And if he did loss would be Bose family's, not his.

Remember that Sona still feels he made them homeless 7 years

If CVs wanted to show some good sexually charged scene create a situation where Sona is not made to chose difficult trade-offs. Here it appeared like she chose to remain silent for the sake of her family's honor. There could be numerous ways, but may be she was so surprised and didn't have enough wits to react or wriggle out of situations intelligently.

Let me change the scenario. Jatin calls her on some pretext and tries to act fresh. Let's for a moment imagine that he got so desperate in love that he did it.

What would Sona do? Stay quite because it is saurabh ceremony or give him one tight slap?

Would she ensure that she is not molested or worry about log kya kahenge. There is a limit of thinking about log kya kahenge. It might extend to shouting in public, appearing half dressed or behaving like a joker . But it never extends to compromising your dignity. Especially for a woman.

No woman would allow unwarranted advances from a man just for the fear of creating a public scene - I am not discussing other forms of blackmail here.

While helping Dev wear the dhoti what prevented Sona from kneeing him in the groin when he started acting smart.
Or Pushing strongly or stomping on his foot. Or just one good old slap or box in the eye to tell him to stay within limits. Whatever Dev is, he is not a rapist.

JShukla my ophthalmologist comment was only targeted at myself. Because when I got up there was such a hue and cry all over that it left me bamboozled as to what everyone saw that I didn't. It wasn't meant to mock you or anyone

Thoroughly enjoyed reading different posts, different view points. Yesterday's episode truly was debatable. Again so much noise about the way Dev handled the dhoti issue. Of late I got used to the outbursts that obviously are directed mostly towards the male lead and I expected it will happen for this episode also. It is fine since we as individuals are at liberty to think in our own way and express ourselves free of pressure. This place fortunately creates such ambiance for co existence and free expression without maligning each other for being different in approach and thought process.

To me the issue of man handling did not exist at all. Sona willingly went to him though she had other options to help him wear the Dhoti. Dev put pressure on her, pulled her, twisted her arm, still Sona did not react the way she should have,if she felt he was crossing the limits

. We should call it manhandling if the lady in question raised her voice or tried to slap anything like that. Sona did not do so. To me it is not because he is her husband( I still don't know if they are legally separated) I say the two persons here Dev and Sona never wiped off each other's image from their hearts. They have soul connection. Dev loses himself before her and she just stays within his reach and submits her heart and soul. She may scold him or threaten him but the fact remains that the love reigns supreme. The passion that never got lost in all these seven years is making its presence felt slowly but surely. Rekindling of romance between two loving hearts ,I take it that way.

Due to the above reasons I mentioned I loved the scene. It did not look forced. It looked just perfect, natural . Actually they looked like they continued from where they stopped just the day before. Wonderful scene enacted so nicely by both the actors.

I wonder why is Jatin still in the waiting wings with a lost face. Shouldn't he guess about the passion ,obsession love etc blossoming with so many colours? I hope he would leave wishing them a bright journey together in future.

Sorry for interrupting but I highly doubt the makers intended to show Sona being repulsed by the interaction (which is part of the problem IMO cos manhandling should not be romanticized but thats for another day). Dev will never create a scene in front of Soha. Am sure everyone understands that by now. And the whole manhandling was following with Dev calling her Ms. Bose and she calling him Mr. Obodro. You really think that a woman repulsed by the guy will react that way and refer to him using their own intimate nickname? My point is, the makers tried selling it as romance and sexual tension. Sona had multiple ways to wriggle out of it but she chose not to. Would she help Jatin tie his dhoti? Or just about any other friend of hers? Of course not. This doesn't change the fact that I find 'push-pull' romance in poor taste and there are million other ways to show sexual tension. That said, I really dint think of Sona as an unwilling victim there.

Payal and astrix90- I get you.
My issues are with romanticism of 'un romantic' behaviour. that's all.

So just like me many didn't like what was shown yesterday though my reasons differ from theirs...for some strange reasons I feel devakshi are not divorced...post breakup they had so many issues to settle so it was just forgotten🤢🤢🤢.. one e.g can be Dev-sona convo prior to the dhothi scene...unless you share an intimate relationship you willnt say that I will come out without wearing anything...that was more like a husband-wifie convo...I didn't like the dhoti scene, one of the reasons is the matter-of-fact attitude with which sona talked about Gajra...that was their intimate personal-much-relished-moment and I felt it was inappropriately quoted...with that reference Dev was in trance and me in transverse😆...I agree with Payal for stating how and why sona wasn't angry👏👏👏...if they want to create an intimacy between the leads they could have chosen other means...but my friend who is a TV serial buff told me it's very common in the TV series to show between estranged couples dhoti, massage scenes etc its an accepted norm it seems😡😡😡...
Bright sides of the epi : Soha was looking sooo cute, Sounitha has good chemistry and Asha was rocking...a BigHiFi to mamaji for taking Ishuma to VaishovDevi...but kudos to the actress she portrays so effectively her state of solitude and abandonment...

Yesterday was all about synergies.

Dev used Sona's idea of taking discreet photos and framed them with help from Soha.

You all know my obsession with textures, colours and dresses. Sona's get-up (and to your point Deepa) was very well put together. She has subconsciously picked the colours of the first saree Dev gifted to her (while Soha wore her first saree gifted by Dev at this occasion). She wore a Bengali look because she is trying to remain a "Bose" and working hard on portraying that. Dev brought down another Bose girl with him and completed the look. Sona's hair is tousled just like her inner self. She has gone from the straight talking Dr Bose to this person. The saree had heavy embroidery to compliment the function and more importantly to signify the baggage that she is still carrying. She also has this "single-but-not-ready-to-mingle" aunty air to herself.

There you have Dev. Appearing all lafanga-like in his Denims. Opposite of lafanga - guess what, Raja beta. Bijoy pushed him to become a Bose and in that process Dev will now become a Raja Beta (Ishwari would be so proud if she saw him). To become a Bose, Dev had to take Sona's help which he was only able to do because of the haq they have on each other (Thanks Saumie!). To add to what Sam said, to become a Perfect Raja Beta again, he has to first become a Bose this time. The end result is that Suhana will see her just perfect "Bose" parents.

Same is with Soha. She used the skills given by her mother to drape a gift given by her father.

Aint this a beautiful use of synergy?

Sam needs no GM validation no more. She pointed out an interesting GM exchange during that dhoti scene. And when she did that and I watched it again (and that is when I noticed Dev was wearing black shorts was it? ) and noticed that the dialogues were double meaning indeed!!!

Sona - andar dalo ise 😲
Sona - aage dekho. Lo dal lo.
Sona - maine kaha tha na seedhe khade rehena

Dev - Muh khula ka khula 🤬
Dev in DQ's imagination - kise kahan dalun?
