I have always felt that Dev-Sona have a strangely balanced equation - by that I mean,
- they are not into one playing the "mahaan" card and the other the "victim" card- both stand up for themselves - there is no damsel in distress rescued by the knight in the shining armour or Sati Savitri saving her Satyavan- both have super interfering and opinionated parents - although the way both deal with it is different, again maybe because Dev's childhood has been shaky Vs a solid happy home for Sona- both have huge self respect (bordering on ego) and an unshakeable sense of right and wrong- both fight for what they believe is theirs and what they believe is rightGiven these, I feel branding that one loves more/better than the other is unfair ..one does not love the other more, both love with full passion, although the manifestations are different.. both have different pasts, which drives the way they respond to the present, that does not make one better/worse than the other..Although, as a woman, my first loyalty is with Sona, I cannot somehow accept that Dev will hurt Sona intentionally.. again, I dont know how biased I am since Shaheer plays Dev so well :)
Ahhh...if you felt I was trying to say she loved him more ...then I am sorry...I guess this feeling emerges when ppl talk about unconditional love rt ?? Because for most people unconditional love mean more love rt ?? Possessive or conditional love is less love...??
Where as I feel love cannot be quantified...and as I said in the previous post ...my reason for not talking more on Dev's love or his journey in this love story is because I haven't been able to decipher him...his character is 128 bit encrypted... 😆
