@ DQ- I get it if a person who is not really a millionaire faces these question marks.

But Dev was a CEO. He was sitting an writing company policies. Ensuring his company has diversity employees(I believe so ...) He can't be shown clueless on how to secure future of young girls.

Somehow unable to buy it. Ishwari thought of prenup... Why did that not trigger Dev into writing an even better division of property without depriving anyone of their rights.

Sign the goddamn prenup and throw it out of the way. He knew Sona is not after money, so what difference it makes. Assign some property to all people including Mamaji and family?

Dev did stop Mamiji many a time when she was insulting Sonakshi as his wife (Bose house stay, Neha issue) and collectively stopped Ishwari, Neha and Mamiji during Ayaan track. He also supported Sonakshi when she astutely takes a dig at Mamiji on the Moo Dikhai ceremony. The only times he did not support her was when the emotional trigger generated by Ishwari's extreme behavior took over his rationality. Equate it to the phenomenon of hypnosis where the hypnotised person knows what he is doing but does not know the reason for his behavior. The trigger that is generated is due to the emotional abuse which blinds his thoughts. He knows he is wrong but does not know the emotional abuse he is facing.

Perfectly explained. Dev did support Sona in all the above mentioned instances. Like you said whenever Iswari pressurised him through her extreme behaviour he succumbed to her though in his conscience he clearly knows the facts. Your comparison with hypnosis holds true here.

Vicky 's appointment in a crucial post due to Iswari's emotional blackmail is a glaring example for this. Doesn't Dev the smart business tycoon know that it is against business ethics to appoint a raw candidate like Vicky in such an important post? He knows still he is helpless and like a hypnotised person does what Iswari asked him to.

Always liked your posts. You analyse people and situations so well.

Hi every one now I am at my safe place where I can pen down my thoughts. From Yesterday and today there are so many thoughts are coming in my mind some are related to my previous post and the thoughts I was having now the different way How i am able to see the another side of that thoughts. Now Coming to the yesterday's episode I like the fact that Sona has understand the importance of Trust. The moment she tell dev that she trust him he listened every thing and understands every thing. He accepts his mistakes in case of her and their relationship. Sona also accepts thet she lost the trust in the dev and their love. but ones again the point which I observe is that when the Ishu's the truth related to the theft come out the dev was shocked for some time but not surprised. Because he has already accepted ishu as a human so he understands why she must have done it. So he started to blame himself and sona was trying to get him out of his guilt which is related to the past. And the hug was the start to their new relationship which they are going to start from the scratch. So I loved the way Cv's has shown it.

Now coming to the fact that what ishu has done in the past is right or wrong. The answer is what ever she has done is wrong because you cannot harm the another person to fulfill your own need. But this is also the fact that this is not the reason for which dev will fight or leave Ishu. Because what ever she has done at that point she has done for her and her families survival. so this raise another question that if whatever is done by Ishu at the point can be get forgive easily. She should get punished. Most of us want that what ever she has done wrong for that she should get punished. And all of us some where in out mind decided her punishment. And when we are not able to see that we get dis pointed. Like from my point of view for the which insecurity and selfishness she done wrong things in her son's life her son should leave her at least for some time by which she will come back to her seances. So I was always waiting for the the major showdown between the dev and ishu. Because some one that is dev should tell he what wrong she has done. But suddenly the thought come in my mind that I am not the person who is going to decide how any one is going to be get punished for his or her doings. It will be get decided by the God with the help of wheel of Karma.

Ishu has done the wrong thing by steeling the money or jewelry from the marriage home before 1 day the actual marriage. And many of the person get dis pointed that for this she is not going to get any punishment. But I feel now that she has already pay the price for her crime by when her 2 children have fail marriage and they have to suffered the pain. The crime which she done for her son that is dev have suffered 7 years of his life due the his failed marriage . and what ever the other wrong things which she has done for that also she had paid the price because the moment she get succeeded to separate dav and sona. She lost the dev for 7 years. and she get some part of dev back when sona entered in dev's life again with soha . And I think she will get this punishment unless and until she understand her mistakes and accepts it. I think the moment she understand this she will get back what she has lost (or may be going to lost is she don't understand this.) The only part is the way I want she should be get punish her punishment is of different kind.

