This was my absolutely fav moment..It was deep, had so much meaning..Their tensed body language was very intriguing for the first time it showed the gap of 7 years between them..I can go on and on describing it..Heartfelt scene :)
@Pooja 118 Thanks for reminding their conversation..Some sequences are so beautifully conceptualised..This was one of them :)

@sjain this shows the emotional connect we have with the show...we remember each and every scene in S1 and try to connect the dots also...I expected Dev to watch from far Sona drinking the khada...that would have been an icing on the cake...the eyelock scene was very subtle...loving the subtility of the not-so-perfect couple portraying love - hate relationship in the most convincing manner...thats the key strength of KRPKAB

Thanks everyone who liked my analyses! It's so great being back "home" 😃

And especially @Deepuuu 🤗 Thanks for the warmest of welcomes. It feels good to be missed so much! Since DQ and you are sooo innocent, I don't want to corrupt your minds with my GM thoughts. 😳

Then again, hand-tying, blindfolds, and wet, transparent ti-shirts speak for themselves, no? 😈

I loved yesterday's epiosde. I can't deny that logic went to DQ's bhaad to get some oil, but since I never watched this show for logic in the first place, seven murders are forgiven (XGKB might be rubbing off on me a little bit). Here are some observations.

First of all, Ishwari being supportive and hands-off? What parallel universe are we living in? 😲 This was my initial reaction to her gentle guidance and genuinely helpful advice so I thought a lot about it. The way I see it, Soha dancing in the rain is precisely the kind of careless, childish behaviour she wanted to see in her grandchild. In her school of thinking, parents should be the ones to take care of the consequences and kids should just be allowed to do whatever they want. She was not able to be that kind of parent for Dev, and so she delights in helping him be there in that capacity for Soha. I also liked that they are showing Dev making mistakes -- he is learning after all, and Ishwari's advice that parents learn with their children was very well placed, as many of you have pointed out.

Again, I thought the kaadha was very symbolic. Ishwari was an excellent parent to Dev when he was a small child. She gave him all the necessary tools to make something of himself while maintaining his integrity and being very grounded. Even in success, she never forgot where they came from, and on on occasions of great celebration (like Diwali), made sure to remember those less fortunate. Dev got a lot of his best qualities from her. It was only in the transition from parenting a child to parenting an adult that Ishwari failed. Her "kaadha" no longer worked on an adult Dev, who needed what Sona could give him to be cured of his "illnesses," but Ishwari's expertise was still perfectly suited to cure a baby Soha. This moment made her skills relevant again... Dev really needed her help, and that is when Ishwari sheds her insecurities and really shines as the compassionate and wise character we first encountered. If only she could have seen how much Dev would always need her guidance, and set him free to explore his relationship with Sona in the confidence that she would always be his emotional anchor. she could have spared herself so much pain and distance.

I've always been a huge fan of Erica's comic timing, and got a glimpse of it yesterday after a long time! I loved the scene when she snuck into the kitchen and drank the kaadha. Her furtive looks and reation to the taste were absolutely adorable! 😆 This is exactly the kind of scene I was hoping to see more of, little moments that show us the quirky Sona we knew and loved! Accepting that Dev is still the answer to her "illness" is bitter indeed but necessary for Sona to be cured. For now she has admitted the notion only in her own mind, making sure that nobody else could see, but it's an important start. Bijoy preaches that anyone who makes you question yourself is wrong for you; today, Sona questioned the medicine she got from the doctor and tried another way...

These two, I tell you. ☺️ They didn't even realise it was raining when they were gazing into each other's eyes. It reminded me of Sona's dialogue, "baarish aaye ya na aaye; aap aayenge to mann khud hi bheeg jayega." Little Soha had to come and remind them that there is world outside, in which, yes, it is actually raining; the rain is not just in their hearts and minds after a 7-year drought. 😉

This camp is basically building the foundation of what Sona and Dev will have to fight for on their return to Delhi; it's the calm before the storm. Dev is beginning to understand that his family is here, and if only he chooses to fight for it, it's not too late to have everything he dreamed of. The ice-fortress that Sona had built around her personal feelings as a woman, is slowly thawing with proximity to the only man who ever touched that part of her soul. It will refreeze on return to Delhi, but as all ice-cream lovers know, it's never the same once it's melted. 😆

Finally, I like they way they are using KKHH. It reminds me of how they invoked things like Pride and Prejudice and Devdas, only this one is on Soha's level, so it's a bit more literal. Promises on this show are made to be broken, and it's no different for Sona's promise to Bijoy that Soha will accept her parents separation without question. It's natural for a little child to want her parents together, and I would be surprised if Soha didn't feel this way at least at first. Of course, it's a different matter that this is not always possible, and I am interested to see how Sona and Dev deal with this complication when it crops up.

Lovely analysis. I love characters that change either to better themselves or to accept their follies and become better individuals. Taking that into account, the Creatives could be on the right track. But a heart-to-heart convo between the leads is important, if they show Dev-Sonakshi patching up. It shouldn't be an emergency situation like 'Humsafar' where the child is sick etc. But I liked the character of Khirad where she speaks her mind and where Ashar apologises for his mistakes. Love has no ego. If two individuals love each other immensely, accepting mistakes is no crime and cannot belittle one in front of the other. So, while Dev accepts his folly, Sonakshi also needs to accept that she ran away too quickly and gave her family more importance than Dev, knowing fully well that she could have displayed more sensibility while handling such delicate situations!!

