Today's episode was good in terms of execution, direction and humor but it did not take forward the story of the main characters. However, the good thing about it was that it was about the side characters.
The parallels which I observed in today's episode:
Parallels:
1. The hidden parallel of today's episode was shown in Saurav- Ronita's stance regarding the incident. Today, Ronita acted like Dev and Sauruv acted a bit like Sonakshi. How did I conclude that? During the infertility track as well as Aunty calling track, Dev was vexed and perturbed regarding Ishwari's stance but the emotional trigger that is generated in Dev's brain due to Ishwari's extreme behavior stopped him from voicing out his opinion whereas Sonakshi after hiding her concerns for some time, unequivocally addresses them to Ishwari. Similarly, Ronita hid her emotions from Asha and Bijoy whereas Sauruv openly addressed his angst. In both the situations, one of the partners hid his/her emotions from the person/people affecting him/her while the other one clearly addressed his/her concerns.
2. Jatin and Sona working together as a team where Sonakshi's concerns and worries were given more importance than Jatin's was similar to Dev-Sonakshi working together to find Ishwari after the disclosure of infertility secret where Dev's concerns and worries were given more importance as compared to Sonakshi's. In both the scenes, the missing person was deeply hurt due to misconception created by the incidences they observed and ran away from the house whereas the people finding them held finding the missing person as their top priority.
3. Asha and Bijoy did not intend to make Ronita feel like an outsider just like Dev who did not intend to make Sonakshi feel like an outsider but their actions were misinterpreted.
4. Ronita's mom's feelings after knowing about the incident are similar to Bijoy's feelings after the cancellation of honeymoon.
5. Finally, the last parallel I observed was Saurabh's feelings regarding his parents actions. Saurabh was clearly upset that Sonakshi's problems and sorrow was given more importance as compared to his happiness and well being. He opines that his happiness (Ronita) is not given importance since it is overshadowed by Sonakshi's troubles which is how Dev felt during the cancellation of his honeymoon where he expresses that his happiness (spending time with his wife) is not given importance as compared to Neha's tribulations.
Deductions:
- Sauruv is a neglected child and holds his grudges against Bijoy who preferred Sonakshi as compared to Sauruv. Before his marriage, he did not need to stand up for himself as he was contented with the way things were and got his due share of warmth and love from Asha. But after marriage, he feels the need to stand up for himself as he won't be able to make his wife comfortable in the house if he is not able to convey his discomfort and restlessness to Bijoy as Asha and Bijoy collectively take decisions for the house. So in-order to make Ronita comfortable in his house, he has to make Bijoy listen to his angst and worry. Although Sauruv was feeling the same way Dev felt, he acted like Neha and vented out what was troubling him which made him look like he was being rude.
- Like I mentioned Asha and Bijoy did not intend to make Ronita feel like an outsider but their actions were misinterpreted which led to Ronita's disappointment. Unlike Sonakshi, Ronita did not voice out her concerns but Bijoy comprehended that something was disturbing her and asked her. When she says that she is missing her parents, Bijoy wanted to abate this emotional stress by calling her parents. In contrast to this, Ishwari did not even make an attempt to address Sonakshi's concerns which were conspicuous although she kinda knew how she felt. Instead of helping her out, she sends her to her parents house not because she was worried for her but wanted to stop her meddling and validate her outsider theory.
- After the Boses get to know Ronita's problem, they felt bad about it and tried to explain Ronita regarding not telling her and clear out her misconceptions. Dev tried clearing out misconceptions but failed to explain the problem to Sonakshi (Dreadful Past and Ishwari) whereas Ishwari neither attempted to clear them out nor felt bad about it.
- I must confess Vicky-Elena's romance is not something I was looking forward and still don't. But after their romance, they tried to put themselves in Devakshi's shoes and wanted to play good parents but failed miserably since their efforts did not have the conviction needed. Both used different styles of parenting and did not work as a team . While Vicky wanted to beat and scold Golu, Elena wanted to explain things to him. Both were wrong since Golu required some understanding as well as a little scolding. Scolding was required to make Golu understand his mistakes while understanding was required to calm Golu down.
- Sonakshi is too perceiving and understanding which is why she, after showing her anger, calms down and tries to ponder the situation by looking at all the people's perspective provided she has knowledge regarding it. She does not explicitly voice it out to the concerned party but she does ponders. She was angry at Dev for breaking up with her but she realized why did Dev break up with her although she did not voice it out to Dev. Similarly, she understood Dev's stance regarding buying Ranveer flat , the reason why Dev cancelled his honeymoon, made her wait on his Birthday and lied about her infertility (with a little help from Asha). She understood Ishwari's insecurity aas well regarding sharing Dev's love to some extent and tried to reduce it by helping her with the things she liked the most like managing house chores, trying to stand out as a good bahu in front of Dadi Bua, help her in solving house problems, Neha issue and birthday planning. This perceiving and understanding attribute came in front of us when she understood Dev's hurt and his feeling regarding loosing her after being made aware of it and is trying to help him out by conveying her thoughts which is why she desperately wants to find him.
Important mentions:
- My thought regarding Khatri fell flat as the creatives of the show themselves forgot that Ishwari refused to give money to Khatri.
- Moreover, he refused to take money from Sonakshi but only wants Ishwari's and Dev's money. He considers Sonakshi as an outsider but not Ishwari and Dev.
- Khatri is furtively Desi FLASH (time travelling DC comic character) as he was able to record Ishwari's confession in a time where CD's were unknown.
- The cars that passed by Radha Rani are owned by Dev and Vicky. The white car is Dev's car and the black Honda is Vicky's car. Seriously, someone should have informed Radha Rani about Dev's taxi service so that she could stop looking for a taxi.
- One more thing, the tempo driver has mastered Einstein's theory of relativity as he was also driving the white car along with the tempo.
- I just hope that the marriage prediction also falls flat like my thoughts on Khatri. Why I think it can fail is because Dev got everything where he lost his everything in front of his old house (confession track). Then he lost everything and got everything in front of the Boses house (Ritwick Sona track and the proposal). He lost his everything in the farmhouse and will get his everything in the same farmhouse. So keeping that in mind, after Ishwari's theft disclosure, Dev might move with his family to the same farmhouse where he lost everything and will lose Ishwari in IN. After Ishwari's introspection, he will finally get his everything i.e; full family in IN.