And about the guilt which dev is having and the about the past by which Ishu can control the dev again . Then this is not possible because the dev's future is waiting for him in the form of soha and sona by which Ishu cannot pull him back to the past. So slowly when dev and sona become the friend once again and communicate with each other and trust on each other ishu cannot pull him to the past.

Now In one of the post their was the talk about the mamiji how ishu never stop her before and after the sona's entry in the dixti's life the answer is that the "Ehassn" done by mamaji and then due to her insecurity she used mamji for her manipulations . And now the same kind of "ehasan" is done by soan on the ishu from her point of view so she like it or not she will keep quite and in case of sona 's place in dev and soha's life at least for some days and mean while dev and sona's bond will be get stronger so I feel no repetition of past. I hope I am able to convey what I want to.

Great analysis by everyone. I have mostly been a silent member here and enjoy reading all the brilliant write ups.

I really liked today's episode. It was emotional and Dev break down was natural. He blamed himself for staying away from his mother and not been able to become her confidant. He thinks he was not able to protect his mother from Khatri and his breakdown was natural. Sona is the one who understands his situation, she has seen him blaming himself for everything and like a supporter she helped him to regain his confidence. They both are more of each other support system or friends rather than lovers or husband wife ATM.

Talking about eight year old dev's FBs, i might be in minority but i liked them. I was able to connect with them just like i used to do during initial episodes. It is shown to the depth of mother son relationship and what struggles they have faced to reach this place. It is not to glorify them but to show the reason of their actions, behaviour and deeds.

No matter what all Ishwari has suffered but her role in Devakshi's separation cannot be ignored. She was wrong at many places and that has to be accepted. In similar way no one can take away her struggles and hard work, what she put in to raise her family. They are not to justify her actions but also should not be ignored just bcz she wronged sonakshi. Those FBs were very emotional in sense to show why Dev feels gratitude towards his mother.

I am still looking forward to whole stealing mystery and somehow i will go with Shaavi's prediction. Also, her point of absolute and relative morality was spot on. It varies from person to person. Infact Kohlberg also mentioned in his theory of moral development. People raise to post conventional level of morality and right and wrong becomes "subjective" rather than driven by universal ethics. Dev has always been in this stage of morality and for him it matters.

There is lot of talks going on "empowering " neha by Dixits. She never went to school and Ishwari had no option but to make her sit at home to look after her two younger sisters. It was very bad at Neha's part bcz she miss education. Now only education or financial independence can empower a person? They can surely be one of the tools for empowerment but not the end. N we never got to see that Dev or ishwari tried to tell her the importance of education or asking her to join some course. May be they have talked about it, but Neha was always shown dominating and bringing bitter old memories everytime. She wanted to learn English, but when dev tried to help her, she blatantly refused. So it is possible that they have tried but failed to convince her. N no one could have forced her to complete her education or join some course. N dev was always burdened with his mother n neha's ehsaans that he did whatever they said and didn't questioned them back.

Just one random observation, i was watching old episodes and realised one thing, Dixits never stopped maami from spitting venom. She was taken as straight forward lady with again burden of her ehsaans. N no one took her seriously. When neha agreed to marry ranveer, she taunted her in front of everyone. But both ishwari n dev kept quiet and only opened their mouth once in blue moon. Just like sona said to dev mamaiji kuch bhi bol dete hai.

Few more things,

If sona wouldn't have called driver, we would have got bike ride. :/ But as Dev was lil drunk and lost so that was the best option i suppose.

Elena was with Golu throughout and i guess she is watching the ignored and irritated golu. I really feel sad for him and i hope we see golu- sona bonding in future.

Lastly, i would like to give two tuckin pins to Mr. Dixit, sometimes his julfien are complete mess and cover his eyes and sometimes they are very distracting.

But skills in your profession field don't necessarily translate to the same skills in your personal life. Sona is an excellent nutritionist... but the person who needed those skills the most, her brother, didn't get the benefit from that expertise.

