshi who choose her parents over her lover,husband and family life.

Elena survived in IN surprisingly . For a girl who is so outgoing,and uninhibited in adopting western culture be it her dress sense or her friend circle,it really must be so difficult to say the least. But she emerged successful in maintaining the balance without losing her core ch.

Elena is a non interfering Bahu for both GKB and Iswari. She stayed away from inhouse administration and kitchen supervision. She, like Sona is not adept in those matters so she preferred to have a safe distance from such responsibilities. Iswari withdrew into her lonely life and GKB liked just what Elena did. Leaving everything to her.

With Golu's birth Elena got more appreciation from her inlaws .She gave a future hope to Dixits and Tripathis. Like most of the viewers I also thought Elena did not care for her cute Golu and neglected him. Dev was the one who took Golu into his loving and protective arms.But now I understood why Elena did so.

Elena's equation with Dev since the begining is very special.She is the one who witnessed the love story with enthusiasm and felt sad when things did not work for them. The break up left Elena stand alone,away from her own family especially from the sister she loved heartfully. She saw before her eyes how shattered Dev was and how he moved away from his goddess like mother.

Elena knew how much Dev loved children Ofcourse from Sona may be. The way Dev held Golu when Elena just came with the new born showed his intense love for the infant. Elena is the one who like Asha refused to accept that finally it is curtains down for Dev and Sona. So she must have felt Golu could fill up the void and bring sunshine into Dev's Sonaless life. What she wished became true. Dev survived separation mostly due to Golu.

I always feel so touched when Elena calls Dev 'Dev Bhai" She pours all her affection into those words. Elena is confident that Dev still loves Golu as much as before though Soha grabs all his attention now. She is not insecure. She is mature enough to understand the trivialities of relationships.

So when Vicky revealed his selfish motives to make Golu the sole successor of Dev,she thought it is high time she should show Vicky the real picture. She declared her Golu will carve his life on his own. She very much will make him do so. If Vicky still insists on continuing with his schemes and plans he will lose his place in Golu's life." You won't be there in Golu's future." She warned.

These words are not uttered by a wife who willingly stood by her husband tearing off her connections with her own people. These words mark the strength and Charecter of a mother who wishes prosperity for her child not as charity but through hard work and competence.

I hail the CVs for Elena's charecterisation. Surely she impressed me. undoubtedly.

@Lakshmi, Nice post about Elena's transition in this show. Beauty of this show is that along with the 3 lead characters each and every character has their own story & journey.

I strongly believe that Life is all about making choices. When Dev choose Ishwari's life over Sona's love OR when Ishwari choose her family's security over her son's happiness OR when Bijoy choose his ego, pride, self respect over his daughters married life OR when sona choose her family over Dev's love OR when Elena choose her marriage life over etc..., everything is about their choice which is completely based on their priorities in life. There is no right or wrong choice and there is no mahaan or monster here. At the end its all about making memories and learning lessons and moving forward in our journey.

True Latha. You said it and it is a fact.choices depend upon our perspectives. I never took Elena seriously but now I understood her mindset.

Just watched yesterday's episode now...

Frankly, count me out from this week's discussions... The only time when I could probably post an analysis of some sort... Is during the weekends...

On a personal note, I definitely am enjoying this mature and calm side of Dev so much... It is a pity that my workload has increased, just as the story is getting more interesting...

Loved @Lakshmi take on Elena's character growth... You are right, sometimes, we get so much lost in interpreting Devakshi and the other major players in the story that we tend to ignore other characters who are also silently telling us their stories...

What happened to our thread? Only 2pages after I left yesterday. Is it because we don't have nothing much to dissect or is it that we are just waiting to see how things are shaping up?

@Lakshmi - I think yesterday's episode didn't have much to analyse, except for the Elena part, which you have explained beautifully. 👏👏👏, for the same. The first time someone did an analysis on Elena was Tia (dreamy.tiara) in page 51 of Week 8 Analysis thread (when for the first time Elena threatens Vicky of leaving him). That too was a nice analysis and in that she had mentioned that Elena would have stayed back only because she saw what Golu meant to Dev. It is nice to see how the CVs are gradually unfolding Elena's character in line with the story. Whether she along with Golu will help in Vicky's reformation or not, it's yet to see.

@Timba, your last 3 posts were excellent, especially on the symbolism part. How you saw the current visit of the Bose family to the Dixit mansion as a parallel to their first visit was really something I never thought of. And that has lighted up my expectations of things soon turning out in Devakshi's favour.

@Geena...I also got emotional when I saw the little munchkins lighting the candle and adding to it was the BGM, the same one which played during Dev-Sona's patch up after the first breakup and also when Sona asked Dada to be her partner in the business as her Bhaidooj gift, with the Bose family hug followed...😭

@Mahua - Replying to your query on what made the growth happen in Dev is his realization that Ishwari never had a problem with Sona as an individual. Though earlier also he knew it, he was more focused on the fact that Ishwari was having problem with Sona as Dev's wife. So, being the Dev Dixit who thought nothing is impossible for him, he set out on the mission of getting Sona accepted by Ishwari. But now, as he agreed before the supreme power that he is nothing, his clouded vision was gone and it is after that he hears Ishwari & Mamiji's convo in the hospital. That is when he realizes that instead of getting Sona accepted by Ishwari, he had to be the bridge between them. And yesterday's confession was the aftereffect of this realisation. Hope you feel good now...😊

@Chitra - haan...aap sahi thi. hamesha ki tarah, CVs ne humein surprise kar diya...aur BD ne itna bada suspense dikhake humein, nahin, muje ullu bana diya...
