Aswarthy, I don't think Sonakshi ever fell out of love completely. She buried her feelings under layers of responsibility, hurt, pain, duty and kept herself busy. But the love was always there. Which is why she could not say anything negative to Soha about Dev.
She stopped thinking that she will ever get back with Dev, but she never wanted Dev to be unhappy. So when Dev showed that he is doing great, she didn't interfere and minded her own business. But fate kept dropping her on Dev's doorstep.
However, what I'd advise to Sonakshi is what I tell everyone. Love is idiot. But life is not a game an idiot can play and win.
Yes, we love people in our life and we want to make them happy. But at the end of the day, they are not the ones living our life. We are.
If Sonakshi goes back to Dev for Soha. Five things she needs to consider.
1. She won't know if Dev would have ever fought for her instead of getting her as default as a gift from someone else he loved - Ishwari/Soha.
2. Dev will never know if Sonakshi would have ever returned to him if Soha didn't blackmail her. So the insecurity and mistrust Sonakshi faced in season 1, Dev will face now.
3. What will happen when Ishwari again starts interfering and tries to modify Soha? Will Sonakshi be able to take it? Will Dev support her this time whom he brought back because he loves Soha when he never supported Sona when he brought her back into his life because he loved her?
4. What will happen when Soha grows up and gets married/moves on with her life? If they tie a relationship using her as superglue, what will keep them together then? Won't they regret wasting their life when they each could have lived their life pursuing their own happiness, instead of wasting it to make someone else happy? They tried to make everyone happy last time. Did it work? Were they happy? No. They argued and fought every other day vs. romancing each other.
5. And what about the main reason for their break up? Dev's habit of lying, his never keeping his promises, him never taking responsibility for his actions, his past record of womanizing which in a small city like Delhi bound to show up in front of Sona, him shifting the blame for his actions on Sona every time? Can Sona live with them knowing that she can never rely on his words, or his promises or depend on him to stand by her or take responsibility for his actions?
As I said, if Sona makes the same stupid mistake again to make Soha happy, that's the life she will be stuck with where that suffocating outsider feelings and never belonging anywhere will be the only companion she will get for life.
Physical attraction comes and goes and as you grow older, they matter less than emotional contentment and peace of mind which Sona won't get with Dev as he is right now.
So, Sona, by all means, continue to love. That's free and all your own choice. But if you think that going back to Dev will erase your problems, then actually it's the opposite. It will pacify Soha temporarily, but when she sees how unhappy you are and Ishwari starts to modify her taking away all her choices, all romantic notion of being with both mummy and daddy together will fly out the window. That is if she still has any concern for you.
But by that time, even if Soha wants you to separate again, you won't be able to do it because you'd have had three strikes by then by the same man in the similar circumstances because of your idiocy.
