- they are not into one playing the "mahaan" card and the other the "victim" card
- both stand up for themselves - there is no damsel in distress rescued by the knight in the shining armour or Sati Savitri saving her Satyavan
- both have super interfering and opinionated parents - although the way both deal with it is different, again maybe because Dev's childhood has been shaky Vs a solid happy home for Sona
- both have huge self respect (bordering on ego) and an unshakeable sense of right and wrong
- both fight for what they believe is theirs and what they believe is right

Given these, I feel branding that one loves more/better than the other is unfair ..one does not love the other more, both love with full passion, although the manifestations are different.. both have different pasts, which drives the way they respond to the present, that does not make one better/worse than the other..

Although, as a woman, my first loyalty is with Sona, I cannot somehow accept that Dev will hurt Sona intentionally.. again, I dont know how biased I am since Shaheer plays Dev so well :)

Ahhh...if you felt I was trying to say she loved him more ...then I am sorry...I guess this feeling emerges when ppl talk about unconditional love rt ?? Because for most people unconditional love mean more love rt ?? Possessive or conditional love is less love...??

Where as I feel love cannot be quantified...and as I said in the previous post ...my reason for not talking more on Dev's love or his journey in this love story is because I haven't been able to decipher him...his character is 128 bit encrypted... 😆

i would want to see Dev and Sona express their love for each other but first I want Dev to confess his mistakes... Sona was never at fault.. and she loves him... Dev was at fault, but he still loves her. So it is incumbent on the person at fault to first confess..

Soha should never be the reason for love.

LOVE IS FOR FOOLS !! And very rightly said :-) ...you and your spouse are not the only ones in this groups...add me and my husband too...and I am sure there would be many more...

Eventually all these fools learnt to RISE IN LOVE...took time and a lot of it...but eventually managed...but that is not the case with Sonakshi and Dev...they are not able to get into that matured zone of love...I know initially that matured zone doesn't come easily to any one...

In this serial after 7 yrs nothing much has changed in their approach...because they are still at the same place they left...If Sonakshi is slowly but steadily falling for Dev again after seeing him with Soha...then Dev is slowly and Steadily moving away from her after seeing his daughter...

Sonakshi needs to understand that love for him shouldn't because of the love he showers on Soha
Dev Should understand that Soha is alive because his Sonakshi decided to carry on with the pregnancy and didn't try to terminate the pregnancy...

Sonakshi and Dev should love each other not for Soha but for themselves!!

@Aswathy
I truly hope the CVs show something mature and sensible.
Soha could be the factor for rekindling their love...or bringing to the fore the so-called hidden love they have for each other, but Soha should not be the reason of love.
Soha being the reason will mean they'll stay as parents all their life and not as life-partners. Its not going to solve any issues between them other than behaving with each other politely for the sake of Soha.

@Bold, You are saying they broke up because Sona chose her father's ego. Do you mean when Dev said 'Leave' and kept quiet when she asked 'Is this what you want?', Sona should have just stayed behind?

You also say Dev's love was unconditional but from the above it sounds like his condition was 'What ever I say, however it hurts you, you have to stay to prove your love'. No? If his love was unconditional why exactly did he let her walk away? Is it because she said 'I hate you. I shouldn't have married you. I am leaving'??

I am not saying Sona's love is unconditional. I believe, the amount of love you can give is unconditional but there is always a reason for love even if it is blind!

Say, I accidentally collide my car on to a cyclist outside my gate while reversing: However minor but an accident nevertheless. Isn't it my duty to apologise, take care of them until the ambulance arrives, give them my insurance details and then call my insurance company to say what has happened. Thats responsibility isn't it?

So why exactly didn't Dev go after Bijoy Bose and apologise? Why didn't he call Saurabh and Sona to discuss the implication of this incident on his investment in their mutual business now? What exactly was he waiting for? If Bijoy and Sona should have acted independently, should he have treated them independently? Asking Sona to come home and seeking forgiveness to Bijoy must have been two separate tasks?