Hi every one I like the yesterday's episode. It was nice In the yesterday's episode first time in the rain dance Dev and Sona meet after 7 years. They were Dev and Sona. I am have the old feel when they were only two how they were happy and complete. Now Coming to Soha It was her first time that she has seen her mother and father in one frame. She have a smile on the face. when she see them together .how suhana is, going to like the idea of her mother and father are, together and have her confusion related to there relation because, eventually she will see her mother happy with his father. And her and golu's, innocent questions are, going to force them to think differently. Slowly dev and sona is coming together as mother and father of soha and as a person and the outer layers are becoming transparent or I say getting fed in front of each other.I am sure at the end of the summer camp soha and sona will accept dev as soha's papa and dev will accept sona as sona's mother openly. Now coming to Ex.GKB plan She feels that she can use the Fear of snake against dev. But I feel her this plan is going to the flop one because for the time being if we consider that dev is having a phobia for snake but when the thing come to the child's safety ever parent will overcome with the his own fear Or may be after seeing soha and golu in danger dev and sona might come together and fight with there fear. Lets see how they are going to show this. But i above mention all the situations are not going to be understood by ex Gkb because his son never acted as father. Now Coming to Ishu Mata yesterday she was helpful but her expression at the end of the shot was have a different story to tell. You might have a feel that is she introspecting but I have an another opinion about it. Now, coming to ishu mata her problem was she, is not getting the importance as, when she received the call she was expecting that soha must have, asked dev to make a call as soha wants to talk to ishu. For ishu as, she is soha's, grandparent soha, should get attached to her and, say dadi dadi and give her importance's, as, it was given by dev previously. I am not saying she don't love soha but, ishu's love is always self-centered to her importance and this is going to to create a problem. and I have two reasons for it One is from Commercial or Ph point of view and One from Character point of view. First I will explain the Ph point of view now Honestly if they show that she has started the introspecting the what they will show with the one year extension. They have added so many gray sheds in the character that they can't make her understanding in one episode . They will show this process slowly and for this process start first they required to show that she is understanding her mistakes.
Now from character point of view firstly she is the person who never accepts her mistakes easily and another part is she is very selfish when it comes to her dreams. From the last 7 years dev is not giving her the importance which she wants. Now coming to the dialog where she was explaining the parenthood. her another problem is she knows the good things but when it comes to her drams and her wishes if some good thing or good thought which is morally correct but if it going to harm her dreams or her wishes she can easily side line them and pick up those things which will be helpful for her. That's why still mamiji and her red is at dixit diwas and sona is out of dixit niwas . For her it is always her way only. interesting part will be how she is going to accept the sona's presence in the form of soha and as soha's mother. and the same rule is applicable to bijoy also.

Lovely analyses as always.
I wonder how would Ishwari feel if she knew Sona is at the camp too and how would Sona feel if she knew that the kadha is Ishwari's recipe? Logic says these two facts should be pretty obvious but are they? Wasn't Dev trying to bridge such gaps when he was lying in Season 1? Will he succeed in keeping these two worlds separated and maintain the energy he needs to get Soha into his life?

Sam, take a bow. Awesome post. Loved your take and we have people cribbing about such a breath of fresh air kinda episode after ages. Dev is always hated no matter what. But we have a positive approach to everything na?
P.S there was a thread where the posts kept appearing with MH for Dev and finally someone pointed out it was for 'man handler' and here I was thinking 'male hunk' 😃 . I like it that way, after the wet, plastered hair and cleavage baring hooded tee and sizzling looks exchanged with a 'bound (pun intended) in a spell ' Sona, we got yesterday don't you think it's more apt? 😆

P.P.S : it was a fun post and very sarcastic so I thought MH stood for 'male hunk'. 😆 . The girls there are total badass 😆

Thanks Rekha! I completely agree with you on the reconciliation. I really hope they don't go with a reuinion for Soha's sake, but at the same time, I see that as a definite possibility. This show has always employed the common cliches but given them a more sensitive treatment, and we might see the same unfold here. Besides, they need to find their next contrivance to have Dev and Sona in the same place for extended periods of time -- they had the office for Dev and Sona's initial tashan, the school for Dev's meeting with Soha, and now the camp to introduce a new, romantic undercurrent into Sona and Dev's interactions. The next step may well be finding a way to get them into the same house. Frankly, I would much prefer Dev to stay with the Boses for a while. He has always been the one in the relationship with less ego, and this would provide a lot of fresh interactions that we have been dying to see from the beginning of the show (more Asha/Dev please!).

As for Sona introspecting, I can see why it hasn't happened. Dev was left with nothing but a void and a life raft in the form of Golu. He lost the innocence in his relationship with Ishwari, and has been floating along for the past seven years, with nothing to do but think about how his life went wrong, and how to avoid that kind of devastation from happening a second time. It doesn't surprise me that he is the more emotionally sorted and self-aware one at this moment. Sona, on the other hand, entered an entirely new life, and between the new business and Soha, had ample means to distract herself from the void that Dev's absence left. It's only now that he has re-entered her life, and that too as a sensitive father to Soha, that Sona is beginning to get an inkling of what she missed out on all these years. This camp is just that... the beginning of Sona's awakening from this seven-year slumber, where she was on autopilot, fulfulling everyone else's needs (very like Dev 1.0).

It's yet another way to read the hand-tying scene. Dev is re-awakening the woman in Sona while he takes his share of the parenting load. And it's only when this sentient being with empathy and compassion is re-awakened that Sona's exploration of her own feelings can begin... because if anyone needs Sona's empathy the most, it's Sona herself. She needs to stop punishing herself, for the crime of falling in love with the wrong person, with the expectation of complete perfection. From the time he caught her after his and Soha's formal introduction, Dev has begun to sense that this guilt is the reason for the chip on Sona's shoulder, so he is giving less importance to her caustic words and taking control of the situation with his silence and his strategic provocations. I, for one, am really enjoying this hands-on, take-charge Dev (someone had to step up!) and his effectiveness.