From far its looks so easy for Sona to be able to get Saurabh on the right track in regards to his weight... but when you step in that person's shoes you realize its not so simple. Its why as doctors we are advised not to treat ourselves or our family members because we can't be trusted to be objective.

With Dev he wasn't seeing his sisters as employees, he was seeing them as his sisters, where he was primarily tasked with following his mother's plans for their future.

Dev may have been a millionaire but most of what he had would've been invested within the company. I don't think its as simple as dividing up the property. If anything he'd have to issue shares to his family members.. but that comes with its own complications as to whether or not they'd have voting rights which in turn may affect his ability to keep control over the company which could result in loss of investor confidence etc. It was a case where Dev and Ishwari would've had to sit down and make a lot of decisions that they likely hadn't thought of. Its not like they grew up in a business family.. this was all new to them.

Hey

I am completely shaken by what happened yesterday..I am still not convinced ..as it looked too abrupt to me..very sudden

I still cant figure out what triggered them which made them pour out everything so easily..What made Sonakshi trust him..what made Dev so understanding towards her..I simply cant fathom the reason of it ..And same with today's episode..like W*F..its like how memory is deleted with delete button in computer..everything is wiped off..totally in matter of few seconds..as in 7 years of their life.. what ever happened on their breakup day..prenup..what all happened in Bose house post leap during 1 week stay or what ever grudges they had..what all complaints they had.. oh they had such a huge baggage it looks like everything is gone just like that and I was in some other zone..cant see a very satisfying reason for this realization..this could have happened with Tara mandol bag chori case but that time Sona's reaction was atleast understandable to me..This time it didnt make any sense with me & I was left totally clueless..I always wanted things to move gradually with Ishwari's presence and this trio realizing where and how they went wrong..situations arriving parallels happening to make them face their mistakes one by one whether its trust,breaking promises with Dev Sona gave to each other,not understanding each other, blaming each other rash decisions reactions ..basically everything but but..SIGHH

Nothing much to contribute here since I seriously need LOT and LOT of time to get in terms with this huge turn their equation has taken..coz what ever and what all I assumed all that has been washed off quite swiftly by CVs..You can never ever predict what they are upto..and now I am blank with how they are gonna progress ahead

Seriously need sat sun break to refresh myself coz episodes are too stressful oh damnn.

PS Oh Can Soha stop saying my parents perfect my fahtr best prefect repeatedly please..Honestly its annoying now..Her behavior is little irritating to me..

@bashingHater... I really agreed with your previous comments in regards to the emotional abuse inflicted on Dev. I didn't have time to comment last week. But I definitely see Dev as a victim of narcissistic emotional abuse from Ishwari (I'd argue even to some degree from Sona). His reaction to taking all the blame of the theft from Ishwari on to himself is really reflective of that. He so easily believes he wasn't a good son, brother, or husband because for so long he has only felt that his worth is directly related to whether he can keep people happy. He hasn't yet reconciled what was a reasonable and what was an unreasonable expectation from him.

When I watched today's episode, I remembered this post that I made long ago. I remembered this post due to Dev's words where he says Ishwari told that he was not her shadow, but her "saathi". He also continues that he wanted to be her "sahara".

This is the part I am referring to --

When Dev started working outside and earn for the family, Ishwari saw him as a partner - not necessarily as a husband, but definitely as a partner. She does know consciously that Dev is her son. With all the circumstances they had to face, Ishwari has developed this illusion that Dev is both her son and partner. Dev has fueled it too by constantly putting her on the pedestal and iterating that she is the most important person in his life.

If you tell yourself something for a long time, even if it is a lie you still end up believing it as the truth. Ishwari is now so caught up with her delusions that she is no longer able to separate that from reality. Hence she looks at Sonakshi as "the other woman" in Dev's life... All her insecurities stems from this when she sees Dev with Sonakshi being with each other excluding her.

Im not able to understand what do the hell i want cos everything is sooo rushed.n abrupt..Though i like wat they spoke but i cant fanthom why did they in the first place n what prompted them to open up so easily with forgivness n sort out issues like that

.its like i was craving for my biryani,ate it but wasnt satisfied...😆