Okay thats real life and Dev is a reel person. What beats me is why then do real people justify such reel characters. Reel or real right is right and wrong is wrong, No?

Jigsaw. ..don't want to remember that episode. Dev lacks basic humanity. He made homeless who are aged people. If I remember that..then I will have to question myself for my ethics for shipping devakshi. In reality u don't know what I would if my husband hurt my family. I am definitely not sonakshi. May be I would kill myself to love such person. I really go mad thinking that episode. I am just consoling my self that it is a fiction and b coz of sharica I am trying to ignore that episode.

I agree with you completely. Sona is struggling to maintain her emotions and Dev can already see this. Ishwari is going to use anything she can to make Suhana replace Bose with Dixit. Dev will also support her because he is blinded. He is not using his common sense.
Sonakshi's fear of losing Soha is genuine and I still feel she is being too lenient in giving exposure to the Dixit's because they are not normal. Any other family would respect Sona's upbringing and decision to let them meet Soha freely but not the Dixits. They want to possess everything like you said in your post.

I dont want Sona to lose Soha.

Wow. You said everything that was underlying with such beautiful usage of words. Couldnt agree more.

It's true that Sonakshi's love is unconditional and pure as gold. She falls in love basically with the life around her.
And now being the mother that she is, her unconditional love for her daughter has gone to some other untouchable level which is absolutely serene. Although her making the contract with Dev just in case Dev tries to do the unexpected would not have liked by many, she won't even think for a second before sacrificing her bond with her daughter only for the sake of her happiness.
And she wouldn't even mind giving anyone another chance just for her pure soul. In this case, it's Dev. She genuinely had fallen in love with the person he is in a gradual succession and not an overnight obsession.

Sona definitely is a beautiful character we got to witness through the show.

Just my POV. Feel free to disagree.😊

There is nothing to disagree...every one has the right to like or dislike a character for many reasons...

For me I have sympathies for Sonakshi thinking about the trouble she is going to face in future...but my fav character is Dev...I find him very very interesting...infact its his equation or lack of equation that makes the viewers hooked to this serial. If Dev was not so complicated and not filled with so much surprises I doubt if this story would have been so interesting...people feel Ishwari is the antagonist...but more than her actions its Dev's action or no action towards Sonakshi that is creating happiness or sadness among the viewers...

We feel Soha will not change ...but Soha is more like Dev she hides her feelings because she doesn't want to hurt her mom and Bose family...this will again bring in more misery for Sonakshi when she gets to know that Soha has been hiding just like how Dev used to...its very evident that child is attracted to her father...and its ONLY a matter of time she would want to live with him...and if they plan to live at Dixit house then god bless Sona...she is definitely bound to lose Soha and be on the wrong side of Dev...because Ishwari will starting making a fuss about the way in which Soha should be brought up ...and again I doubt If Dev will stand by Sona...Soha will enjoy the pampering ...
Soon we will see another fall out and this time I think she will move out for ever...more like ...a renunciation

No; I think this time cvs will show viewers a different side of Dev; may be he would stand by Sona when she would need him or cvs can take another route if Soha would go to stay with Dixits; Vicky and GKB wouldn't tolerate it for any long and somehow or the other they would bring out the truth in front of Soha how her mother was thrown out by her dad and how her dad and dadi insulted her mom and her family and even made them homeless; and I still feel calling Dev as dad would be like a short term process; coz Vicki and GKB would definitely do something they won't keep quite and like last time they succeeded in breaking Devakshi relationship this time they would try to make Soha hate Dev and if the show runs for a year long with too many MU; hatred between Soha and Dev she would force Sonakshi to marry Jatin coz he is still here to stay

And yes Soha may definitely love all the pampering and luxury life style in Dixit house but she can never stay happy there for long that too without Sonakshi and this realization will hit Dev and Ishwari when after pampering and loving her she would keep missing her mother.. this is how I see; coz cvs can't show a repeation of S1; viewers would get bored; so definitely cvs will show a different side of the story
