That's a very good point, Guddi. Asha is all heart and emotions and Bijoy is all mind and practicality. That's why they balance each other. And they also complement each other because when it comes to the ethics, morality, values - they are very similar. They both believe in open communication and open relationships. They are both very sure of each other's roles in life. They both take leads from time to time and follow the other when needs be. That's why their relationship work. And most importantly they have complete trust in their relationship because no matter how much Bijoy shouts and how angry Asha gets, they both never even thought of leaving each other nor told each other to get out. In Bijoy's mind, that house belongs to as much him and his mother as it belongs to Asha. Asha's respect is his respect, Asha's honour is his honour, Asha's dignity is his dignity.
Hence, Asha is secured and content in her place in the family.
Sona is truly lucky in the sense that she got such an example of balanced relationship in front of her.
Yes Tia, despite the outwardly difference of handling things, their basics or cores are very similar.. Transparency, honesty and unwavering support for each other is what they define. I still remember the episode where Asha promised Sona not to tell Bijoy about her feelings for Dev, the very next scene Asha goes and tells this to Bijoy. That's how a partner should be. 👏 Before being parents, Asha and Bijoy value each other as spouse and life-partner. 👏 This has happened to me many times in reality. I tell something to Maa and ask her to hide from Baba, within 1 day Baba mentions about that thing to me 😃😆 Initially it used to irk me, but then slowly I learnt that I am not the factor who binds my parents, in fact I am the product of them as an unit. 😉 And I try to maintain the same with my husband in my marriage. Kids or no kids, a couple's relationship should be unbreakable enough. That's why I was irked that Asha started hiding Sona's problems from Bijoy after her wedding, e.g. her waking up in the morning for Tulsi Puja, Dev's Birthday incident, Saurabh's business investment from Dev etc. And see where it landed them as a family.
Hope Asha learns it that it's Bijoy-Asha who need to exist as a partner first for their kids to learn from them. The moment Asha decides things for herself and Sona without consulting Bijoy, the example set is wrong. This is why I like Baba a lot. He is upfront, values Asha more than Sona and is able to provide rock-solid support to his daughter when in need. 👏 Baba doesn't hesitate to mention that the most loved person in his life is Asha 😊.
Gosh, I love Bose family as a whole. They compliment each other like no one. ⭐️
